Group of friends, stayed for one night in February 2023. Felt like we had stayed for a week. There was so much to do. Tobogganing, skating, ice hockey, curling, ice fishing, outdoor fire pits, games room, ping pong, fosse ball, darts, connect 4, snow shoeing and cross country skiing. Food on-site was great. Fun entertainment too. Friendly staff. They think of everything to make it a great memory.

Loved our weekend getaway Stayed for 2 nights and booked Chalet It had 3 spacious rooms with 2 bathrooms Loved the bonfire outside our chalets Beautiful property with lots of fun activities (boating, kayaking, cycling etc) Highly recommended for families and even for solo travellers 👍👍

Overall, the facility was good except for the bed comfort. The bed was not comfortable at all, and it was very hard to move around on it. It felt like there was still plastic on the mattress. We didn’t get a good rest. Everything else was perfect. The beach water was not very clean either—there was too much grass in the beach area.

The beachfront water was so full of seaweed my child almost drowned getting arms and legs entwined in the seaweed. No life guards on site. Indoor pool water looked murky. No cleaners or staff on site. Considering the money it cost to stay here I expected a higher quality resort and safer conditions.

The resort is very family friendly, with a variety of activities and a nice small beach. The resort is currently under construction and other areas need some TLC. When we entered our suite there was brown water coming out of the bathroom tap and the drains smelt. There are train tracks next to the property and freight trains blast their horns at all hours (we were worken up at 5am 2/3 days). As others have noted the food quality is poor and we were disappointed in what we received for the price. So a bit of a mixed bag, we had an okay weekend but won’t be back.

Overall quite pleased about the property. Our unit had 2 rooms with a nice patio overlooking the lake. The beach was narrow but wide and the lake bottom was firm sand and did have some weeds further out. There were canoes and kayaks and an outdoor pool. Inside pool in another building but was down stairs. We did have breakfast and dinner twice; which was a buffet. We did enjoy our short stay and would come back again.

The lake was beautiful however there was a lot of seaweed, there was ample chairs available to sit in the sand and the staff was amazing. Upon arrival the bathroom door did not shut and the screen on the back door was broken off and did not have a key. The beds were very uncomfortable and sank in. Was quite disappointed with the room considering how much money it cost per night.

Lovely property with beautiful views of the lake. The staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home. We enjoyed the food at Echoes and loved that they had a children's buffet. Only complains were that there were bits of dirt on washroom floor (not fun to step on with wet feet), and the water was brownish from the tap - may be a naturally occuring thing so I didn't bring it up. Otherwise, we would definitely return! It's a nice place to relax and unwind with the family. :)

My family decided to stay here for one night as we had read good reviews and wanted to see if it was a place we would visit in the future. The front desk staff came across as robotic and were not willing to go above or beyond for any guest. The bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good but overpriced and portions were very small. The room was clean but we did have to kill a few spiders in the lower corner cobwebs. We asked for bedding for the pullout for one of our kids and it took about a hour and although we were told they were at capacity the staff did not seem that busy which in that case I would have understood the long wait. The property was lovely and our kids would have enjoyed swimming but we went during the fall. Overall though we will not be going back.

We had a good weekend at Bayview Wildwood. Two adults, and two kids ages 8/10. The property is unique and beautifully situated along Sparrow Lake and the room was clean, updated and the beds were SUPER cozy. While we enjoyed our trip overall, we thought there were some simple things that would make big improvements to the overall experience. Sauna or a jacuzzi in the pool area (even consider outdoor sauna for extra winter fun!). I thought there was a jacuzzi but - there is not! Have the ice cleared early in the morning during the winter!!! (Two days in a row we spent a lot of time finding shovels, and clearing snow, so that we could skate. We thought it would take a staff person maybe 45 minutes to clear a huge area of the ice and that this should be done every morning in the winter for guests! This would have improved my experience big time!) Good coffee. I think usually the resort has a small shop that likes has coffee in its market - which is not opened during some of the winter (it was not open when we were there) but we would have loved somewhere on site to get a good coffee, an espresso. Or to get simple foods like a bagel with cream cheese, some fruit - things like this. Lastly, the lay out and system for the games room could be improved. The kids loved the fun zone room but the gym / games room could use some re thinking for better use and more comfort! Thanks for a good family weekend!

