This hotel needs better housekeepers and new tubs. The tub was dirty, i passed my hand on the side and it was crusty. The side of the tub had cigarette burns as well as stains all over it. The mattress was so hard i didnt sleep more than 3 hours. I woke up sore. The pool wasnt functional and it is almost summer with 90 degree weather. Very disappointed

The room was nice, clean (except for the floors). Toilet was constantly clogging even though I was out all day long. complained first night and they told me there was no other room available so I had basically no toilet to use. Next morning I went to get the plunger cause the desk said I had to clear it. There was a very nice employee who came and cleared the toilet for me. I gave him a tip for being so nice. Toilet was fine until around 10 pm. Called desk again and a guy said he'd bring up the plunger for me. I told him I'm keeping this overnight cause I have to leave early in the morning and I'm not going to deal with this issue. I cleared toilet that night and again the next morning. It was find for the next 2 days until the morning I was checking out it was clogged again. I had to hurry up and check out early so I could go to a Dunkin or some other place to get coffee and use their bathroom. This was basically my one main complaint. The main lobby was also difficult to find at first (I arrived when it was dark), because they had a huge tarp with stuff underneath right in the middle where the cars would pull up to check in. I mentioned it to the woman at the desk and she said the Inn was under some construction. I just feel this tarp and stuff should have been put elsewhere.

Except the key not working each and every day it's a nice place with a nice little pool in the center of the property. The only problem is some cheesy people hanging out in the parking lot in cars that are 20 years old. One drunk girl stumbled out of her car with a flat tire. To be safe park in front by the street and office. Don't park in the middle on either side.

I had stayed at this property for a month just as the pandemic was winding down, and it was not a pleasant experience. HOWEVER, the transformation in the overall feel of the place has improved dramatically. Everything felt better, it felt safer, cleaner, more modern. The bed was comfortable, the bedding was very nice, and everything in the room was in proper working order. The exterior, the pool, the parking lot, all looked well maintained. I definitely felt like the management “cared” about the product they were offering, as it should be. Before, it was as if they could’ve cared less. I will definitely be back, and I would recommend that everyone consider Red Roof Inn on their next visit to St. Pete.

Tarp over the front entrance, hookers and drag zombies walking around entire property. A real dump , Expedia will not refund me due ti feeling unsafe to stay there . Will never book a Red Roof again and will never use Expedia again.

If u could upload photos, I would. Sheets stained with obvious bodily fluids and hair, wrong sheets on it. Mold in the bathroom. Dirt, bugs, unknown substances all over. I had to wait to check in until Celeste was done making her hair appointment. I walked in the room and within 5 minutes returned my key and left.

From the moment I arrived, everything was a disaster. I had to wait over two hours just to check in. I signed for one room but was given a different one, and they kept the wrong room on my record, which caused even more confusion. The property was dirty, smelled terrible, and was clearly not well maintained. The room was not properly cleaned, there was no blanket provided, and the overall atmosphere was very uncomfortable. The front desk staff seemed overwhelmed and didn’t know whether to deal with drug-related issues or the problematic tenants. I never felt safe or properly cared for during my stay. Let's get right to the point - this is a BUDGET Hotel. The room definitely looked and felt lower end. But what do you want.....Cheap price (check)....Comfortable Bed (check)....decent shower (check)...coffee (check) other than that.... the shower/tub was rusty and seemed dirty and the rooms were dated. But I got a great night sleep, had a great shower and the linens and towels were clean and "soft". Well worth the price I paid for a good nights sleep. Just check your expectations. The pool are actually seemed nice as well.

Overall, was good, except no frig in room or microwave due to Queen Bed room, when I booked it mention difference in price of rooms, must not have paid attention to the detales, but there were no King rooms available when booked or at desk, so we took it, but the bed had very bad springs, made a terrible noise under entire bed with any movement, sounded like springs were metal and only thing holding bed up.

My ex went in the lobby and asked for the key to get in my room.Employee didn’t ask him for ID or anything.He could’ve came to kill me Domestic Violence is not a joke.The employee just gave him the key.I went to the office and asked why did he do that all he said was sorry..NOT GOOD EMPLOYEES NEED TRAINING.Because what’s the point in giving ID to check in if anyone can come in and say a name without having to show ID..Not SAFE!!

