Hammock Inn & Suites North Beach Hotel

Rooms could use some touching up, like a lot. But I’ve stayed at worst, was comfy and cozy if on a budget and pet friendly. (With fee ofc) unless service animal. Parking isn’t terrible if you know how to park in tight spaces, or in general. Pool was accessible although I didn’t go in I spent my mornings there as it was quiet and area in and area pool was very clean surprisingly.

The staff person Mo was the only good thing about the entire stay. He was extremely nice and helpful and did his best to make everything comfortable Otherwise, the property is in terrible condition. It needs a thorough cleaning and repairs. Broken door knobs. Mold in the shower. broken toilet seat. Broken microwave handle. filthy filthy this place hasn’t been swept or mopped in probably months. It was absolutely filthy. I had to clean myself. There is no housekeeping service There are no amenities here at all. The ice machine is broken.

This is a cute little place a block from the boardwalk, the front desk staff were AMAZING. The nicest guys you will ever meet. Sure, the rooms are pretty basic and the property could use some updates but we had a wonderful stay and really appreciated the customer service accommodations. We had the pool to ourselves the day we checked out and would definitely come back!

Parking was very convenient. Stars was really friendly and helpful. When i first pulled in and saw the pool I was not happy. However, the pool was actually very nice. Very clean, very comfortable. My kids loved it. Of course it's a motel pool and the beach is the main attraction but it was not bad at all.

Definitely did not meet our expectations for the price we paid , the place was unclean and security was non existent, the walls were as thin as cardboard and we could hear the people in the room across the hall , the beds were unacceptable, not even a box spring or skirt , just a metal frame, the tv did not work, the ceiling had holes in it, they charged me $100 security deposit, we are clearly middle aged, not 21 , parking was non existent, had to pay for street parking, $75 a night maybe, $200 definitely not .

Not a 5-Star Hotel, But We Made the Best of It! The hotel is in a great location — close to the beach, boardwalk, and plenty of things to do. However, the property itself needs a lot of TLC. The rooms are dated, and the pictures online were definitely deceiving. Beds were full-sized cots with old spring mattresses, and overall, the rooms didn’t live up to the price we paid. Housekeeping was basically nonexistent. Our room wasn’t cleaned once during our stay, and this was the same for the three other families we traveled with. That said, they did empty our trash daily when we left it outside our door, and it wasn’t a big issue for us since we didn’t spend much time in the rooms anyway. The pool area was the highlight! We loved it — it had a relaxed, homey vibe. We cleaned off the grill and had a cookout with burgers and hot dogs while the kids played in the pool. It really felt like a backyard party, which made the stay much more enjoyable. Parking is limited — only 14 spots for 21 rooms — so it’s first come, first serve. Luckily, we walked everywhere and didn’t need to worry about it, but it could definitely be an issue for others. The front desk staff was very attentive and friendly, which we really appreciated. All in all, we had a good time because we made the best of it, but for the price they’re charging, we expected much more. This place has a lot of potential if they invest in some upgrades and maintenance.

The room was completely not as advertised! Bedding was dirty, bathroom dirty, doors to outside did not have locks or door knobs so anyone in the street could walk in! I would not recommend this place at all!

Great location near the boardwalk only a couple blocks away restaurant and bars located around the place. Pool was clean.

The sofa bed smelled and wasnt comfy. They need to put a single bed in that spot. The ceiling leaked in the morning when someone was showering above us. The pool was nice and room was decent. Wish there was someone there at the front desk that morning. The hallways smelled clean. Ice machine not working.

No overnight parking (anywhere at the property or town). No sense of security. Door into the building right off the street didn’t lock. And door to the room was poorly fit making it seem as if someone could see into the room. Barest of essentials in the room. Not worth the money. My daughter didn’t feel safe. We left without actually staying the night.

Room was very small. Wasent the cleanest. Our light stopped working and they had to come to fix it. The sink in the bathroom started leaking. Towels and sheets was stained.

We didn’t even stay where we booked cause they said it was under construction and I had to stay at their other spot which was Aire hotel beach north. It was horrible. The room was filthy, their was mold on shower curtain, in shower, and in the small refrigerator. The floors were filthy and their were hand prints on the headboard. Nothing about this place was clean or acceptable.

