There is no room service or hotel bar.

This is a beautiful hotel. Friendly, knowledgeable staff with clean and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was delicious and had a wonderful assortment of food and beverages. The bar was awesome and served the very best Sangria! The hotel was within walking distance of many sights. Taxi service is available. I highly recommend this property for a stay in Barcelona.

Nice hotel, but the bar was not open during our stay and they didn’t have a gym or any extra’s such as a gym or outdoor space. Rooms and front desk staff were nice.

Spent 4 nights at this hotel. Room was very clean, staff helpful and accommodating. We chose this hotel because of its location right in the gothic quarter. Walked to many historic sites and attractions, for the ones further away took taxis which were right beside the hotel and not very expensive. Unfortunately hotel has no restaurant onsite, only bar with no snacks, alcohol only. But walk across the street and within minutes you can reach several wonderful restaurants. Make sure to try their sangria. There is some construction beside the hotel right now and hotel is on fairy main and busy street, we had a room on the opposite side which was nice and quiet. Would come back to Colonial if ever visit Barcelona again.

Loved the location shore, palaces, cathedrals were easily accessible. comfortable rooms. Shower leaked onto floor, even when shower door was secure. Odd that there was not hair conditioner. Door to balcony did not latch easily. Hotel bar was open at odd/variable hours.

Colonial style is a bit darker and plain than other hotels. The external room service and the view from the balcony were a bit depressing. Location is great, staff was super friendly and helpful. There is a vending machine for water, soft drinks and beers and a bar which is open in the afternoon.

The hotel is beautiful, breakfast is very good but a bit expensive, room was clean, and bed was comfortable but with limit storage, bathroom was good, but shower glass was small, so floor was flooded every time we took a shower. View of the room was a dirty wall, but probably better than the front of the hotel since the street was on construction. Staff was nice, no parting close, you need to park in public parking about 10 min walk. Download the parking app first to be easier to park. Location was great, everything could be reached by walking, great restaurants, a lot of stores and close to the hop on hop off bus stop. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

This hotel is in a convenient location for shopping, the marina, the beach, and transport. The only downside of this hotel is that it doesn't have any outside sitting area.

Staff was friendly and the area was easier to find parking for the facility than other areas.

The beds were comfy, the room was spotless, and the staff was very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was dusty, the sheets had a funny old smell. I called from desk to clean the dust and ask for better covers unfortunately nothing was resolved. The covers and the sheets are like prison sheets I’ve seen on TV. In this century they can do better with that. Location is great but for that price I wish I went around the corner. Overpriced for this Hotel.

Nettes Personal, sehr gute Lage . Zimmer waren modern und mit dem wichtigsten ausgestattet, Betten waren bequem. Frühstück war reichhaltig und im Speisesaal genug Platz um sofort essen zu können, egal um welche Zeit man frühstücken gegangen ist. Einziger Abstrich ist die Sauberkeit. Bei der zimmerdurchsicht - um zu prüfen das wir zur Abreise alles eingepackt haben, haben wir einige Staub-Ecken und sogar Essensreste gefunden, obwohl wir nicht auf dem Zimmer gegessen haben.

Room was nice and clean…and spacious. The staff here are so accommodating and nice. The breakfast buffet downstairs is straight amazing! There is so much food…and so nicely displayed. We got there early (in the morning from a cruise), and the check in staff asked us to sit down in the lobby to make us more comfortable while they managed the big crowd….they then so nicely took our bags into check in until the room was ready, and when we got back a handful of hours later, our bags were placed into our room for us. The location of this hotel is fantastic…all is walkable to the gothic quarter, the waterfront and several other beautiful areas. It was fantastic.

Our room was on the second floor and the room felt super spacious and everything. The ceilings are extremely tall, the bathroom was immaculate. My wife and I stayed here on our last night in Barcelona before flying out. One of the nicest hotels in the Gothic Quarter. Would highly recommend staying here.

Nach dem Check in in das Hotel musste ich feststellen, dass die Kategorie, die ich gebucht habe, nicht dem Zimmer entsprach, welches ich bekam. Neues Zimmer für den nächsten Tag wurde versprchen. Angekommen im nicht der Buchung entsprechendem Zimmer, stellte ich fest, dass der Kühlschrank defekt war und im Safe Batterien fehlten und daher eine Nutzung nicht möglich war. Der Hocker in dem ersten Zimmer war so dermaßen durchgesessen, man könnte meinen, ein Elefant habe darauf gesessen. Mein absolutes Highlight: hunderte Haare im Bett! . Nachdem mein Mann die Decke an der ersten Ecke des Bettes hervorzog, sah ich direkt ein dickes, langes, weißes Haar und dort hört es nicht auf. An dieser Ecke (ca. 40cm Fläche) fanden sich 6 weitere Haare, verschiedener Menschen!!! In blond, weiß, braun und verschiedenen Längen: ganz lang, kurz und sehr kurz. Also ging es runter zur Rezeption. Personal kam mit aufs Zimmer: Ich zeigten ihm die ganzen Haare und veranschaulichte, dass alle Laken runter sollen und zog diese an einer Ecke ab. Und dann offenbarte sich gaaaaanz unten auf dem eigentlichen Bettlaken weitere lange schwarze Haare und ein ekelhafter brauner Fleck, Fäkalien, Dreck, ich weiß es nicht und will auch nicht darüber nachdenken. Einfach WIDERLICH und das alles um 00.30 Uhr in der Nacht! In Zimmer 2 war das Waschbecken verstopft und auch dort keine Batterien im Safe. Hotel verdrehte Fakten, als es um eine anteilige Rückerstattung ging und lehnte diese ab. Nachweise liegen vor. 0* !

