La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Jackson-Cape Girardeau

I was put on the 4th floor and the elevator sounds like it was about to Break so i used the stairs to go outside and smoke and now going on day 3 and still have not returned my 50$ deposit after making me walk up and down 4 flights of stairs because the elevator sounded like a death trap! literally!trap!stath3tsrstniu

Clean room, friendly staff, good breakfast. The only complaint is neither of the water fountains in the fitness center work

Staff was very friendly and very happily unlocked the EV charging station for me.

The facility itself was new and very nice. However, the pool was very green. You couldn’t even see the bottom and they were allowing people to swim. We were there for 3 days and it never changed.

Perfect! Clean, comfortable, safe, super friendly and helpful staff! It was a sellout weekend but the staff was still available, working hard, and everything flowed great! Also, great choice for EV drivers; their level 2 charger is free with your stay and the staff said very few people ever use it, so you will probably not have to wait. Other pay to use chargers are nearby at another business.

Went with my family definitely staying here again, the indoor pool is perfect for kids

Nice room and pool and fitness room. Bed a little hard and lumpy, sink drain slow, shower water pressure low, musty smell in bathroom (curtain?), pool opened too late for my aerobic exercises (8am). (Prefer bacon to sausage)

I would like to start out by saying the gentlemen that worked at the front desk was very kind and tried to help however he could. Upon arrival I checked into my room and made sure everything was clean and orderly. The first thing I noticed was hair all over one of the pillows. When I went to check the bathroom I found the floors to be absolutely filthy. There was hair everywhere. Not just a couple hairs either, it was filthy. It was not close to acceptable. I called the front desk and politely told the young man my situation. I explained that it was probably just overlooked but I would appreciate if someone could come and clean the bathroom floor and bring me a clean pillowcase. He was very apologetic and called for house cleaning. He did let me know that it may be a little bit because they were very busy at the moment. I said that was fine because we would be leaving and wouldn’t be back to the room until late so that would leave plenty of time to fix everything. When we returned the pillowcase had been changed but the floor had never been cleaned. I was very disappointed. I had to use a hand towel to sweep the floor and pile the hair and filth in a corner to get it somewhat tolerable. I understand that nothing will be spotless and things are easily overlooked, but when I politely gave a chance to rectify the problem and it was ignored, thats not ok. We made do but I wasn’t pleased. I won’t be staying here again if I have other choices. Cleanliness is a huge issue for me.

Our room had bed bugs. While I understand that this can happen, my issue was with the lack of concern and attention to the matter. I literally found a bug and took it down to the front desk in a plastic bag. Desk clerk said who could not do anything for me I would have to call the manager on Monday. So I have to do all the work??? Called on Monday, was told they couldn't do anything until the room was inspected later that day. They never called, I had to call again on Tuesday and was told me the room had not been inspected yet. I demanded a refund. Severe lack of concern for the issue so I doubt it will be addressed.

There were ants in my third floor hotel room

Nicest La Quinta we have stayed in so far. Super clean and the staff was great! Food options for breakfast were basic, but good. Everything was clean and quiet.

We really enjoyed our stay at La Quinta!! The staff was friendly & professional. The hotel was nice & clean. Our King room was very spacious. And it came with a basic continental breakfast. All at a reasonable price.

The room was clean so that’s a big plus. The air conditioning did not work properly. When we first checked in we turned it down and it cooled off. During the night it was not working and it was miserable. Did not sleep much at all because of that. Not sure if hotel actually controls that and turns it off or up, but about 10 am in the morning or starting cooling again, so made me think they do. Had king sized bed with 3 very small pillows for two people. Did not sleep comfortably with that either. Breakfast was very minimal and just ok. Didn’t enjoy the stay as we were unable to rest well. Disappointing

The only bad thing was that out. Air Conditioner was loud. I finally turned it off at 3am.

Overall great hotel, will probably stay again. Two pros compared to other hotels - the blinds are so much better than curtains and the wall thermometer made it easy to adjust temp and fan speed! Breakfast and cleanliness also great.

Lobby area, hallways and room was very clean and well maintained. The only thing I could think of that was unfavorable was the room above us sounded like they were dropping something constantly and we're stomping back and forth from 6am until about 830am but that is not the hotels fault one bit. Highly recommend this hotel

Great, newly built hotel, quiet beautiful rooms

This is a nice hotel with big rooms. If you’re going to stay here, I would recommend earplugs and eye mask. They only have shades on the windows and not curtains so soon as the sun‘s up your room is bright. I’ve never had a hotel room before where the light in the fire alarm on the ceiling lit up the room every 10 minutes when it blinked.

Very large room with large walk-in closet. Will stay again.

The bed was hard as a rock. The mini fridge didn’t work. But the hotel was clean and the front desk lady was very nice

My partner and I were in town for a family wedding and stayed for 3 nights. The staff at this hotel were amazing! They were, over the top, friendly and helpful with anything we needed. They allowed us to gather with family outside on the patio and checked on us several times. The room was clean, the bed was super comfortable, breakfast was great and we loved the patio area. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

We were extremely disappointed. When we first arrived the front desk worker was in the “business center” on a computer with ear buds and didn’t even look up. Once in our room, we discovered the TV didn’t work and we had to switch rooms. When we went to bed the comforter was extremely rough and itchy and we couldn’t even use it. When we got up to take a shower the hot water wasn’t working in there or in the sink. When we discussed the issues with the manager in the morning she brushed off our concerns and didn’t care.

The staff is absolutely terrible. I never take the time to write reviews but felt this one was necessary. Do NOT stay here unless you want poor service and enjoy being nitpicked about every move or every request! We have never encountered such ridiculous behavior by staff members.

There was a sign on the counter that explained what happens when you pay with debit. I asked the desk clerk what that meant. She said don't worry about that. It doesn't apply to you- you're prepaid. They just take 3% for paying with debit. They took more out of my account then I paid to stay there. When I called later to ask why that is they said my institution is holding it, not them. I explained what happened the previous night and no sympathy. The sign was cryptic which is why I asked the desk clerk! I travel extensively and haven't had to deal with this. Typically they waive the fee. So now I'm short $100 for a 1 night stay. Disappointed that people are penalized because they don't have a credit card. That is cash when will now be available to me in potentially 30 days when my vacation is over. Poor practice for an industry that benefits from vacationers. Will not stay again. To be fair the rooms were nice and clean...is that worth it for poor customer service? Not for me!

The room isn’t very clean. There was over an hour delay for check in. Not one time did any of the staff show empathy or even apologize on the hotel’s behalf. We traveled hours just to be told we had to wait for a clean room well after 3pm check in with no ETA. If the staff showed compassion it wouldn’t have been as bad but he was very snarky.

Great place to stay right off I55

Overall had a comfortable stay. Safe and convenient location. Free breakfast buffet was good, clean. Toaster was not working during our stay, but other than that, was ok.

We were in town visiting family and were looking for a nice, quiet relaxing place to stay. This hotel appeared to be new, had a lovely lobby and very nice staff. The room and bathroom were great and it is conveniently located off the interstate We will definitely be back in the Fall. Thanks for a nice stay. Oh and the price was another plus!

The hotel was very nice. What was a little disappointing was on Monday 3/4/24 we had been up late the night before and we had understood breakfast was from I think 7 or 6 am to 10 am like Sunday. Unfortunatelly when we went to have breakfast at 8:50 it was closed down at 9:00. Other than that everything was great.

It is clean and ok if you have to have a place. Not very much Shower pressure. The breakfast is very “ok”. Starts at 7am on Saturday. The host will single you out if you get a plate at 6:54, unknowingly that it starts at 7.