Overall we liked the resort, most people were very nice and friendly, and the kids activities and kids club were great. However there were few things that we didn’t like: 1. Rooms were very small. 2. Beds were very high and not safe for small kids. 3. Window frames were broken and flies could come inside. 4. Air conditioner was old and super loud, that we were unable to sleep. 5. The resort didn’t honour Expedia’s agreed accommodation price and overcharged us at checkout. The resort’s manager promised to sort it out but he never got back to us.

Group of friends, stayed for one night in February 2023. Felt like we had stayed for a week. There was so much to do. Tobogganing, skating, ice hockey, curling, ice fishing, outdoor fire pits, games room, ping pong, fosse ball, darts, connect 4, snow shoeing and cross country skiing. Food on-site was great. Fun entertainment too. Friendly staff. They think of everything to make it a great memory.

My family decided to stay here for one night as we had read good reviews and wanted to see if it was a place we would visit in the future. The front desk staff came across as robotic and were not willing to go above or beyond for any guest. The bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good but overpriced and portions were very small. The room was clean but we did have to kill a few spiders in the lower corner cobwebs. We asked for bedding for the pullout for one of our kids and it took about a hour and although we were told they were at capacity the staff did not seem that busy which in that case I would have understood the long wait. The property was lovely and our kids would have enjoyed swimming but we went during the fall. Overall though we will not be going back.

Overall we liked the resort, most people were very nice and friendly, and the kids activities and kids club were great. However there were few things that we didn’t like: 1. Rooms were very small. 2. Beds were very high and not safe for small kids. 3. Window frames were broken and flies could come inside. 4. Air conditioner was old and super loud, that we were unable to sleep. 5. The resort didn’t honour Expedia’s agreed accommodation price and overcharged us at checkout. The resort’s manager promised to sort it out but he never got back to us.

The resort is very family friendly, with a variety of activities and a nice small beach. The resort is currently under construction and other areas need some TLC. When we entered our suite there was brown water coming out of the bathroom tap and the drains smelt. There are train tracks next to the property and freight trains blast their horns at all hours (we were worken up at 5am 2/3 days). As others have noted the food quality is poor and we were disappointed in what we received for the price. So a bit of a mixed bag, we had an okay weekend but won’t be back.

Quiet and was nice for an afternoon walk. Not much else to do as Monday didn't have anything planned. We were ok with that though. We had dinner at the lodge and it was ok. The menu options are limited and we understand as it can include a meal plan and the resort caters to groups at this time of year. Service was great at dinner. We did find the prices a bit high for what we received but we were celebrating a special occasion and were determined not to let anything bother us. That said, as we were there only the one night, no one questioned the reason for our stay at this resort in particular so there was never an opportunity to share our special occasion with any of the staff. Overall quite pleased about the property. Our unit had 2 rooms with a nice patio overlooking the lake. The beach was narrow but wide and the lake bottom was firm sand and did have some weeds further out. There were canoes and kayaks and an outdoor pool. Inside pool in another building but was down stairs. We did have breakfast and dinner twice; which was a buffet. We did enjoy our short stay and would come back again.

We stayed there for one night. When we arrived, we found out the electricity and water were out. That happens, and it wasn’t in the hotel’s control. What was in their control is how they handle it. We weren’t offered any help unless we asked for it, the pool and indoor playground weren’t available because it was too dark - and given the bad weather these were the only relevant amenities. The hotel didn’t offer any compensation at all, and even declined our request for late checkout so we have some more time to enjoy the facilities.
