It is the shore. You get what you get. Bland places With bland rooms, plastic covered mattresses, early checkout times. The owner was quite pleasant. Beach passes and parking included. The price was fair.

I never even got out of my car because of what I saw once I pulled up outside. I knew I would be charged anyway but no way could I stay there with my kids. I have never in my life seen anything like this shole. I knew immediately by the look of the place it would be a disaster. Thank god we found a fabulous B&B a block from the beach and boardwalk. Expedia has totally mislead people into thinking this place is a family friendly motel. It is actually the most run down motel in the area and the pool is about as big as a bathtub. It was our first time visiting the shore and there are so many lovely motels and hotels. This place should just be torn down and rebuilt.

The check in process was good. Parking was convenient. The room was basically clean. The shower curtain liner was covered in mold.

My stay at Bay Breeze Motel was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at any motel. When I arrived, I was promised parking on the property, but there were no spots available. After finally finding a place to park nearby, the owner assured me that I was safe with the parking pass displayed in my rearview mirror. However, the next morning, I woke up to a parking ticket because I wasn\'t in the correct spot. When I brought this to the owner\'s attention, he simply said, "This is your fault," and refused to help. The room itself was in terrible shape. It was dirty when we arrived, and the bathroom was no better—grimy surfaces, unclean fixtures, and an overall lack of care in maintaining basic hygiene standards. To top it off, the Wi-Fi was nowhere to be found, despite the front desk staff assuring me that it was available. When I tried to address all these issues with the person at the desk, they were completely unaccommodating and dismissive. I strongly advise against staying at Bay Breeze Motel. Between the lack of parking, the unhelpful staff, and the poor room conditions, it’s just not worth it.

I understand why they make you pay in full before your stay, it’s so you can’t get your money back!! Upon arrival there was very little parking or room to fit our vehicle in some spots. Walking into the office we were greeted by friendly owner and head of ‘cleaning’ lady. I signed some kind of paper work and we were assigned our room, when saying the room# out-loud the cleaning woman said she had just finished cleaning the room and that we are all set. We were given a room on the 3rd, I can only assume that was because there were people living on the other floors. As soon as we opened the door to our room we were blasted with the strong smell of Fabuloso cleaner. There was no airing out the room with the one window and door open it was so strong. We turned the AC unit on and it pumped out nothing but cigarette smoke, like an astray was just cooling the room. The cleaners used so much of that cheap cleaner the floor was slimy. Everything we touched was slimy. As if they hadn’t watered down the cleaner and definitely used one rag to clean everything! We said to ourselves that it would be fine after it aired out but by the time we came back after dinner a show around 11:30pm it was just as worse as when we first arrived! We stayed the night but by morning we were still so grossed out and the cleaner smell was too much to take anymore. We turned in our key and expressed that we won’t stay here again. We found something cleaner and cheaper one block from the boardwalk.

The clerk let me park my car there before check in. That was nice. The air conditioner and tv were difficult to work and housekeeping came and showed me how to use them.

Bay Breeze is a bit of an older hotel and rooms don’t have every convenience, like a coffeemaker or hair dryer or tons of outlets. But what it does have is more important to me. It was spotlessly clean. A wood floor instead of those gross rugs. A shower with great pressure and super hot water. A lovely staff. The pool was very small but every clean and not crowded. The one issue I had was there was no ice machine. Having just returned from a walk we didn’t feel like going back out. Ten minutes later the manager was knocking on my door, bag of ice in hand. That’s the kind of place this is. It was clean, quiet and safe. Big tv, comfy beds and walkable to beach and boardwalk. Definitely recommend!

Pluses: Has a small kiddies pool. No lifeguard required. Minuses: Room is not cleanly or sanitized. No staff for room service Low quality bathtowels.

Great place to stay if you like the cops being called almost every day/night by management for what appeared to be transient people staying at the motel. Tried asking cleaning crew for new towels and they said I had to ask owner/manager or they would be yelled at. I won’t even get into the run down condition of the property and fixtures. The only thing we didn’t notice was a lady of the evening working out of one of the rooms. The kids enjoyed the pool.

The floor was filthy. My feet turned black after walking across the floor.

The internet was so slow, it took on average 15 minutes to get an adequate signal to even view emails and only if you sat outside the room. We were never able to get a strong enough signal to actually send any emails. They supplied only one of the world's smallest bars of soap and only one bath towel for two people. We stayed two nights and the maid brought a second towel the second day but cleaned nothing; didn't make the beds, didn't empty the trash. The TV worked in a spotty fashion. In order to get any hot water, you had to turn on the shower full blast for 10 minutes before the hot water came up. The proprietor was very nice and came to try to fix things when we asked but wasn't particularly effective. The beds were moderately comfortable and the room upon check-in was tolerably clean.

Floors were very dirty. White socks were black from walking on them. cigarette burns on the sink, dirty towels Location was good.

It was dark dingy and there was no hot water, which they told us that when we checked in that we had to run the water for a while!!! there was also no water pressure. We stayed for 15 minutes and then left. What a waste of $300.00. We would not sleep there the bed spread looked dirty. the overall feeling of this place was not good.

