Hotel under renovation We I booked no information about the situation: lobby was located in the loading Bay Area (where all rubbish are usually collected) and when I checked in no one informed about possible delays (lift etc) I wasted daily at least 30 min waiting for lift. I paid full price for poor service and quality No more in this hotel Only 1 lift working and crazy waiting time (serving 26 floors)

The Dorsett is a pleasant hotel, clean, comfortable, and with very agreeable staff. It offers a good shuttle service between 10am and 6pm to 5 major points of interest. The room was fine, with great shower pressure, quite well noise-insulated, but if people in nearby rooms are determined to be obnoxiously loud for hours into the night, few hotels can combat that. For us, it was only one night out of nine, though. The room was ok for two, not cramped, but with limited seating. We were happy with it. The bathroom area is behind frosted glass next to the bed. Breakfast was varied, with both Western and Asian hot components, plus fruit, juice, pastries - more than adequate for typical travellers. Housekeeping staff were excellent: efficient and unobtrusive. I'd be very happy to return here.

The elevators were busy all the time and we had to wait quite a long time to get on one.

Staff were very courteous, responsive and helpful. Nice to provide water refill and self serve laundromat. Room was small, not enough storage space. Bathroom was cruise ship size. Hotel shuttle bus schedule was not flexible for airport transfer.

This was a most satisfactory stay. The overall experience was excellent, exceeding expectations in all areas from check-in to housekeeping and restaurant service. I extend my sincere appreciation to Eddie and Kevin at the front desk; bell persons Thomas and Jimmy; restaurant captain Eric; and housekeeper Zoey. My gratitude also extends to the entire staff for contributing to a relaxing and comfortable stay. The reinstated fitness center was a welcome addition. I highly recommend this establishment.

Dear sir We have just completed a stay in the Dorsett hotel which is undergoing serious renovations disrupting the hotels safety. This hotel should not be open whilst the renovations are ongoing. The corridors are Cotterell with cleaners equipment making it difficult to get past without injury. There is only one elevator in reception most hotels of the size should have six. They are slow and inadequate and the queues to use them are huge making them unsafe and over burdened, when they finally arrive, which can be 30 minutes or longer. This hotel is a fire hazard and needs to be closed until renovations are completed. I look forward to your reply Regards Paul hewitt

I like this hotel because of the filtered water station, and the self service laundry. It has all the things I need to stay. The breakfast in the hotel was very good, and We met people from many countries. The hotel staffs are very polite, friendly and helpful! One of the down side is the small size of the rooms, but that can be tolerated. The hotel is very popular so the elevators are busy during peak hours. Sometimes the wait was quite long.

Relatively good value for money, especially since housing / accommodation costs are on the higher side overall throughout the city. Location is ideal - 7-11, McDonald's, Wellcome, Mannings & a ton of other eateries are all within close proximity. Olympic MTR station is a 5 min walk & Mongkok MTR station is a 10 min walk away. The hotel runs a shuttle bus on the hour to bring guests to a few popular spots nearby, which is super helpful - langham place / Mongkok MTR, temple st, star ferry / canton rd, elements. Spots on the shuttle do fill up quickly, so it is recommended to show up early. Rooms are clean, but showing signs of aging, especially the shower, desk & bedside tables. Rooms are decent size for the price, considering the location. On-site laundry is a huge plus, but there are only 2 washers & 2 dryers. This can lead to line ups if you go at prime times. A breakfast buffet was included in my booking, but we only took advantage a handful of times. The buffet area isn't very big (size constraints are a common theme in Hong Kong) and the variety is limited. Taste is also just ok. Unless I needed a quick bite to eat, I preferred to eat out, as HK is a food paradise. Customer service is excellent, which I tested on different days by using both Cantonese & English. The hotel is highly recommended. It's an excellent choice for this price range.

No restaurant, no bar or lounge area. There are no areas to just sit around and meet other guests or friends. Laundry is fantastic

Good hotel above average for HK standards and for the price however could be cleaner lots of of dust under the bed and the carpet was very dirty.

The room was dirty when we arrived. The toilet had someone’s period blood all over the seat and it was absolutely disgusting. How that could have been missed is beyond me. They clearly had not cleaned the bathroom and just changed the beds. The room was also tiny and not the advertised size. The reason for 2 stars is the breakfast was good and when we asked for the room to be cleaned it was done.

The rooms weren’t clean and we had to ask reception a number of times.

The “Comfort” room was extremely compact but generally functional. However, it lacked adequate storage space, no wardrobe or coat hooks, so be prepared to live out of your suitcase. The bathroom was similarly small but serviceable, and the shower worked well if you don’t mind shower curtains. Breakfast was included in my booking and labeled as a “continental breakfast,” but it turned out to be a mini buffet with a pleasant variety of fruits, pastries, dim sum, and Chinese dishes, an unexpected and welcome surprise. The filter coffee was awful, though there is a bean-to-cup machine available, which made a much better alternative. Reception staff were not particularly welcoming, especially one tall young staff member, who seemed to do the bare minimum. The breakfast area on the restaurant floor was open in the mornings, but during the day, access was blocked with a grubby sticker on the lift button claiming the floor was under refurbishment, clearly misleading. A simple sign indicating “Breakfast Only” would have been more honest and professional. On a more positive note, the housekeeping team was friendly and efficient, keeping the room clean and tidy. However, cleaning is only provided upon request, so guests should be aware of that policy.

