Location was an ok base for exploring the Barossa. Hotel was very quiet, we could never tell if the restaurant/bar was ever open. The hotel was ok and clean but a little run down, they need to take down the photos online of the swimming pool area as this was very misleading.

Lovely restaurant, easy parking, friendly staff, quiet, on the outskirts of town but so easy to drive to the centre of Tanunda, or alternatively go to Nuriootpa which was only a 5-10 minute drive.

Very poor communications. We received an email to advise reception closed at 4pm on a Sunday. We arrived prior to find it unattended, with a an after hours number to call. The number went un-answered for a long time (with frequent msg's apologising due to the high number of calls)...yeah right.... a Sunday afternoon in Tanunda could not be any more sleepy. Room was then navigated OK, but was told everything else in the hotel on Sunday was not open.. bar, restaurant etc.. (make that Monday as well) The hotel itself seemed great, and would definitely visit again, but next time later in the week.

The location is excellent. Well situated to get to Tanunda, Angaston, Lyndoch, nuri etc all within 15 mins or less. There are supermarkets, bakeries, hungry jacks very close by. The room & bathroom are spacious. Toiletries supplied are of good quality & the water pressure in the shower is good. The taps are mixer type so very convenient. You get to park your car right outside your unit on the ground floor. The only gripe we have is that the shower stall is not well designed so the toilet floor gets very wet after a shower. Fortunately, housekeeping cleans every day. The reception is supposed to be open till 6pm on the day we arrived however it was already closed when we got there around 515pm. We had to call a number for affer hours check in support and give our full credit card details over the phone - I was very unhappy with this.

Five stars, excellent property. Fantastic staff, comfortable, clean, spacious rooms, great restaurant. Only criticism, the rooms near the garden beds get dirty floors due to people trekking through the garden beds with luggage etc rather than taking the longer walk up the ramp.

Ideal location for an event we were attending. The rooms have been upgraded since the last time I stayed. Makes a difference. Bar closed before 10pm on the Saturday which disappointed several of us returning from the event. I did have a gripe - the floor was only clean in the areas you could see. Behind the curtains and under the bed could’ve done with some attention.

Der Unterkunft ist sein Preis wert. Wir sind mit dem Auto dort gewesen, alles hat wunderbar geklappt. Alle Personal waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Gratis Parkplaz. Die Wände sind hellhörig. Die Sauberheit im Zimmer könnte besser sein. Unser Zimmer war sehr staubig😅 Das Restaurant schliesst um 20:00 Uhr.

Family of 4 - large bedroom big enough to fit portacot, great size living - very clean with fold out couch, tv had Netflix (if you have your own login), small kitchenette was great to feed kids, bathroom SO good - massive, very clean, huge bath and shower, giant towels. Room was serviced each day so nice to come back to a clean space. If it was summer would have been great as little porch area with space for kids to play in a garden-ish area. Block out curtains, heater was awesome - honestly no complaints and would definitely stay again.

We stayed in a deluxe room and enjoyed the large bath tub for a relaxing soak after a long day out. The room was modern, neat and clean. We had everything we needed and overall enjoyed the stay. On our second night some noisy neighbours moved into the room above us which want ideal and I did wonder why the hotel hadn’t put them in another room that wasn’t directly above us. It wasn’t and overly busy weekend.

A really nice hotel, nice modern updated room, lovely staff. My only complaint was the lack of block out blinds/curtains, especially being a kid-free stay where I could have a sleep-in! I relayed this to a staff member who seemed concerned/interested, and who said he would follow it up.

We stayed in an adjoining room with the inside access door to the adjacent room. There were lots of noises even when people in the that room were talking. It was hard to sleep during as they were talking and watching TV till late. Other than that everything else was great and very clean room.

We stayed at this property as a couple for an extended weekend to visit the Barossa. As it was mid range in price for the amenities and the photos looked good, we gave it a try. The service was good and the room was good, comfy bed. The only let down was that the walls were so thin that we could easily hear people coughing and talking in the next room. It’s also missing somewhere to sit outside, which would have been nice to be able to enjoy a glass of wine we purchased during our visits to local wineries. Overall though it is very comfortable and clean.

Excellent location. Wonderful room with the all amenities needed, good aircon, fine WiFi, nice bathroom (alting missing a handheld shower head). Please note that the room is not very soundproof – on our first night, we had no one living nearby, but in the second night we could hear a lot from the room upstairs. Extremely friendly staff. We rented bikes which was super easy and fair priced.

Great location and the property has been renovated and its great. Only downside was the breakfast. It felt like it was understaffed and there was only 1 lady looking after the whole dining area and it long a very long time to be served etc. In fact over an hour. So that's the only area I'd look at improving. Rest of the property is excellent 👌.

The Barossa Weintal Hotel was such a fantastic hotel. The staff were welcoming and the room was lovely. The restaurant was convenient and the food was really good. I will definitely stay again.

My partner and i stayed here mid week and it was lovely and quiet. The hotel is in a convenient location is Tanunda. The room itself was lovely and clean with great air-conditioning on a super hot trip.

Great hotel with nice a la carte breakfast options. About a 20 min walk to pretty much all the shops, restaurants, bars etc. in Tanunda. Rooms are quite modern and comfortable. A short drive to a lot of very nice wineries.

Excellent room with generous extras, a small bottle of wine, crisps, Kit Kats plus the usual amenities. We ate at the restaurant the first night, the meals were huge! A quiet & very comfortable stay.

Beautiful luxurious room, fantastic position, comfortable bed. Table service breakfast to order served by friendly staff and Angus restaurant was very enjoyable for dinner. Extremely happy all round with our short stay. Laundry facilities extra bonus during our trip from Qld.

Great location and the property has been renovated and its great. Only downside was the breakfast. It felt like it was understaffed and there was only 1 lady looking after the whole dining area and it long a very long time to be served etc. In fact over an hour. So that's the only area I'd look at improving. Rest of the property is excellent 👌.

Very poor communications. We received an email to advise reception closed at 4pm on a Sunday. We arrived prior to find it unattended, with a an after hours number to call. The number went un-answered for a long time (with frequent msg's apologising due to the high number of calls)...yeah right.... a Sunday afternoon in Tanunda could not be any more sleepy. Room was then navigated OK, but was told everything else in the hotel on Sunday was not open.. bar, restaurant etc.. (make that Monday as well) The hotel itself seemed great, and would definitely visit again, but next time later in the week.

Ideal location for an event we were attending. The rooms have been upgraded since the last time I stayed. Makes a difference. Bar closed before 10pm on the Saturday which disappointed several of us returning from the event. I did have a gripe - the floor was only clean in the areas you could see. Behind the curtains and under the bed could’ve done with some attention.
