The lodge was clean and quiet. I was able to charge an EV while I visited - that was a huge relief while traveling, as there are not many charging stations in the area and sometimes they are out of commission. The breakfast was very good; i really liked the yogurt and fresh fruit. I wish more people would tip the women who prepare and service the rooms and breakfast. The view of the Selkirks from the back was lovely - I saw a Lazuli bunting and a bull moose.

This hotel was very nice with everything you would expect from Best Western. We had a suite that was roomy enough for the 4 of us to spread out. The bed was super comfy with clean linens and extra pillows. We used the pool, hot tub, and fitness room that were all on par with the brand. Breakfast had the usual hot and cold options. There was a dairy alternative milk available which is extra selfishly for us traveling with food allergies.

This property was a true delight and staff amazing!! While I often stay at 5 star hotels around the world, I had low expectations that were crushed immediately upon arrival. They (Logan) met my needs for a quiet, top floor, far from the elevators room that ended up being at the end of the hall with an amazing view of the mountains, creek below, and occasional wildlife. The lobby is welcoming in itself with a warm fire and warm drinks available all-day. The hot tub is a bonus, perfect for after ski relief. Finally, there is a wonderful "ski room" for tuning/waxing; an added bonus. I will be back!!! Well done team.

This is an amazing Best Western. The breakfast was really fresh and more varied than a typical hotel breakfast. They had options for room configurations with a separate, connected room for the teens and the main room had a great apartment like setup. The pool and hot tub were very clean. The decor in the rooms and common areas was updated and tasteful. The staff were all friendly and efficient. Restaurant in the oarking lot was decent and convenient. The proximity to skiing was great. They had a great ski locker which we didn’t need, but would be useful. Great hotel for skiing families!

Bed was confortable and room was spacious. We received good & efficient service during check in and check out. Room was not “super” clean. We had a pet friendly room, located at the first floor, and the carpet was significantly used / old / damaged / with crumbles / dust from prior travelers and their dogs. We did not see any value on the dog fee. Breakfast had good options but was chaotic and noisy. Had the impression the at breakfast area is too small for the crowd.

Really great breakfast. Dining area inviting, comfortable and clean. Staff very kind and helpful. Rooms clean and maintained. No weird smells from cleaners or deodorizers that you often smell at other hotels. Highly recommend. We won't stay anywhere else when we're in the area.

Breakfast was superb... Kitchen staff works hard to serve people come and go. There is kinda smell in our room and missed housekeeping for 1 day but I guess due to miscommunication to the receptionist. But overall I like the place

Walls and ceilings are paper thin. Located next to a busy highway you get to hear every truck that goes by, with the addition of hearing every car door close and alarm lock noise. It sounded like there was a track meet above us. Staff offered to swap rooms, but we didn’t see what that would do. The other offer they gave was to let me leave and find another hotel. I will avoid this property, and you should too at all costs. Overpriced and the worst experience I have had in a hotel. There are cheaper and better places in the area. I thought I was paying for high end at the posted rate.

The person working the desk was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was surprisingly good (waffles, eggs, potatoes, oatmeal, blueberry, ...). Our room was clean and quiet and beds comfortable. The rooms facing the back have nice view of a meadow lined with conifers. We even saw several deer grazing.

Check in was good only thing I didn’t like was the room didn’t get cleaned even when we put the sign on the door we had to call down to get items also it’s very loud the people above us were banging around all night and I don’t mean a little I mean stomping jumping banging it was loud . Breakfast was great lots of options (that was nice ) area was good close to everything price could have been a bit cheaper I believe

We were so blessed by our stay at the Ponderay Mountain Lodge. Everything was immaculate and we had everything we needed when we needed it. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms, an amazing breakfast buffet attended by the nicest lady. The true excellence of the Lodge is in the kindness of its people. Marie and Kathy, you are angels! I so hope we can come back to see you all and enjoy the beauty of Ponderay at our leisure- thank you for making our stay so lovely and for being so ready to help. Ten stars!

This was a nice hotel. The back of the property is on a bit of a ravine/field. So my room on the back was very quiet. The parking lot is shared with the restaurant next store, so when it is busy you may need to park farther away. The breakfast was very nice and they rotated 2 hot selections daily. While it is not the hotel's fault. It is a bit strange (and slightly scary) that, if you are heading north on the interstate, you have go past the property until you can make a u-turn then travel back south to enter the property.

Perfect stop while traveling through area. Walkable distance from restaurants and shops. Short drive to enjoy the lake and take a hike without having to go into downtown Sandpoint. Though, Sandpoint is very cute and worth a visit.

This motel is nicer than the other $100-$200/nite places I've stayed during this 5-week trip. Warm cookies at check-in, very nice room and beds, nicer complementary toiletries, and excellent selection of Breakfast items (including bread pudding and hand-made breakfast Burritos.) Would stay here again!

Room was fantastic. Breakfast was not good, or should I say, the only thing for breakfast was the waffles. The eggs definately were not good. And the sausages had no flavor at all.
