We "found" this Marriott in February of 2023 and were blown away- as skiers having a Marriott so close to a great ski resort was a total score! This trip we were left a bit disappointed. There was some confusion during check in as to whether I had paid in advance (scheduled through Orbitz). We also had a discrepancy on where our room was located and the manager was unreachable. It felt strange that on a busy holiday weekend there was only one staff member in the entire building! The pool, a main attraction, was broken and unable to be used- again, during a holiday weekend! We love the area & proximity to the highway, but will definitely look elsewhere for our next trip.

Easy check-in and check-out. Convenient location near family members who live in the area. Comfortable, well-appointed room; huge closet; love, love, love the full size refrigerator! Indoor pool; nice music playing in pool area; tiles could use a scrubbing. Good breakfast options. Kudos to the woman who prepared, replenished and monitored the breakfast area; she was pleasant and was there working every day of our six-day stay; hoping people tip her, as well as housekeeping, because she deserves it. Wish housekeeping hadn't tossed a partially-used bar of soap and what was left on the TP roll; seemed a little wasteful. Wherever we stay, we always hang towels to dry and re-use, but it seems they are changed anyway; housekeeping is every other day, which is sufficient. Tub was a little slippery; there is a grab bar, but it doesn't seem to me to be in the best location within the tub area. Pretty quiet in the hotel, considering how many cars were in the parking lot (figured it would be busy and noisy, but it wasn't). We have stayed here before and will definitely be back.

Great location close to Gunstock during a snowstorm…sadly, my rating is low mainly because the heat failed to work in our room. Unit was blowing cold air and the room temp would only climb when we turned the thermostat off (we were on the top floor). Winter travel with kids shouldn’t include challenges like these…We were offered another room (almost reluctantly) by the front desk staff (but my youngest was already tucked in bed. It was surprising that a newer building in otherwise well maintained condition had HVAC issues. The indoor pool was snack-size and very cold (didn’t feel like the heat was blowing in that room either). 2 families in the pool made it feel a little too busy for a hang. Breakfast on the way out was nice to have and the waffles were like candy! Friendly staff were helping with clearing snow off of cars and shoveling. Definitely plan to come back, and will be more vigilant when checking in to confirm temp control is in working order.

Front desk staff on check in was exceptional. Easy on and off the highway to get to the lake. The room was spotless. The breakfast service was disappointing. Both days the coffee was either empty or cold. I grew up working in restaurants- plentiful hot coffee is a basic. I ended up going over to the big Apple Store to get coffee and we all know that gas station coffee just doesn’t cut it.

Initially I had no problem falling asleep. Woke up at 1am and had much difficulty getting back to sleep because of the dueling banjo effect of the compressor in the refrigerator and then the compressor in the heating system under the window. I shut both off and then resumed my sleep cycle for a couple more hours before my alarm setting at 4:30am.

Completed on-line early check-in, but the clerk at the hotel asked me all of the same questions as the on-line check-in, so why should anyone bother to do the on-line early check-in? Also, there are zero charging ports in the room. I would think that a modern hotel room would have at least two charging ports somewhere, especially on or near the work desk. Lots of outlets, but no charging ports. Also, the grab bar in the bathroom is useless because it is in the wrong place. And the bathtub is slippery and does not drain completely, even after 24 hours since use.

They didn't put us in the right room type and we had a large party, the rooms they gave us made it very difficult for us all to be in. When I called the front desk, they were unhelpful. The property clearly over sold and bumped us and instead of offering anything or trying to help us they just said sorry we are sold out there is nothing we can do. I have never had a hotel not give me the rooms I booked and then be rude about them making a mistake

The front desk staff very pleasant and checking in/outt was easy. The free breakfast buffet was great-(omelettes, French toast, bacon. bagels, fruit, etc. Nice having a kitchen and full size refrigertaor in the room. The beds were very comfortable. I recommend.