This property was terrible. Mold in the rooms set off my asthma. Tube was sandy (so not cleaned before we arrived). Bedcover threadbare. Barely repaired holes in hallway walls. The door jam to my room showed clear evidence that it had been broken into multiple time. Caulking to seal bathroom fixtures looked like raccoon had performed the work. Broken and unusable patio furniture. No lock on door to the outside. I have pictures supporting all of these claims. DO NOT stay at this property. The pictures are truly misleading. You are getting hostel (or tenement) accommodations for the price of a mintier hotel. Had to leave after one night. Reception immediately said "no problem. We will refund your card within three business days." It's now 3 weeks later and nothing. Cannot call this business because no one ever picks up the phone. If I could rate this property 0 stars, I would.

Not clean

The room was good but they have poor cleaning, the bathtub was dirty full of hair and there were some things left that previous guests had used

There was mold in the room, my door needed to be slammed just to shut properly.. I found a dirty diaper in a drawer when I first got into my room. Shower pressure was awful, and that’s one of the main things you get a hotel room, lol.. ceiling tiles stained which probably means there’s more mold in there. I got real sick after my stay, probably due to my allergy to mold. Really sucks. I also asked for an extra towel and wash cloth and had to ask 5 times for it before I would get anything. They also don’t answer the phone after 7, so pray you don’t have any emergencies.

False advertisement of the pictures and filthy!!!

The property was not what was advertised to start with. When we arrived we waited in the front office for over an hour for the manager to come back to let us check in, when we arrived to our room we were immediately upset by the mess that was left in it. The only thing nice was that the bed was made and there was a mini fridge and microwave however both appliances were filthy, the bed was made with the most uncomfortable cheap sheets and thin blanket, the bathroom was the worst... Trash on the floor, no plunger, toilet was clogged with feces in it, the shower was slimy and filthy, mold everywhere, and the main room where you sleep had dead bugs on the floor. The room looked like someone barely cleaned in between stays. We are highly disappointed with the service as well. Right away we tried to contact the manager so was decent at the time but only brought us a plunger to use, didn't do it for us, and said nothing about the room which he took saw what we saw.. he never apologized for making us wait another hour for the plunger, he just left. We sat outside on the patio furniture while waiting for the manager. Eventually we ended up staying as most places to stay at in the area were booked, but the manager would not offer any compensation or accomodations. We will NOT be back. The best thing about the property is location, right on the beach and the boardwalk is about a 5 min walk.. we also like sitting outside and enjoying the nice weather however the steps are horrible!

It would be really good if they stopped misleading people with false advertising. This place is horrible and it made me feel extremely embarrassed in front of my family. They didn’t even bother to change the bed sheets. Luckily, we were coming from another place and had clean bedding in our car. I don’t think they’ve ever cleaned under the beds—there were French fries thrown in the corners of the room, full of ants! Please don’t stay at this lodging, it’s not worth it, not even for $20 a night.

Very run down. bathroom and shower very small. Door to room had a gap that you could see into the room from hall. Greatfull that only stayed one night. You get what you pay for. Wouldn't recommend.

Our stay started with our room being super tiny and not looking like the pictures we saw when booking. The AC did not work at all the first night. The second night and after it was "on" but not once the entire weekend did our room get cold and it should have with how small the room was. The room was muggy and sticky the whole time. We were given one towel for two people. Our pillows sucked and were really flat, the bed wasn't comfortable. Our last night at 2am we were sleeping and were woken up by someone keying into our room, luckily we had the chain lock on the door done, otherwise they could have gotten in our room. This is scary to think about if the chain wasn't over the door or if we didn't wake up, not to mention if this happened when we weren't even in the room. We told the staff about this and they did nothing besides say"well that's not suppose to happen." I definitely would no recommend staying here. The only good thing was how close it was tp the boardwalk.