This is seriously the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed at. We had to buy paper towels to clean ALL THE HAIR AND PUBIC HAIR off of the floor. I feel scarred for life. I cannot even begin to describe how bad this place smells and how gross it is. I want my money back. Cost $250. Seriously considering sleeping in my car. If anyone has a reservation there, see if you can cancel. Expedia really needs to consider not including this hotel. The noise at night sounded like crackheads fighting. We had to call the front desk multiple times, because we could not sleep, due to the noise. Really false description on Expedia.

This is like staying in a 1 star motel at a premium price. At check in they require to hand write credit card number, expiration, and CVV on paper work, this is not legal or necessary. Room is dirty, towels are what I use at home as rags, worlds tiniest prison soap, entire mattress is wrapped in plastic (thankfully blocking stuff) but one move on it sounds like a diaper, pillows non existent, AC works but not sure about air quality, strange permanent residents living at motel. The whole situation there needs to be overhauled or these negative reviews will continue.

Overall stay was great. They let us check in three hours early! When we got back to the room at night the smoke detector battery was dying so it was beeping and they sent someone up in less than five minutes to fix it. The room was pretty small but overall good.

I don’t ever like to say anything negative, but… no lighting, filthy floors and bathroom, smelled like smoke, other guest (I think living there) were up all hours keeping us awake, a/c leaked all over the floor, beds were broken and sunk in the middle, and key barely worked to open the door. We only stayed two days. Will never go back. Seaside Park has much nicer motels and hotels!

Great place- nice and quiet

This motel is a dump. It is gross, unclean, and unsafe. They told us at the front desk to not be alarmed by the frequent police presence. The a/c didn’t work, Wi-Fi didn’t work, there was hair everywhere, orange peels and dental floss in the garbage, and toilet paper in the shower drain/floor. We asked for a refund. They instead gave us a second filthy room. We again asked for a refund and they refused. We left for our own safety.

it was super close to the beach but the beds were very uncomfortable, the view was nice and overall everything was good. only two things is bring your own pillows because the ones here are literally cardboard or flat 😭

Staff was great. The tv remote didn’t have batteries. I told Happy at the front desk and he sent the very nice housekeeper up within minutes with the remote and fresh batteries. I only stayed one night, but it was a good stay.

Staff was extremely helpful especially when I put in for wrong weekend. Place was very clean. Off season so area very quiet. Short walk to the beach.

The manager was responsive, and obviously cares about his motel and it’s guests. Great value

This was an absolute scam. Nothing else to say about it. The man at the front desk attempted to charge me $50 extra PER PERSON, and refused a refund. I purchased a room for 4 people. He attempted to charge me 50 extra for everyone other than myself. We didn’t check in, submitted a police report, and went to a different location. You should not allow anyone else to fall victim to this guy.

Overall I would recommend this hotel. I would recommend bringing your own pillows and towels. The management is very friendly and accommodating.

I would like to thank to the manager Mike, very honest and friendly guy, all our request were met without any issues. We will com back to this hotel again.

Owner was rude, unprofessional and kicked us out before the end of the stay. We booked the room for 2 people and had 4 people in the room visiting for 10 minutes when he came in the room and said we had to leave.

Canceled my reservation at the site. Manager was very rude. Hotel was dirty and smelly. HeThen charged my card anyway. Leaving me cash short for my stay at another hotel.

DO. NOT. STAY. HERE. SCAM!! Just save yourself the trouble. Not only are the rooms disgusting moldy and dirty, the owner is a COMPLETE psychopath. I’m still completely baffled by the situation. From the moment we stepped onto the property we were met with aggression and a disgustingly rude attitude from the owner. But it was 4th of July so we didn’t want it to get to us. We added an additional person to the room which we paid for. A family member stopped by our car to drop money off, and immediately the owner runs out YELLING at them that they can not be there and need to go. I understand that there’s a no visitors policy, they were not visiting !!! They didn’t even step foot in the room. Literally just in the parking lot for less than 2 minutes. At this point we haven’t even been at the hotel an hour, I come and try to explain that they are not visitors, just dropping something off and they’re leaving. Owner immediately goes NOPE he’s calling the police on us to evict us!!! WHAT? At this point we can’t even believe the reaction of this guy. So the police show up, we explain the situation to them, and they go “oh yea we deal with this guy all the time we’re always here to evict people for him for no reason” are you serious?? And you keep letting him?? We just grabbed our things and left and fortunately a nicer motel down the road was able to book us last minute. So basically DO NOT stay here unless you want the cops called on you for no reason and want your trip ruined! SCAM!

It was satisfactory for my needs for the location and the time where other hotels are much more expensive. The only thing I was concerned was the doors to go in and out they have the traditional turn key lock in the bottom the doors doesn’t slam shut unless you make sure the it’s locked from the inside. And you have to make sure when you leave the door is locked. If you loose your key there is 25$ charge.

If you’re looking for an affordable stay at the shore, this place was not bad. It was a short walk to the boardwalk and many stores are near. This property is a place to stay while you are at the shore. We would go back.

The place isn't exactly the ritz, but neither is any of the hotels in seaside heights. Good quiet location just a couple blocks away from the boardwalk. Close to everything and is walkable. For an older property it was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
