The rooms are great and it’s right in downtown DeLand. However, the windows only have white curtains which allow all the light from the signs and street of downtown. My room was illuminated at night which made it tough to sleep. The street is a little noisy but not bad. Their restaurant and bar are closed Sundays and Mondays. There is no food available. The place is very nice and clean but I can’t give it 5 stars because of the things I mentioned.

Great location right in historic downtown in walking distance to everything. We enjoyed the lounge and rooftop bar and boutique hotel setting. We were able to bring our dog with us and took her many places in town so it was a very dog friendly town and hotel experience.

Very nice historic hotel. Plus / minus on being co-located with busy Cuban restaurant. The food at the Cuban restaurant was excellent, but makes the hotel smell like oil and food. Parking also becomes an issue because of the restaurant. The hotel is an excellent location for all things downtown Deland.

Staff is always super friendly and fun. The rooms are equipped with all the necessities. Cute hotel bar and delicious Cuban restaurant on premise. It’s our go-to hotel for our over nights in Deland. Highly recommend.

Very nice and helpful staff at front desk. Nice bar to relax with a beverage and listen to the entertainment. They serve snacks if the restaurant is open but it wasn’t on Tuesday. Many amenities in the spacious room and a large walk in shower. Robes and slippers available.

Really nice old building. Had a ton of charm. Balconies arent private and wood starting to wear from rain. Bed was too firm but the room was well decorated. Worst part was finding the entrance and where to park. Not enough spaces with rooftop bar.

The staff was very accommodating. It is right by the expanding restaurant opportunities in downtown DeLand. And the lounge is great. With open-mic and comedy nights, you can relax in the evenings. There is parking!

Very misleading marketing and not cheap!!!! Thought we were going to experience a classy historic hotel. It was run-down, dirty, restaurant closed down, bar closed down, rooftop closed down! Our room was dirty so they switched us to another room, then the air didn’t work so the next day thru switched us again! Come to find out, the lounge and rooftop are only open Friday and Saturday and the restaurant is closed Sunday till Wednesday!!!! So disappointing! We have points and could have stayed at Marriott down the street but really thought we were going to experience something special - Lesson Learned!!!!

The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were soft. They had a drink stain on them that I am hoping was a stain and not just dirty. The room smelled really musty. The restaurant was great for breakfast. We will probably find a different hotel next time.

Smelled the restaurant two floors up. Shower was terrible, spraying everywhere with lukewarm water. Stains on the bench by the bed, looked nasty. Was afraid to touch it. Other than that, comfy bed and nice furnishings.

We spent $350 for a "suite". In Deland. Deland. Room was dated, not a suite. Dirty. Long black hairs in the bathroom. We are both short haired males. Mismatched furniture. An antiquated ac unit that couldnt cool even the small room in December. Pricey "suite" that faced the street. Late night and early am noise, with no thought to minimizing. Seriously, $350 a night? A dirty and 1990\'s dated room? In Deland? The separate downstairs bar was great. Go for the drinks. Stay at the Marriot down the street for less than 1/2 the price and Uber. Tremendously disappointed in this property.

The building itself is an original older structure that is very charming and historical to the town. The rooms have been renovated, upgraded and modernized. Our room was spotless with really nice personal touches. There were chocolates on each bed and a welcome bag of snacks on the table for us. The beds were really comfortable and the bathroom and shower were spacious. The floors were modern with a nice area rug between the beds. There were even two wonderful white robes with matching slippers for our use hanging in the closet. The rooms have old style keys which is very charming. The hotel has a nice lounge/bar with music. It also has a spanish restaurant on the property. This local hotel is an excellent choice over the local national chain hotels. We were very glad to have stayed here during our stay in DeLand, Florida

Charming hotel conveniently located to downtown, could walk to everything. Room was clean layout good for a weekend stay although the linens were not clean on the pull out sofa, had to request new. Hotel staff friendly and check in and check out a breeze. Rooftop bar noise well past midnight.

The rooms are beautiful, the beds are comfortable, but they are not soundproofed. There was music downstairs until midnight on our first night & on the rooftop bar until 1AM on our second night. Sleeping while the music was occurring was impossible. The staff at the hotel was apologetic, but unhelpful. The people at the restaurant were very apologetic for the noise the first night & gave us free cafe con leches. On the first night, our tv did not work & the lock on the door was inconsistent with locking/unlocking. They repaired the tv, tried to repair the lock, but we ended up locked inside our room. The front desk clerk comped us a room upgrade, & that room was in excellent condition. There really needs to be as much attention to the condition of the rooms as there is to entertainment. This is not the sort of hotel to stay in for getting sleep.

