I had stayed for a week. This is a great place if you need a long stay and on a budget. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have plenty of things to help with your stay such as, FREE laundry, pool, gym, a checkout wall of various things that maybe you hadn't brought or needed to borrow, a shopping mart, and 24/7 coffee. They were helpful and wanted to accommodate any way they can. The area around is nice as long as you aren't looking for quick walk accessibility like restaurants or sites. They are next to a school and just a block down is the park that has walking paths around a pond, dog parks, and courts. If I were in need of another extended stay, this would probably be my choice in the area.

The property is dated however very clean. Free washer and dryer is a nice addition. No resturant but nice little convenience store close to everything. Nice pool and grilling area.

This hotel is coming back from hurricane damage and they are putting finishing touches on some areas. The setting is quiet, beds and pillows were very comfortable! The pool was heated. The staff was very friendly and accomodating.

The tub was dirty with sand on arrival - since we only spent a single night we didn’t see a need to make a big deal of it. The card key system seemed broken and took a few minutes every time we tried entering our room. The property was located adjacent to a high school, and wasn’t walkable to anything significant for our family. I’d likely explore other lodging options in the future.

Upon checking in I discovered the hotel is still very much un-repaired from the hurricane. The bottom half of all walls on the first floor appears to be just plastic sheets. The hallways upstairs are very warm and smell strongly of urine. I was told by the girl checking me in that I could have a 1pm checkout. At 10:30 I discovered that was not true. The “general manager” at the front desk seemed to have no clue which of her staff members worked the night before that would have told me I could check out at 1pm. She “graciously” gave me a whole 30 minutes to get out, an hour and a half shy of what I was told the night before. Despite being a rewards member with them she would not allow me any later of a checkout than 30 minutes, again, despite what her employee told me the night before. Save your money, stay somewhere that has decent customer service and is worth even the “discounted” rate per night.

This Hotel should be condemned by the health department. The bedroom walls are ripped open, carpet filthy, toilet never scrubbed under bowl rim, bedding looks tired. Just disgusting and I was held hostage by their policy of forfeiting my $300/night deposit if I walked. I hope I don't get sick from the filth.

The room was nice enough. Big bathroom and a full size fridge. The coffee maker had to be replaced twice whichvthe staff was quick to do. If i have any complaint it was the bed, it was like sleeping on a granite slab.

Charged $25 per day on top of hotels.com reservation. Typical inexpensive hotel that has had many poor renovations. Bad drywall patches, mismatched outlets, rusty fixtures. Large fridge, but it's noisy. TV is mounted in corner at 45° angle to bed and can't be adjusted to face bed. TV is small, not a smart TV so no streaming, about 40 basic cable channels. AC / heat unit is reasonably new and not too loud. Carpet is dingy. Chairs both show wear. Room was reasonably clean. Good water pressure in the shower. Staff seemed nice enough. Laundry room with a couple sets of newer units. Small "gym" with 3 machines. Wifi speed in room was 31mb. I had a 3rd floor room (according to other reviews 1st floor was remodeled after hurricane Ian so those are probably nicer)

I was so impressed by this particular Candlewood Suites. Upon arrival everything was above and beyond. I was staying there to visit my husband at Healthpark Hospital for open heart surgery. I felt frightened and the staff had shared my problem with me. Showering me with a vase of flowers and a desk like picture of a letter telling me they commended me for my bravery during this time. It was signed by all employees and stated how happy they could show compassion to my family as our roads crossed. I will never forget this Candlewood Suites in Fort Myers Fl. near Sanibel Gateway.

We stays at this property due to the location close to the hospital. We were visiting a sick relative. The reservation got messed up. Our fault / their fault, I'm not sure - but it was messed up. The on-site staff did NOTHING to fix the problem. I was traveling with my 6'3" college aged son. We booked for 2 beds in the room - the room had 1 bed ! Staff said we had to go back through Expedia and did not even attempt a solution. I don't have the first clue how you would "go back through Expedia" to fix this. So, on top of sitting in a stressful hospital environment all day we came back to 1 cramped smallish bed for almost no sleep. The 2 night stay was well over 500.00 and that money was gone so we had to stay. The 3 and 4th nights we found a decent hotel and actually slept. The hotel itself is OK but nothing special. If you want anything like customer service you should look elsewhere.

My Experience was very excellent and The front desk lady in the Am was so polite and she went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable due to the situation that accrue at checking in to my room. The housekeeping Supervisor was awesome as well she went above and beyond to fix the issue and I’m so thankful for those to lady’s.

As someone using Candlewood Suites as a long term option in a transitional time, I am quite impressed. I needed a place that would take my 2 dogs and provide a comfortable and safe place to stay while looking for permanent residency. Although It’s recovering from the hurricane you don’t feel it. It’s clean, quiet and I feel very safe. I feel like I’m the only one here 😂 I have a kitchenette, comfortable bed and great space. Free laundry and housekeeping every 5 days. All the staff are so nice and accommodating. So close to the beaches and all shopping. It’s not the Hilton, but for the great price and value…. It’s fantastic!!

I chose this hotel because of the convenience of having a full kitchen and we were happy to be able to use it after we got a few kinks that had to be worked out but all in all he had a very comfortable time. We thought the pool area would be a lot nicer not only was a deserted, but it was no hot tub. It just wasn't inviting looking. The pool was very clean and nice and warm so we did enjoy that. There was no continental breakfast of any kind and I always feel that when you pay over $200 per night they should least be a continental breakfast available. The front desk staff, including Brandy were exceptional very very friendly and helpful. Being an IGH member made it nice to have a 2 o'clock check out.

I didn't realize it when I booked this hotel that it was an extended stay. And due to every room having a kitchenette, they assume everyone wants to cook...so no breakfast. Mine was a one night stay. Also, my room had fleas. I am a serious pet lover. So I feel for the pet, but I don't need fleas or to take them home to my pets... Otherwise the room was really nice. Big bathroom etc.
