Comfort Suites Jackson-Cape Girardeau

We chose this hotel because of the pool and the king bed option. Unfortunately the pool was a disappointment because of the pool temperature which was frigid, When we asked the desk person about this, they replied that the owner wanted to keep the pool cold because of the cost of heating the water.

The pool was ice cold and they had no blankets at the front desk.

I’m glad we used a gift card for this and not our money. This place is not worth $150 a night! The front desk guy when we checked in was very little help on where anything was, the bath was dirty, and the indoor pool was freezing! The elevator clearly needs repairs, it made a loud clanking noise anytime you went up. Will not be going back.

Enjoyed pool and exercise room,room was comfortable and clean

Air conditioning was good. It was nice looking inside mostly, but too many noticeably unkept things. Outside of the building unkept. Breakfast area was not the cleanest. Mattress was cheap-ish. Service could have been friendlier.

No pool towels. Pool water super cold. Staff unfriendly. No explanation for anything. Dirty. Outdated. Would not stay there ever again.

Nice and clean room, the tub was broken though and was not able to take a shower, but just a bath. Also, a couple of lights were broken as well. Hate that we weren't able to swim as the pools closed at 10 and we were late to arrive, but love the fact you can check in anytime after 3

Non smoking hotel that has smoking area at front entrance to door causing non smokers to have to travel thru their disgusting 2nd hand smoke.in order to get inside.

My room key timed out and the staff were quick to help fix it and let me in the pool. Very friendly and helpful. Good variety at breakfast too.

The property was really nice the staff was friendly the only thing disappointing was the pool was already closed at 7:00 when it's specifically stated it was going to be open till 10:00 but the gentleman at the desk told me and another family that it was closed for cleaning on the cameras there was nobody in there cleaning and it looked clean I was more upset for my kids because they were excited about getting to swim and then they got disappointed.

Room was dirty I asked them to clean it the next day that still was not clean they did not vacuum the carpet they did not sweep the floors it was horrible I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!

Found previous guests items in our room, so it obviously hadn’t been well cleaned between stays.

The gentlemen that were at the front desk the night of check-in and the next morning were both very polite, but the hotel room was really dirty. I’m talking French fries, someone’s used false eyelashes; ironically, cleaning supplies, etc under the beds — smashed bug guts on the comforter — gaps large enough in the trim and baseboards where you could see bugs and their larva. If it wasn’t already 9:30 when we got there and I had an exhausted nine year old with me, I would have asked to cancel my room, or at least switch rooms. Luckily, there was extra bedding in the closet that was clean. For a hotel that is over $100/night on this site on a Sunday night with hardly any guests, I expect much better. To be fair, I didn’t complain because as I said, we were exhausted and it seemed like they were short staffed. On the plus side, the room was very spacious with nice amenities: fridge, microwave, separate lounging space. The bathroom was fairly gross as well with a lot of wear and tear to it. A serious pest remediation and remodel would do wonders. We didn’t have enough time to use the pool, and with the condition of the room, don’t think we would have anyhow.

The hotel was quiet and the room appeared to be clean mostly. There was mold/mildew on the shower caulk and my first room had a bit of a bug infestation. The bathroom door had water damage at the bottom and was peeling but worked properly.

My stay wasn't good at all. I had issues with the cleanliness of the hotel from the hotel entrance throughout the building. The room was dirty and not appealing to the eye. I asked to be moved to another room and found the same issues stained mattress, cover and musty smell. I will not consider this hotel in the future.

Our first room had mold grown on the night stand; along with old food on the floor with ants crawling on it. It also had a crumpled tissue under the bed. When we let them know staff tried to tell us a new room wasn’t possible. We stated that we had a 2 year old who does not need to be sleeping in a room in that state especially with mold. They then give us a second room only to discover there is blood on the sheets of the bed and toenail clippings on the floor. The lights didn’t work either in that room. The staff again tried to tell us a new room couldn’t be given to us we stated it is unsafe to allow a guest to sleep in a bed with someone else’s blood on the bed. They then took us to a third room and we again find bugs and the lights don’t work the carpet is ripped up and there is more blood on the door frame. We had taken pictures and videos of this as evidence. Also as im bent over the night stand the staff is on FaceTime with an unknown person and flips the camera to show my butt to whoever is on the call with them. My friend caught him and we demanded to speak to a manager. They stated we would have to wait until 12:30 the next day to speak with them due to manager going to other properties first. We stated this is an important issue that needs to be addressed and still told us the manger won’t come to speak with us earlier than that. Staff was very rude and also kept trying to interrupt us as we are extremely tired and frustrated. All taking place between 8:00pm-2:00am

I was promised 2 queen beds and a jacuzzi tub, but got 2 full beds and a regular tub. plus there where ants in the room.