This room would be fine if you are a bunch of guys coming to party at the shore. For a family? Not so much. The room felt like a prison cell. Bare walls, no furniture, just 3 uncomfortable beds, no hangers in the closet, no pictures on the walls, no curtains, etc. One bed was dirty. Overall, it was horribly uncomfortable. There was no where to sit. No table lamps, no bedside tables, there weren’t enough towels, soap or toilet paper. The photos on Expedia are completely misleading. This is not a good space for a family.

The beds aren't very comfy (thin mattress on a basic frame) There was a mini fridge but it's difficult to access it since it's in the corner behind the bed so we didn't use it. Parking lot is small and we were afraid to drive anywhere and risk losing our spot as every single spot was taken most of the time. The pool is small but decent with a gas grill, picnic tables and a few lounge chairs. The location is the best thing going for this place since you are close to the boardwalk and the BBQ restaurant across the street was delicious!

The location is perfect but the room was very small, the sink barely had water pressure, the toilet moved. The bed was hard and there was a draft from the window which made the room very cold even with heat on. The room was right by the window and very thin walls, you hear everything. I would not come back. It was very uncomfortable. The small pool was nice and customer service was good. It was just a terrible sleeping experience

Very cheap look and feel of whole room.Owner was extremely nice and accomdating, but i was just very disappointed in the room, because it definitely looked nothing like the pictures.

Manager had a terrible attitude and threatened several times to call the police when I had asked for a refund due to the room being filthy and not at all close to the pictures of what I booked online.

When we arrived at the hotel we were sent to the incorrect address and also was provided with a phone number that didnt end up being an active land-line. It took us over an HOUR to finally figure out how to check in and where the correct location was located. I would never stay at this hotel again. The showers are absolutely disgusting, the room bed sheets smelled like cigarettes this was such a miserable and disappointing experience. Never again will i be booking with this hotel again and frankly i am shocked that Hotels.com even promoted this to be something to reserve.

Do not even waste your time here go ANYWHERE ELSE and get a room you’ll have a better stay. There was no one in the lobby when we arrived at 8 pm we waited over 30 minutes and called the phone number provided on a piece of paper multiple times until we decided to go rent a room elsewhere because it was sketchy around 1 am the hotel starts calling going crazy saying we never showed up when we did we called multiple times and left many messages on there phone poor customer service was charged for 2 nights when we only stayed one because of THEIR mess up HORRIBLE PLACE!!!!! Also the room looks nothing like the pictures do not waste your time go anywhere else there are many more options the hotel also had like 4 different names displayed on the hotel

What a stay! Staff was helpful and accommodating. We were able to bring our fur companion and had the space to truly feel at home, away from home. We had everything we needed. We’ll be back!

Nobody was there door was locked there was a phone number to call an wait for someone to show up and this is what everyone had to do all the time smh call for someone to show up for anything.we stayed 3 nights 4 days never got fresh towels clean are room we had to take out are trash an buy toilet paper !! Worst place i every stayed my family was not happy!!

I'll begin by stating that while the location of our stay was extremely convenient and very walkable from the boardwalk, that's where the pleasures end. Everything was either old or semi-broken; it hadn't been upgraded or invested in since it was opened

It was our first time bringing our kids to seaside and this hotel was the worst. The pictures didn’t match the actual room we booked. Was more of a motel feel, the hot water was nonexistent, only 1 tv in what should have been a living room but they put a 3rd bed. Ceiling tiles were popping down, you could see light through the main door, had to get my own toilet paper from an employee only door since there was no one in the main office. The ONLY nice thing was how close it was to the boardwalk. We will NEVER stay here again

The first place which is listed here we couldn’t stay in the room it had a real musty like smell it bothered my daughters asthma plus there were towels on the floor not sure if the room was clean but we were two hours early perhaps the room wasn’t finished yet. I went and spoke to the gentleman at the office he went above and beyond and found us a room at another location it was wonderful he was so helpful the place we got put in was so clean and right on the board walk the staff there was also super friendly and gave us 10 percent off at the food place on the corner which was delicious. The place we ended up staying in was Sand and surf inn north beach

We had a great time here, the 2 bedroom suite was spacious for our large family, and the kids loved the pool! The owner was really kind and helpful. We loved having the restaurant right across the street, really convenient! I highly recommend this property if staying in Seaside!