Location is ideal. We have stayed here before. Room needed a refresh- paint, tile, carpet. Our suite directly over rooftop bar. Very loud and open past posted closing time. Previous night sleep disturbed by next room. Fire department broke down door. Could have been better handled. Front desk staff- no one on at night- was kind. Restaurant excellent. But we won’t return.

The Artisan is so much more tyan i expected. The doors can be a little sricky, its an old hotel after all. Ours would not open at all, so they moved us to a Suite due to the difficulty. Since this was for my partners Birthday, the young man at the check in desk gace us a bottle of wine to celebrate. The bed was comfortable and the black out curtains are just that, Black out. No light will bother. We plan to stay here the next time we are in Deland

It was very quiet. The staff was very accommodating . We couldn’t park our truck & trailer in the parking lot but they gave us a couple of options across the street. We appreciated that! The room was cozy and very clean. There was a “welcome bag” for us. In the evening, they had beautiful lights around the building and an area where you could sit outside. Highly recommend.

No microwave in the junior suite, just a mini fridge, phones didn’t work, elevator broken, coffee maker overflowed, no front desk staff. Definitely feel overcharged. Great location and clean.

“Historic” usually conjures up an idea of history, charm, and some modern flair. I’m not sure what’s historic here other than the use of real keys for the room. The rooms are fine. Everything else is fine too, except the onsite restaurant which is exceptional. This is not a $350 / night hotel. There’s nothing wrong other than the less than interested front desk staff who seem more interested in smoking on the front porch than being available to guests. There’s also nothing great or exceptional. If this were $125 / night I’d give it 4.5 stars. At $300 / night, it’s a 3.

My wife and I were staying here for our sons wedding. I couldn't ask for a better weekend. The hotel was very convenient to everything. We were in walking distance to the wedding and reception hall. Also 1 block away from several breweries and places for live music. Walking distance to several restaurants and shops. The hotel had a restaurant of its own. It served breakfast and dinner. There also was bar/lounge in the hotel that had jazz type music. We stayed in the suite. It was newly done and very roomy. It had a good sized living room, fridge, wet bar, coffee area and a very comfortable king size bed. There was a little noise from the restaurant/bar, but tolerable and it didn't stay open too late. Overall a great place to stay.

Great location right in historic downtown in walking distance to everything. We enjoyed the lounge and rooftop bar and boutique hotel setting. We were able to bring our dog with us and took her many places in town so it was a very dog friendly town and hotel experience.

Very nice historic hotel. Plus / minus on being co-located with busy Cuban restaurant. The food at the Cuban restaurant was excellent, but makes the hotel smell like oil and food. Parking also becomes an issue because of the restaurant. The hotel is an excellent location for all things downtown Deland.

Very cute, old, historic Hotel. The Cuban restaurant inside the Hotel was actually delicious with great service! The employee at the front desk who works days is really nice and helpful as well. Shower was great in the bathroom, fridge worked great,bed was decent. I liked the room and the only thing that was a little annoying (and totally out of tne hotel’s control) is that the road is pretty noisy/trafficky. Otherwise, I liked it and would return!:)

The rooms are great and it’s right in downtown DeLand. However, the windows only have white curtains which allow all the light from the signs and street of downtown. My room was illuminated at night which made it tough to sleep. The street is a little noisy but not bad. Their restaurant and bar are closed Sundays and Mondays. There is no food available. The place is very nice and clean but I can’t give it 5 stars because of the things I mentioned.

The staff was very accommodating. It is right by the expanding restaurant opportunities in downtown DeLand. And the lounge is great. With open-mic and comedy nights, you can relax in the evenings. There is parking!

The only reason we stay and would continue to stay is the closeness to downtown. This time the toilet wouldn’t flush. There was no reason it shouldn’t have as we didn’t clog it up with anything. We’ll be back but I’m just wondering what will happen next trip.

When we arrived we found used q-tips in the bathroom and when getting ice from the machine we saw lots of black mold. Also, the fridge was set so cold that everything we put in there froze. Otherwise, a pleasant stay. Right in the downtown area so walkable to lots of restaurants. We enjoyed the bar downstairs (although I don't think they are affiliated with the hotel).
