We only booked this hotel because it was the only one in the area with a hot tub. My husband went in it the first night we were there and it was like bath water, then turned cold. We told front desk, they did nothing about it. Told a different person the next day, they did nothing about it. By the third day I called and asked why no one would even take a moment to look at it and they said it has to be someone in maintenance. Apparently no one was there from maintenance. We stayed three nights. We are now leaving and the hot tub has yet to be turned up. It’s disappointing since the hot tub is not broken. No one took the time to find help to turn it up for a temperature that’s meant for a hot tub. Also, it was not the cheapest hotel for the area and again, we chose this hotel simply for the hot tub.

Nice hotel, a little disappointed that the hot tub was out of order though, which was one of the reasons I booked this location, good breakfast, especially the waffles. Would absolutely stay here again.

This Fairfield Inn is superb for the cyclist travelling the GAP Trail and/or C&O Canal Trail. The hotel is literally right next to the trail, has a bike fix station outside, has a hose to wash a dirty bike, has two washer/dryers available, and has some bike parking in the hotel (or you can put bike in your room). Great staff. I felt very welcome at this particular hotel.

Absolutely great property! Bike washing area with plenty of lock up areas. Brewery and restaurant next door very convenient. Staff very responsive and on-site laundry a huge plus! Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Everything at this hotel was excellent. The staff attentive, the cleanliness was excellent as well as the breakfast. One of the top 5 I've ever stayed at. One issue regarding the tub, was a little slick with no rough surface to prevent a fall. We didn't fall. Only a slight issue other than that a spotless place to stay.Very Highly Recommended. I definitely will return here again.

I loved the location and accessibility to walk through downtown. Parking and check-in were easy, and the staff was friendly and professional. I thought the room could have been cleaner - there were wrappers left behind on the floor and what appeared to be a broken piece of blind lying on top of the HVAC unit. Similarly, we arrived for breakfast at 9:20am and there was no fruit or bread available.

Excellent as usual, but some glitches. First room had noisy HVAC that prevented sleep. Desk associate quickly assigned me a new room. But new room lacked refrigerator; desk associate told me at checkout that will change once property’s ongoing refurbishment is completed.

Nice hotel with great breakfast and dining area, close to downtown. Loud, throbbing elevator noise disrupted sleep although it was across and down the hall it vibrated the room. Staff were not empathetic. Internet was useless, and I do not wish to hand over personal info for access, which was poor in any event

Sinks stopped up, hard beds, you can feel the springs, refrigerator didn't work it stank also......just horrible, all you hear all night is a train. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

You would think if you were renovating you wouldn't charge a full rate to people who are forced to smell strong paint smell all day. The only way you can get on their WiFi is to sign up for the loyalty program. Then it just spins when trying to log in. The hot tub was a plus.

This hotel was the perfect location for our trip to Cumberland for a train ride. It was located a block from the train station. The staff were very friendly and our check-in process was quick and simple. The room was nice. Some furniture was a little outdated but the room appeared to be clean. The free breakfast was very convenient and their breakfast selections met our needs. The only complaint was the heater. When it was on the room got hot but when it was off the room got cool quickly. Not sure why hotels can't come up with a better room heating/cooling system to better regulate the temperatures. But we managed.

Stayed overnight in an executive suite. Check in was seamless and staff was friendly. Room appeared clean. Room size and amenities were disappointing, early morning noise was unbearable. Doors slamming. Horns outside. Banging outside my room coming from parking area.

The evening desk attendant was rude and extremely disrespectful. The hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good as well. This was all overshadowed by the the treatment we were shown by the attendant.

We loved the stay. We reached there on Friday evening 4/14 evening, noticed that there were 10 people(high school team came for sports) waiting for the reception. Kudos to the young lady at Guest Services(forgot her name) has managed very very well and help all the guests to get into their rooms. Breakfast was good, location is convenient and we didn't have to use our car for anything.

The hotel is clean, and the staff are courteous and helpful. Ken is friendly and welcoming at the front desk. One of the highlights of our stay was the complimentary breakfast, which offered a myriad of options, including oatmeal, bread, eggs, meat proteins, yogurt and fruits. There were also carry-out options like mixed nuts and candied fruits, which was convenient. However, I found the walnuts to be less than satisfactory in terms of taste. Overall, I would recommend Fairfield Inn for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and complimentary breakfast and parking.

Clean, updated and so close to Canal Place shopping and downtown restaurants. Perfect for GAP hiking and biking with bike wash and air hose. Breakfast was really good. Waffles, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, etc. Even a “make your own” trail mix station.

Under renovation that I imagine will make this hotel top notch. We were comfortable in our room. The breakfast eggs were too dry all mornings and the bacon was also like leather but otherwise the food was enough for our needs.

Very impressed with the breakfast and the selections. The little extra touches were impressive I.e. , making your own trail mix bag in the morning and including the TV on when you walk in the room with a personal message to you when you arrive. Kudos to the staff at this site!