Overall a fantastic hotel that could benefit from a little TLC. Staff are super friendly and courteous and not only let us leave our luggage early but brought it to our room for us once it was ready - huge points for that. The building itself is clean, bright, and modern and our room was perfect for us - clean, roomy, comfortable bed, natural light, and a gigantic washroom. The only criticism we had was that some of the finishes are showing their age: some lights flickered or dimmed randomly, the shower fixture was a bit leaky and wonky, and the soundproofing could be better through the hallway door - we got woken up a couple times by people coming and going to other rooms. Aside from these minor complaints the location is absolutely perfect for tourism and food. It's right next to the Gothic Quarter and a few minutes from La Rambla, but on a main street with transit. I'd 100% book again.

Nice hotel & friendly staff. Breakfast was also good. Only negative was the noise from outside our room. We stayed overlooking the street & there was noise all through the night and loud noise from the recycling bins. The room was warm but they don’t have air conditioning until April. Overall hotel nice but would choose somewhere else if visited Barcelona again.

This was our second time staying at this property. We love the location and its walkability! The staff are amazing, as is the property itself! One thing to be aware of though is that the windows are not sound proof so you will hear the street traffic when staying in an exterior room but the view males up for it!

Amazing location for walking the gothic quarter. Great but pricey breakfast buffet and yet it was still worth it. The room was spacious but it was more fashion over function. Stiff mattress. Shower floor was like cobblestone and hard on my feet. Shower only had a half glass partition so the bathroom floor would get soaked. They only give you one all in one ambiguous “shampoo/body wash” no conditioner. So that was weird. Loud construction during the day and garbage trucks in the middle of the night. I was so tired from walking all day that I slept through it. Although most hotels in downtown Barcelona will probably be loud. So it is what it is.

We got a balcony on the 6th floor, which was really nice, even though it just looked out onto the roof of the building next door. Room is decent size (sufficient). Noise, even with glass door closed, kept us up. If you want to sleep, skip the "view" and take an inside courtyard room.

Room was nice, staff was great, and location couldn’t be better.

The hotel was pretty the room was good for what we needed it for… the only thing we would of liked was drawers in the room because we were there for a week we had to go to our luggage to get the basics everyday since there was no place to put our stuff in there was a closet with hangers though…

Great location- within walking to everything in the Gothic Quarter. Staff was lovely and very helpful. Clean but very dated rooms- dark interior- felt like we were staying in a cave.

Front desk staff was amazing, they got us cabs frequently and were able to answer all of the questions we asked with it being our first time in Barcelona. Room was good, clean and comfortable bed. Bit smaller by North American standards but not tight for 2 adults. Buffet breakfast was an additional cost but it was delicious. Wifi was good and there was a smart tv so you could choose what to watch.

Staff was absolutely wonderful and accommodating. We arrived 6 hours early. They stored our luggage and had our room ready before 1:00.

The hotel staff was great. We were a group of 16 and the staff handled our group size as if we were honored guests. There are so many things to see within walking distance of the hotel, it was perfect location for our home base.

Front desk guys were generally awful. They had quite some egos for hotel workers. Good breakfast buffet. We came back to our room to find a window open, which was closed when we left, when we reported it, the clown at the front desk just shrugged.

The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful. I was able to secure an ADA accessible room and check in much earlier than the normal time. The room was very comfortable and the walk in shower was a bonus. The hotel is very close to many sites and restaurants. The Metro was only 2 blocks away.

Great location and proximity to Gothic and old town. Construction on the main road was inconvenient, but manageable.

Great hotel close to many attractions and the cruise terminal. Very helpful staff, helped us secure a cab when it was super busy and Uber couldn’t find a ride for us.

Great hotel in the middle of the Gothic Quarter. The main road in front of the hotel was under construction during our visit. That did not impact our experience at all but may impact others' perception.

Excellent location for the Gothic Quarter, Born and the marina/beach. Would highly recommend.

Great location very central so if you don't mind walking it's 15-20mins walk anywhere.

The hotel staff were very helpful at check in and with any information you need about the area. The hotel is elegant and clean. Has plenty of restaurants, shops and markets all right outside the hotel. The metro is less than a quarter mile up the street and bus stops on the street as well. Almost half mile walk from Barceloneta Beach.

Nice hotel. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. Lots of street works going on which made it a bit noisy though.

The staff were friendly, breakfast was excellent, front desk very professional and it was close to everything. Excellent choice of restaurants in short walking distance. Although construction was active in tearing up the street, you did not hear anything in the room. TV had one English station (BBC). Close walk to marina, beach and market. I would recommend this as a definite return to hotel!

Hotel employees were very friendly and helpful. Amenities in the room like face towels, soap etc were missing. I suppose the hotel is short of cleaning staff. The breakfast was really good. So many choices of menu.

Wonderful location in the Gothic neighborhood, excellent shopping and dining. Can walk to a lot of major attractions. The hotel is very nice, with the most delicious breakfast every morning. The rooms with a balcony are amazing. Nice bathrooms and very clean.

Gelegen in een mooie wijk, strand binnen handbereik, schone kamer, vriendelijke receptie. Laatste dag(maandag) was het ontbijt minder uitgebreid en voor gasten na ons zelfs geen broodjes. Dat was wel iets minder
