When we arrived, the air conditioner was not working well and the staff told me to give it 10 min. We left and came back 4 hrs later and the room was hot. It was actually cooler outside. We told the staff & they changed us to another room and had to wait about 2 hrs before feeling the room getting cooler. The WiFi was bad so the TV kept going out. I would not stay there again.

Staff was not accommodating even though their was no one else around. Room had awful smell and you could tell the upkeep had not been done. Bedspread had a hole in it. Bottom of bathtub was painted and slippery. No breakfast and vending machines didn't work very well.

Bed bugs all over the bed, not just a few the bed was covered. They moved me to 4 different rooms all had bed bugs in 1 or both beds. I got this hotel to spend Christmas with my kids as my current living situation I can't have them over night I got a hotel, and it was ruined by all the bed bugs. It was nasty I was just laying on the bed about 10 mins after just in and they were crawling on me. I ripped cover off the bed to see 30-50 bugs crawling around every where. They moved me into another room which has the same problem and the process repeated 2 other times all 4 rooms had bed bugs. 1 room at your propertie with bedbugs is horrible enough but to have 4 rooms. This ruined our 2024 Christmas and they refuse any type of refund. I have videos and photos but this hotel.com app is messing up it won't allow me to upload the photos there was big bed bugs little ones tiny babies big ones all running all over the beds absolutely disgusting

I should have expected what I was going to get for $79 a night. They have roaches. I walked in the room and I watched 3 of them run away once I turned on the lights. Even if you need somewhere to sleep in an emergency, do not let it be here…

If it were not for the bed bugs on the pillow case we would have looked past the cigarette burn holes in the comforters and stains on the sheets. It was “ok” as far as cleanliness goes considering what you’re paying. Im not sure how to describe the smell, but it was strong, of maybe a cleaning solution or bug spray, not sure. Staff was friendly enough but gave a slight attitude when we showed them the video of the bed bugs. They asked if we wanted another room, but obviously we weren’t taking any chances of getting bitten by bed bugs or our belongings infested. We left immediately and went elsewhere. Even though it says nonrefundable I’m hoping a refund is issued for this unfortunate inconvenience.

This place was disgusting! The room had a horrible funky smell! The floor had soft spots in like you might fall through. There was nasty stuff on the walls. The bathroom door had been busted in. Illegal aliens all around. Creeping around us as we were getting our bags. Very uncomfortable! They wouldn’t refund our money when we refused to stay. Worst place I’ve ever seen! Shouldn’t be open to public. Leave it for the illegals and sex offenders!!

This was the most disgusting place ive ever walked into. The room was filthy, sheets were dirty and stained, the pillows 2 had pillow cases i had none and they were all dirty and sweat stained, the floor was sticky, walls were filthy. I walked right out and went up to the office they gave my deposit back but would not give me my money back for the room. They said i was not back in 15 min so they couldnt refund me, Horriblw place RUN.

The bed sheets had cigarette holes, the bar for the towel was hanging off one side, the shower had to barely any pressure and was hardly hanging into the wall, and that's just the start of it. The door looked like it had been busted in the bottom, the handle was very hard to unlatch, and the bed felt like a rock. I didn't sleep well because of how tough the bed was, which has affected my next day performance at my show. The only good thing about the room is that everything was technically clean. It took the staff three tries to get my key to work, and the welcome room seemed dark and seedy.

We got to our room and got in, not realizing that the lock was broken. When we left as we had tickets to a local baseball game. The door would not lock. We went up to the front desk and dialed the number. They said to call if you had problems and it was an incorrect number. The only reason we found someone to help is they were walking around outside. The staff was nice but a very average hotel and the room was not very clean. A lot of dust.

We arrived and the person at the desk was very unfriendly and then we go to the room [309] the door looked like it was sawed off and plywood put over half the door. As we walked in there was no table in the room just two wooden chairs. We walk into the bathroom the tub is filthy, and towels rack off the wall. Only two celling lights and no lights on the nightstand. Will never stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

Front desk required a SURPRISE DEPOSIT OF $50! Would not let me check in without paying it. This was not stated in any place when I booked on the app. Desk clerk was shady saying “don’t break stuff get money back.”. The overall stay was fine. However, I was asked for a $50 refundable deposit which seemed like a shady business practice. There is also no free breakfast as advertised. I still have not received my deposit back and it has been almost a week since we stayed. I have tried calling over 40 times and no one at the front desk picks up. There is no way to leave a message because voice-mail is full. This was definitely one of the cheaper options to stay, but they rob you of your deposit so spend your well-earned money elsewhere.

We had stayed at the Rodeway Inn before. The lobby was rough. But the people that worked at the desk were nice. The outside of the hotel could use a good weeding. I was surprised how clean the room was. Keep in mind this hotel is very basic but it more than did its job for a one night stay. I want to again thank the front desk staff of not having to give up my first born child to get registered. There is another in the area that you have to supply both ID for my husband and myself. Sign an agreement no pets no smoking no moving furniture. Thank you for making it Easy.

The rooms are not the greatest, nor are they "state of the art". But they serve their purpose and at an extremely cheap rate. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. I stayed here while passing through on my way to WV for a motorcycle rally, both ways. If you do not mind a less than perfect room or beds, this is okay as a stopping point, but I don't think I would spend more than a night or so here. It was good for what my friend and I used it for, hence the rating.

I had a terrible experience with the front desk clerk at check-in. (She) was very rude, unpleasant and forceful! I was tempted to not check-in and leave to find another hotel/motel in the area, even if I had to pay more. I would suggest you find another location!!!!!

Went for a few days on a solo trip. This hotel is the furthest thing from being fancy, but for the price, it provided a clean place to lay my head. Exactly what we expected for the price. No frills, basic accommodation. It did exactly what we needed it to; gave us two relatively comfortable beds for a night. This dump calling itself the “Rodeway Inn” in Altoona is hands down the worst hotel I’ve ever seen. The Expedia listing lies about “continental breakfast” — what you actually get is a stained coffee pot and a dirty cup. No food. Nothing. Just false advertising. The room? Disgusting. It stinks like mold and body odor, the bedding feels like it’s never been washed, and even the door is sticky with filth. Walking in made my skin crawl. To make things worse, they force you to pay a $50 security deposit and then never return it. This is pure theft. This place is a scam, a health hazard, and an embarrassment to the hospitality industry. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy being lied to, robbed, and grossed out.

The room I was in the toilet had no water, turn out it was leaking so the owners/maintenance staff had turned it off to prevent water loss. I turned it on, problem solved after using the toilet. Then I wake up at night and there is water in the floor. The place advertised as having included breakfast when I checked in late night, the desk person told me they stopped breakfast since Jan. I paid for this when booking as my child as an early morning competition and we needed to be out. So it would be good if Expedia which has been nice about advertising refunds me for the breakfast that I had to grab outside. I think that is a fair ask? what do you think? BTW I was in room 204 just so you can verify my comments.

Room was exactly like photo shown, comfortable and clean, room furniture in good condition, quite impressed property was well lite at night too … nothing fancy but a very decent motel for quick 1 night sleep before continuing our drive No breakfast only coffee was available but we didn’t expect much for the value paid