The bathroom floors were gross. There were dried up contacts stuck to the floor. Floor was dirty with what looked like urine dried up.

It was a convenient stop. The lights on the desk and beside the Sofa did not work. The main light by the bed on left side as you stood at foot of bed facing the head of bed made loud pop and then flickered off and on.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very nice. We were staying here for the night before going home and the room was very big, had a microwave and mini fridge and it was very nice and clean. It has a indoor pool although we didnt use it. Nice hotel to stay in.

The location is ideal for interstate travel. Complimentary breakfast was nice with the exception of having two types of sausages, which I thought was unnecessary. The patties were delicious but the links were unnecessary. I would have loved to had a choice of bacon instead. The room was outdated, which did not add to the overall vacation experience. Otherwise, no other complaints or suggestions.

Requested a room on the east side of the building because the afternoon sun is very hot and bright but was told no other rooms were available. Tile floors were greasy, air conditioner was very noisy, lighting is room was poor.

It was ok, but the curtain over window was broke and would not close all the way. No do not distube door sign. Not enough light over coffee

The rooms were not very clean, the breakfast wasn't ready at 6am like it said and when it was put out the options weren't very good. There was lots of partying Saturday night which meant people in and out of their rooms all night. It was very hard to sleep with the doors slamming every 5 minutes. The staff was never at the front desk, so nothing was addressed or handled. It wasn't the best experience but it wasn't the worst. Some of the things were out of the staffs hands so they aren't all to blame.

Great customer service

Was woke up at 1015 by housekeeping just coming in our room then 15 min later a guy pounds on door to clean. Keep in mind this is only 1030 at this point. Checkout is 11 and I asked for a late checkout time so I do not know why they feel it’s acceptable to just use their key and come n our room before checkout time. I went and checked out at 1040 and lady at front desk said she Checked us out and it was her fault but if you want to not be walked in on 45 min before checkout then this is your place if you prefer respect this isn’t your place to stay.

It was clean and quiet. We were in town for a youth sports event. Breakfast was adequate. Staff was friendly. The hotel and location felt safe.

Clean location for my purpose

Place was quiet and pretty comfortable.. And convenient location for our event. Shower had no vent, so the bathroom was a sauna. Breakfast was not good.

It was convenient to the Sportsplex

Its not a place to stay with kids its so quiet and there is nothing close by

I was only there for 5 hours to sleep. It was cozy and clean. I only wish I had more time to rest in my bed. I’m not sure what the surrounding area was like - probably not wonderful, but there was a police car stationed outside between our hotel and the next hotel. Everything outside was well lit, and I kept my luggage in my car without being concerned.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious and up to date. The tv was a great size and the HBO channels were ample for my stay. The breakfast area was messy and not very welcoming. The eggs weren’t cooked all the way and the sausage was either under cooked or hard. The pool area was very noisy with guests planning loud music that could be heard on the second floor where my room was located. The front desk workers weren’t very friendly or welcoming.

Upon pd ahead arrival they wanted to charge an extra $150 . My husband is blind veteran with a 15 lb service dog .. they argued with my husband that we couldn’t stay without the extra $150. They said it was a deposit for damages; my opinion, it was an extra fee that wouldn’t be returned. This was never disclosed ahead of time in communication with the hotel. The bed was horrific , so uncomfortable,, the shade on window was torn when we came in the room and I made front desk aware but they wouldn’t come and verify that. Breakfast was non existent at 8:05 am. No one resupplied the food we had coffee and left. I’ll never stay in this hotel chain again.. being seniors and a blind military veteran, we were treated terribly

We enjoyed our stay and we're considering coming back in the future. The breakfast selection was basic but it was good and filling. The suite we were in was nice only problem I had with it was that the shower didn't have a shelf for our towels or toiletries like shampoo. Next time I would probably bring a shower caddy. Oh and definitely more pillows would have been nice all in all, good stay