The staff at red roof have always been professional.I prepay and book online, walk in sign .The quickest check in i've ever had.... i do stay at this hotel frequently.And even when there has been a problem and I've had to change my book in.Everybody has been helpful

Upon check in, I wasn’t greeted and the young girl that checked me in had a horrible attitude. She acted as if she didn’t want to be there and that she hated her job so that through my mood off immediately. However, the room was decent, bed was kind of squeaky, water barely came out the shower at first but eventually got better. Bed was comfy, it was okay for the price. Had a better experience during check out.

The stay was less than stellar, our keys had to be reprogrammed every day. I rented a room close to a venue I was working at for 3 days that was an evening gig that went until 3am every day. Service Team knocked on the door at 2pm on the first day to clear a clog on the AC that was leaking in the room below us. Which was fine, but they apparently didn't complete the task as at 8am the next morning they returned to the room knocking and waking the room, I explained that everyone was asleep and asked they return later to which they agreed. 15 minutes later the Manager knocked and told us that wouldn't work and they needed in now. We asked that we be give 30 minutes for everyone to wake up and get dressed before they came in and he agreed. 3 hours later they still hadn't returned to the room to complete the work they apparently needed to do NOW per the Manager. This was super inconvenient for my entire team that had to report to work the event that evening on less than four hours of sleep. The Manager never apologized or offered to move our room. All of which I found unprofessional, and extremely rude.

We had to switch rooms first thing since the toilet was clogged and they didn’t have a plunger available. We had to go to the front every day to get the keys to be reprogrammed to be able to go back into our room. The best part of the stay there was leaving.

Overbooked and the system is outdated. I booked & paid for 2 nights. When we got there, the room was occupied by someone else and the staff has no clue about it because the system is not updated . We got there around 11:30 pm. Checked in and were trying to get into the room, but no luck - the keys did not work at all. My husband brought the keys to the receptionist for help and came back with the re-keys, but still not working. While waiting for my husband to run back to the receptionist for the 2nd time, I heard people talking inside the room. By then, the receptionist realized that the room was taken by someone else then staff came and asked me to go back to the reception desk so he can try to find us another room. The system is outdated, there is no way for him to find out if there is a vacant room, he have to physically check one by one. Luckily, there is one left vacant. Staff gave us the keys to that last vacant room. We got there, but guess what - the keys won’t work. My husband run back to the receptionist again for 3rd time and came back but still unable to open the door. My poor husband had to go back there for the 4 th time and came back together with the receptionist with a different key. Finally, it works and we got into the room around 1 am the next day - so frustrated & exhausted. Our problem was not ended here. We got the same problem when we came back to the hotel the next day around 9:30pm, the key won’t work.

I never, never give this type of negative rating. But this was a pre-paid, no cancellation type of reservation. However, when I arrived, they checked me in, gave me a key and the room number. I went to my room and found that they had double booked to room. Someone else was already in the room. They were totally booked up. But they said that they had this other room and it was a "upgrade." There was nothing "upgraded" about it. It was awful and I don\'t think that it was meant to be rented out. I would never recommend this hotel again. And Hotels. com has a lot of the blame for this also.

Arrived to find security outside. At first thought that’s nice until we realized the area around the hotel must be sketchy. Woke up to 5 sheriffs cars in parking lot. Squeaky metal bed frames, almost 0 water pressure and hotel obviously still looks like it hasn’t been renovated in 20 years.

I want to give them more stars, really, but there are some fixes needed. There are 'individuals' constantly walking/hanging around the property. The beds were VERY clean and super comfortable. Happy to report there are NO bugs. The bathroom was clean from eye level down, but very run down. The faucet in the bathtub was broken and it took some figuring out to get a warm enough shower from the weak showerhead. The ceiling in the bathroom had spots of black mold. And, the walls were patched and painted hastily, it could look nicer, but thats just appearance. The in-room coffee pot was broken, the little filter tray was the wrong size, and the packets of "fresh coffee" were all cut open, ironically defeating the "fresh" part. The door is off alignment, causing us to have to slam it when we closed it so it would latch. Tried to get a coffee by the front desk the first morning and it was empty, with people lined up at the desk, I didnt bother to wait around for a fresh pot. For the money, it was a clean hotel room for a good nights sleep. Cant do much about the neighborhood. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

It was dark. I am alone. I pulled into the hotel and there was hugh barrels under the cover so you could not pull into the door. You had to park and walk back. Then on looking in the lobby was empty and sterile looking. No one in sight. Then you had to be buzzed in to get entrance. Not a good thing. I pressed the buzzer. No one came. I was so creeped out I left. It felt like being in the hood. I will not be paying for this and Hotels should not endorse this place
