Breakfast was a little tricky for westerners and it was tough to communicate with staff. This was my only issue with the hotel. We had a wonderful 4 nights stay. The room which we had booked has an obstructed view of Gulangyu. Our package also comes with free flow of drinks and refreshments in the Executive Lounge for 3 times a day. We will definitely choose this hotel again in future.

This is my 4th stay at this hotel, for 4 nights this time. Everything is excellent to me. Buffet breakfast has so many varieties that’s I can taste different food every day. The swimming pool is the best among all other hotels that I travelled in the past. Rooms are big, beds are comfy. I’m travelling in a group of nine and all of us are very happy and satisfied. The Chinese restaurant offers local delicious food as well. We will definitely stay here again when I travel to Xiamen.

我們一行人共9位，已事前兩週，告知請安排盡量同樓層的房間。還是分成9樓10樓跟12樓團裡有老有小非常不方便。且已告知全禁菸房，但是安排入住的901還是有很重的煙味，換到932房房間霉味很重。每一次開門就是很濃的霉味加排水孔的臭味。只是從煙味房換到霉味房。服務員的態度都很親切。唯獨房間狀況不是很好，然而換到932的海景房往外看的玻璃超級髒，卡了一層厚厚的灰塵，也看不了什麼風景。算了忍了三天就退房了。

I found my room was not serviced at all when I came back from outside and towers were not replaced. When I complained and asked why. They said I put “do not disturb” . I was shocked because I did not do so unless that was default? They did not even check ? It makes no sense for me to receive no service.

Enjoyed our stay with Swiss grand hotel Xiamen. We booked 2 rooms. Clean and no smoke smell for non smoking room. Crystal was able to accommodate our request for late check out till 1pm. Will stay here again

Impressed and touched by every staff at reception during our 7 nights stay. Especially Ms Ellen. Due to repair works taking place on or below the 15th floor we stayed, our room was upgraded to 26th floor. Ms Ellen ran extra miles when I asked for information on an unheard of village some 200km away. She made calls, location search and how to get around and about. Amazingly I found my long lost relatives. Thank you very much again Ellen. Compliments too to 26th floor staff. Vicky surprised us with a mini birthday cake. 2 young ladies greeted us with moon cakes. Room cleaning lady showed concern when I fell sick on my last 3 days stay. She brought a bowl of hot porridge to sooth my stomach before taking medication. Upon check out, Ms Lora ensured all are in order for our departure.

The room is very comfortable especially the bed and blanket. The hotel location is good. It is between the metro station and Zhongshan Street. Heping Wharf is only 400m from hotel. The gym is very big. The only thing that need to improve is the buffet lunch quality. They have many many variety of food but only a few items are nice.

Everything was fine except for the breakfast. Now the hotel is using artificial factory made bacon. Who knows what the meat was from? Was really disappointed. That's the only reason I pay the extra money to stay at the Swiss Grand. Moreover, the capacinno coffee was very watery. Will not be staying again.
