The pictures of hotel are deceiving as I never did see the restaurant with the brick as displayed in the pictures. It may be a picture of the distillery down the street. There is dated carpet in the rooms so be sure to bring your “inside shoes”. Very clean and very friendly frontline staff and parking is onsite which is a plus.

Melk is a beautiful little town and a nice place to shop. The hotel is situated in a good place but it is quite dated, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good. Unfortunately the rooms have no air conditioning and it was very hot. Some of the floors are split level so be prepared to carry your luggage up a few stairs.

Very warm welcome, reception and dining room staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and lunch were both good. Excellent location to Melk Abbey. Only a two block walk to a small shopping centre with a grocery store and pharmacy.

Vom Abendessen bin ich jedoch nicht so begeistert, die Knödel kamen aus der Mikrowelle, deshalb angetrocknet. Auswahl im Menü ist eher klassisch um nicht zu sagen etwas altmodisch. Dafür war das das Frühstück hervorragend! Sehr große Auswahl an Speisen, ob süße oder würzige. Kuchen sehr frisch und lecker. Meine Mama (95) bekam ein behindertengerechtes Zimmer (sollte man rechtzeitig reservieren). Die junge Dame an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