Tiniest room i have ever stayed 7-10 min walk to the nearest MTR station though they have a shuttle every hour.

Upon arrival to the hotel, the lobby is beautiful. But once I arrived in our hotel room it was like a downgrade. The technology in the room was so outdated, even the HVAC thermostat is old and really noisy. Omg the shower on was so tight, one can nearly turn around in it. What was annoying was the shower curtain, when showering it was blowing all over the place.

Great location close to restaurants, shops and mass transit. Easy to walk to everything and taxi stand in front of hotel. Great service from the front desk staff. Room is very small and little storage space for clothes.

The room room was extremely small and bath area is too small, even smaller than that of a cruise ship bath area. No toiletries were provided. No drinking water was provided. It is quite a bit of walking to a MTR train station.

Overall great stay. We were at this hotel for 4 nights before a cruise. The positives: - staff is excellent. Quickly dealt with any requests. - clean; strong hot shower - convenient location. 10 minute walk to Olympic Station and about 20 minutes to Mongkok station. - mini refrig and kettle with tea/coffee - there is a shuttle that runs 10-6 which makes 4 stops. First one at a mall with the Mongkok MTR station; one near the Star Ferry - excellent Korean restaurant 2 minute walk; McDonald’s across the street also. The negatives - the hotel only has A/C. No heat. We were there during a cold spell - they did have a limited number of mini heaters We got one and it really helped. - the beds are very firm and sort-of short. They were kind and put two mattress toppers on for me. - there are only 2 elevators which at rush times was difficult especially with luggage - rooms are small. We knew that when we booked but there is really no place to put suitcases. We did not eat in the restaurant so I have no info on it. Overall it was an excellent stay for the price.

Location is good, many places walkable with plenty of food options around. However windows probably not double glazed as can hear traffic clearly even from upper floors. Walls are not very well sound proofed so can hear adjacent rooms chatting etc as well as people chatting outside in the hallway which most nights had families with multiple rooms visiting each other and just generally chatting middle of the night. Use the service elevator to be faster otherwise will be waiting for a long time especially in the morning. Breakfast is good, alternates western and Chinese each day.

Overall we were happy with our stay. The price matched the value. However: 1) the breakfast is really bad, and the start vacuuming and trying to kick you out at 9:30 on the clock. No service and unfriendly staff in the breakfast overall. 2) The reception speaks English but not really. Hard to have a coversation and they are really not helpful.

This is my 2nd stay in this hotel, and I will definitely choose the same hotel next time! Convenient location to everywhere! Hotel offers a free shuttle that takes you to the popular places. All the staff is so friendly and helpful! I esp. appreciate Nicole who had responded to my pre-trip questions within a few short hours.

Staff are exceptional! Instant response and help even out of their way in an emergency situation. Constantly checking in if further help is needed which are much appreciated. Rooms are clean, great WiFi connections, taxis, MTR, buses within minutes of walking distance. Therefore I extended my stay. Thank you all!

This property is my preferred lodging choice, primarily due to the exceptional service provided by the friendly and helpful staff. Managers Eddie and Gus consistently demonstrate a proactive approach to guest assistance, while Restaurant Manager Eric and his team, including Tin Tin and Katie, maintain a high standard of attentive service. Furthermore, Zoe's efficient housekeeping ensures immaculate room maintenance. The overall comfort and positive experience contribute significantly to my satisfaction.

Check-in process was slow, and the service rendered by the manager was bad. He is unwelcoming, did not greet, speak nor smile. The manager did not explain the navigation to my room, wi-fi connection or my VIP benefits at all. Wi-fi connection in the room was terrible and had to make request twice to get it fix. Wi-fi in the lobby wasn't working either. Other room amenities are alright. Check out process is however great, serviced by a helpful lady. Baggage keepers were great too.

モンコックと名前がついているが、モンコック駅までは徒歩10分以上かかる。 近くにはスーパー、マック、お粥屋さんなどあり。 ファミリークワッドの部屋を利用しました。 ベッド以外の場所はほとんどなく、荷物を広げる場所は狭い。 香港で3つ以上のベッドのある部屋は少なく、ここを選んだ。 モンコックからの徒歩が疲れた体にきついので、滞在の後半はタクシーを利用しました。

convenience to everything

Very good location. Short walk to Olympic MTR or even walkable to Mong Kok. Decided after the stay, this is a better location than a previous hotel we stayed and would book in the future too.

What makes this a 4-star rated hotel is the helpful and friendly staff, the continental breakfast buffet, and the surprise welcome gift (a bottle of red wine). The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, but is starting to show its age. But overall a 4 out of 5 stars for the hotel's location, the excellent staff, the comfy beds, and the excellent and yummy breakfast.

Bathroom is small. The hangers for clothes are too high. Good to have the windows bay area for luggage bag. Breakfast is basic. Close to Olympic station.

Was awaken by commotion outside our room. Apparently a couple had a fight and was banging our doors. Breakfast wasn’t fantastic. Not much variety. Hotel staffs just stand around. Did not bother to serve the hotel residents. Area was small not much sitting places. Overall still not a bad place to stay in , if you just need a simple place to stay with no amenities.
