Firstly this could be a wonderful hotel, the reception is grand as as is the main hotel its such a shame theres so much going for it, if only some money was spent on it to repair all the little annoying thing's that spoiled it, such as broken sunbeds, clutter such as 'spare' large panes of glass leanings up against the wall on the public balcony are, which is a disaster waiting to happen, our shower head wouldn't adjust so it was really difficult not to soak the floor and the shower hose was worn that it was leaking, paint peeling on kitchenette cupboards, 2 wine glasses that were totally different sizes, diningroomchairsthatwobble, just so many little things that could be so easily rectified. The pool area is lovely and the jacuzzi was great and the gardens were beautiful except the ornamental pond was completely different clogged with blanket weed, again just not maintained. The breakfast was very good and the staff were helpful. I feel so sad that I couldn't rate it higher but it was very tired and shabby.

La habitación era muy chula. Muy cómoda la cama y las almohadas. Desayuno buffet muy variado y todo muy rico. Cuenta con parking, piscina y jacuzzi. El personal de recepción muy agradable.

The property is a beautiful old house. I stayed in the annex which was undergoing much needed renovation. It was very cold and I had to run the shower about 5 minutes to get warm water, which seems very wasteful. It wasn’t walkable to anything because the road was one way and extremely narrow with no place for pedestrians! They offered a breakfast buffet but very limited and although they offered scrambled eggs, they were very cold. No potatoes or anything to go with them. Nice selection of fruits and breads. Decent coffee. Parking in a lot down the hillside from the hotel. The lot was completely dark making the walk back up to the room very slippery and dangerous. Lovely garden and pool area (closed for the winter).

A Quinta é um casarão antigo muito bonito e fica num lugar muito agradável, com muitas plantas e árvores e muito tranquilo. Os quartos são grandes e confortáveis. O café da manhã é muito bom. Tem estacionamento. O centro histórico está a uma pequena caminhada. O único ponto negativo é a jacuzzi que precisaria ser limpa diariamente. Achamos que a água estava meio suja, quando desligamos os jatos de hidromassagem.

Parking on site was included, however, we arrived before check in time & did not have the code to access the parking lot. We had to find parking elsewhere until we could check in & driving/parking in Sinatra is not easy! We did not drive anywhere once we parked at the B&B. Took the Hop On/Off bus instead.

O Quinta das Murtas é simplesmente fantástico. Próximo do centro, dar pra ir a pé para vários pontos turísticos e o pequeno almoço é excelente. Tem piscina e uma jacuzzi dos deuses. Super recomendo e pretendo voltar em breve.

Väldigt trevligt hotell på ett lugnt område i Sintra. Inhägnad parkering där bilen står tryggt var ett viktigt vilkor för oss. Enkel promenad ner till centrala Sintra. Kan rekommendera detta hotellet!

Very pleasant hotel, located just outside the main area of Sintra, although only 10-15 mins walk into town. A good continental style breakfast and helpful staff, if you have any questions. Hot tub and small pool were very welcome after some hot days of visiting attractions / walking.

Property was very beautiful. They switched my room to an apartment on the ground floor which was very damp and smelled a little mildewy. There was a dehumidifier in the bathroom, but it wasn’t adequate. Room was still very damp.

Un cadre idyllique. Des petites habitations disséminées dans le jardin autour de la piscine. Par contre l’équipement de notre chambre était succinct : pas de chaise pour poser des affaires, un couvercle de wc ne tenant pas en place et surtout des odeurs de canalisations !!!!! Petit déjeuner basique, pas de jus de fruits frais !

The main hotel building is an old palacio set in very pretty grounds. It is stunning and beautifully decorated and furnished. The views from the house are really lovely. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We were given a large apartment in the annexe which was perfect, and very clean. Great shower pressure and wifi, comfy beds and very quiet. Breakfast was excellent and you have timed sittings as the room is quite small and it saves queuing. The location is perfect. A 10 minute walk to the old town, and reasonably close to the main palaces. A 20 minute walk to one, and a short but steep Uber ride to the others. Free on site parking is a huge bonus. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it.

A unique and interesting property with lots of character, but unfortunately it doesn’t feel well maintained. Our rooms (apartments/cabins outside the main building) all had a musty smell and showed signs of disrepair. The pool had a green ring around it and the hot tub had a filmy scum on the top of the water. On the up side, the beds were comfortable, breakfast was good, and the employee who checked us in (João) was very friendly and helpful.

I'm sure if you stayed in the main house, you might have a different experience from us. We stayed in a bungalow and it was dire. Basically like staying at camp and not a good one. Perhaps we had their worst room, but the issues were really stupid, lazy stuff. There is a little deck up to the entrance - a board right is the center had clearly broken, instead of replacing it, they have screwed in another board on top creating a trip hazard or you could rip the soles of your feet on the exposed screws. One whole side of the bungalow is all windows the center window has a blind which was broken, so they nailed it is place, but they couldn't get that right and hung it at an angle leaving the window exposed. The remaining windows where covered with curtains that didn't close properly. The toilet seat is loose, which any house cleaner who cleaned the toilet would know. There is mold around the base of the shower and on shower hose. The furniture was basic and tired. Definitely not what we expected based on the pictures or reviews. Breakfast wasn't much to right home about. The house itself and the grounds look lovely, location is ideal, close to everything. Based on managing expectations, this is the worst experience we have had in a long time.

