Chateau des Arpentis

I loved so much about this gem. Kids enjoyed the freedom to walk the grounds, wooden sword fight and use their imaginations! The piano could use some tuning (we are a musical family), but the kids enjoyed learning how to play French pool and practice reading their awesome book collection. Victor Hugo books in French!

One of my favorite stays in France. Property is remarkable with multiple areas to get lost and relax. Quiet country setting. Rooms are updated and fabulous. Breakfast was delicious and staff was friendly and inviting. Highly recommend!!!

Remote, quiet location. Beautiful property, amazing room (we had the villa away from the Château). You'll need to bring your own wine, cheese, picnic, food...the only food service is continental breakfast....but Ambroise is a very quick drive with many food options.

Beautifully renovated chateau....tho too many stuffed animals everywhere! Room was beautiful and really comfortable. Lovely lounge area but no bar or eating facilities and staff were rather pedantic and reluctant to allow use of their cutlery or coffee machine. Dishwasher was available ...but always full and dirty and no other crockery available. Games were available but incomplete...only half a set of cards and no balls to go with table football. Swimming pool floor was very dirty and unwelcoming. Sadly lacking in attention to little details but otherwise lovely. Also lacking in focus with either a bar or food area needed.

Beautiful elegant location. Amazing breakfast on the terrace. Great food and chateaus nearby. But this hotel could be even better with just a little creativity. I recommend putting a bar in the second floor salon and nightly card games a la the Ancien Regime. The space is underutilized

We had a wonderful time here! We stayed in the family room which was perfect for our family of four. The elevator made it easy to bring our baggage upstairs. We enjoyed eating the continental breakfast on the patio outside each morning and loved relaxing by the pool after exploring during the day. Laurent at reception was helpful in case of any questions we had.

It also has its own microkitchen where you can put your own cold drinks. Rooms were charming, perhaps the bathroom fixtures could be improved/fixed. Breakfast was just right, perhaps a bit overpriced.

We only stayed one night; wished we could have stayed a week! This is like a castle; beautifully appointed and the grounds are gorgeous. A truly unique experience. Also the beds were comfortable and the shower worked fine; and our host was perfectly cordial.

It was nice but very quiet and the chateau did not have much to offer.

Facilities were clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in November so it was low season and there was nobody else around to be seen. Bedspread had a large rip. Bed was, however, comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent.

Hotel maravilhoso, porem peca na manutenção de detalhes e um ponto fraco para mim, foi os carpetes.. alergia prejudicou a estadia. Café da manhã inicia apenas as 8:30am, muito tarde. Lugar lindo e encantador, a cidade e o hotel.

Gentleman who greeted us was pleasant. Property is incredibly large and had amazing character. Our first room had carpet that looked decades old, was badly worn, had the pile packed down and looked tired. We asked if there was a room that was available without carpet and they did accommodate us. The second room was fine but attention to detail was poor: Frayed towels, old bedding, burned out lightbulbs in bedroom and bathroom, tub/shower seemed inexpensive with unstable floor and hand shower mounted on magnetic strip what would not point in right direction. Overall, was a reasonable place to stay but we had expected more for the money.

We loved our stay. The chateau is stunning. Bed was not super comfy but the rest made up for it.

El encargado fue muy poco amable a la llegada la habitacion linda pero todo cruje y suena no hay agua para beber te dejan vasos pero no hay jarra o botella de agua. La propiedad es preciosa pero le faltan servicios para poder ser un hotel

We had a lovely stay at a gorgeous château. The only minor issue is that the manager seem to get irritated with me because I was having difficulty with the washing machine.

The property looked just like the photo from the website. We arrived little after 6 PM n needed to get ready for our outside dinner reservation for 7pm. The reception gave us a short orientation about the property n told us if entrance closed we can use the code to access into the property. He left me key on a cushion keychain about 8cmx8cm n a hook on it also a bottle of water. We quickly got ready and left the hotel. When we back from our dinner, it’s all dark, but the hotel was light up. Since we did not check the hotel as we check in so we walk to the garden, we saw two people sitting at the public balcony area, we walked by nod and said good night to them and entered into the hotel back to our room. After we get back to our room, we try to open the water n we couldn’t find the bottle opener. My roommate said maybe is the hook from the keychain? So we try twice, but no success the cap only open very little and I don’t want to break the hook so I brought the bottle to the reception desk. But there’s no one at the desk ,I checked on the reception counter, there’s no bottle opener left on the counter, so I dial the phone and tell the person that I am looking for the bottle opener. The person was very rude and said are you kidding me? Is this some kind of joke? That person came out reached out n grabbed the bottle n the keychain opened the cap n kept yelling at me are you kidding me? when he grabbed the bottle the cap cut my finger I was bleeding n he kept yelling

The location was beautiful. It was peaceful and very quiet. I would highly recommend you hire a car as this hotel is out of the way. Otherwise we had a lovely stay at this place.