Everything was great. The location was walkable to all attractions and the staff and breakfast were wonderful. Bed and bedding were good. The only thing to understand before booking is that it’s a charming converted mansion so sound proofing may not be the best and some rooms might feel a bit tight, especially if you’re a larger person.

Good stay in a traditional Quinta building. Our room had been renovated fairly recently. Good location walking distance from old Sintra. Ample parking and very helpful and polite proprietor and staff.

The hotel was the best we stayed in on our trip. We had a spacious room with a kitchenette, although we didn’t use it. The outside area is very nice. The staff was very friendly and parking was abundant. The only problem is the hotel is far from everywhere, but I liked that. My wife and I wished we had another night.

Acomodação em uma mansão antiga, muito bonita e bem decorada, a equipe muito simpática e prestativa, nos emprestaram um ferro de passar roupas que achamos muito bom, café da manhã delicioso. Romulo was an absolutely fantastic host. He welcomed me and my daughter with a huge smile and made our check in seamless. He provided great information on the history of QDM as well as gave great insight on what and when to visit the local attractions. With a small error in booking rooms on my part, he was able to quickly provide us what we needed for a great stay. Offered us an early morning departure breakfast which is above and beyond. We will definitely be coming back!

I didn’t care for the check-in person, he was not friendly. Also he never gave me the code for the gate so when I came home one evening after midnight, the gate was locked I tried calling recording call back tomorrow. I had to Uber to another hotel to spend the night.

The guest reception person was very friendly & informative. Room was clean & pleasant. Breakfast was good. Easy walk into town. Parking on site was included, however, we arrived before check in time & did not have the code to access the parking lot. We had to find parking elsewhere until we could check in & driving/parking in Sinatra is not easy! We did not drive anywhere once we parked at the B&B. Took the Hop On/Off bus instead.

The location was perfect. The property is beautiful and just a 13 minute walk into the center of town. Many of the important sites are within walking distance. For those who prefer an uber at any time, please note that they were easily available. We took one from the train station just a short ride away. Additionally there is a bus available to help you access the parks that way. The breakfast room is open and overlooks beautiful plants and trees. The food was very good. We did not have a car. The bed and breakfast was beautifully decorated overall.

Everything was great. The location was walkable to all attractions and the staff and breakfast were wonderful. Bed and bedding were good. The only thing to understand before booking is that it’s a charming converted mansion so sound proofing may not be the best and some rooms might feel a bit tight, especially if you’re a larger person.

We booked for 2 nights and ended booking for another 2 nights. Great breakfast, parking is a plus, and 5 min walk to the train station, 15-20 min to the main square of sentra. The hotel is old, very basic but it was clean, a good home base to visit sentra and lisbon.

Stayed here for two nights during a spring trip. The cons-This property is not near the downtown or close to dining options. This wasn't a big deal for my family because we like walking and the area is beautiful (and hilly!) but if you have any mobility issues this place (and Sintra in general) would not be convenient for you. The pros- great breakfast, parking on the property, and you can avoid driving through downtown Sintra to get in and out. Every staff member we interacted with was very nice and helpful. The overall vibe was cute and charming.

We only booked for one night in Sintra, and for the most part, the stay was amazing. Our check-in was smooth and welcoming, and we were given straightforward information about what we could viably see in the time we were there, and where to find restaurants. When they found out we would be leaving before their breakfast schedule, they brought bread, cheese, meat, juice, milk, and fruit to our unit, so we wouldn't be traveling hungry. There was ample parking in the guest lot. We booked in a self-contained unit which had a kitchen, but no coffee or coffee maker. Other than that, the lighting is lacking outside, but many roads in Sintra are very dark at night, so walking is a challenge when the sun goes down.

This is the cutest B&B! We absolutely loved it here and wished we had stayed more nights. The staff are so friendly and helpful! The breakfast was delicious and served on the garden terrace! It is walking distance to the town and all the nearby castles. I can't recommend this place enough!

The property is a beautiful old house. I stayed in the annex which was undergoing much needed renovation. It was very cold and I had to run the shower about 5 minutes to get warm water, which seems very wasteful. It wasn’t walkable to anything because the road was one way and extremely narrow with no place for pedestrians! They offered a breakfast buffet but very limited and although they offered scrambled eggs, they were very cold. No potatoes or anything to go with them. Nice selection of fruits and breads. Decent coffee. Parking in a lot down the hillside from the hotel. The lot was completely dark making the walk back up to the room very slippery and dangerous. Lovely garden and pool area (closed for the winter).

Parking disponible gratuitement sur place (impossible de circuler en voiture pour visiter les châteaux). L'hébergement se fait dans plusieurs petites unités sur un terrain en pente. Romulo was extra helpful and helped me with shuttle to airport on last day. Old building with updated amenities with original grandeur. Decent location to central Sintra. Assess is easy and quick with Uber. Otherwise, it takes a good stroll on hilly terrains. Breakfast is good and basic to fuel our activities

What a beautiful property that is rich in historic charm. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the hrlpgul staff, easy parking on the property, and the restaurants within walking distance. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to enjoy the breakfast as we had an early flight back home.
