Chose the private sauna room since it's price was comparable to the cost of rooms in the area. Having the sauna was amazing after long days of walking and sightseeing. Pajamas were comfortable. Tea offerings were yummy, especially the chocolate honey tea. Hotel was quiet. 7-11 right across the street; Family Mart, Lawson, and Don Quijote close by. Staff placed our luggage in our room since we arrived before check in and checked out Shinjuku. Staff also helpful.

Rooms are very clean, but small. Nice size bathroom. Comfortable bed and bed linens. There is a kettle in the room so we picked up tea bags in the lobby. Lots of personal items available in the lobby at no charge. Staff spoke some English, so we were able to communicate okay. Front counter staff as well as cleaning staff were very friendly and courteous. Good location with shopping within walking distance at the Shinjuku train station. Lots of restaurants in the area.

I stayed at Villa Fontaine Hotel in Shinjuku for 20 nights with 2 adults in a queen bed room. Check-in was at 3:00 PM, and check-out at 11:00 AM. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the train station and subway, and just 5 minutes to the heart of Shinjuku with plenty of food and things to do. The staff were incredibly friendly, and their English was great. They even held our bags before check-in. The hotel is simple but clean, and every 3 days they did a deeper clean with new bedding, while fresh towels and water were provided daily unless you put up a "Do Not Disturb" sign. The room was spacious enough that it didn’t feel claustrophobic, and we could easily open all three of our suitcases. Amenities included pajamas, toothbrushes, razors, face cleansers, moisturizers, green tea, and coffee. After I requested English breakfast tea, they provided a fantastic selection after over a week. While the hotel is near busy Shinjuku, it wasn’t too noisy. If you’re out exploring, you’ll likely be too tired to notice. For 20 days, it felt like home, and we’d definitely stay again. A big thank you to the staff! Note: There’s no washing machine or tumble dryer, but a public laundromat is just a 2-minute walk away. It was easy to use, and the price was reasonable. We didn't have a need for parking or dining options so I don't know about those.

The hotel was just as expected based on its price. The rooms are small as usual for these types of hotels in Tokyo area but newly remodeled and clean. Bed was not very comfortable unfortunately. There is no laundry in the hotel but there is a laundromat steps from the hotel so it worked out good. Overall we had a good experience. 10-15 walk to Shinjuku station , which was very doable .

Nice hotel, good bathroom facilities with a deep bath, perfect as some who is 6’2”, I was able to soak up to my neck comfortably. Room size was on the snug size with two full size suitcases and carryon taking up a fair amount of the floor space, but not unusual for the location. The beds were a bit on the firmer side, a little too firm to allow for solid sleep, but that might work for others. Amenities included were the usual affair, and with a good sized 7/11 and FamilyMart on either end of the block, supplies were easily accessible. Far enough out of the main hustle of Shinjuku, but close enough that walking to the station is a 7-10min stroll. Hotel was doing renovations on some floors when we stayed, however the noise levels were unnoticeable, and the construction crews polite.

ロビーでは有人で対応。とても親切にしていただきました。館内の説明はQRコードを読み取ってという事だったので、面倒くさく見ずにいた。 ドアを開ければすぐベッド。室内では、ネオンが光る部屋。さすが歌舞伎町って感じ。ゴミ箱と中の袋のサイズが合っていないのか、ゴミを押し込むと袋まで中に入り込んでしまった。あとゴミ箱に亀裂が入っててビックリしたけど、問題なし。 同行者がルームキーを紛失してしまい、フロントにその旨を伝えると、もう一枚発行していただきました。 テレビの操作で分からずボタンを押すとNetflixや Abemaなど沢山観れるようになっていたのを最終日に気づきました。QRコードで館内案内を見てたらもっと早く気づけたのか？残念でした。次回泊まる時は、AbemaTVなどゆっくり見れたらと思います。 あと残念だったことは、ホテルの周りには土地柄、女性たちが立っていたり座っていたりと、1人ではちょっと泊まりにくいかも…。あとコインランドリーは外に行かなきゃ行けないのがマイナスポイントかな。 良かったポイントは風呂とトイレが別々だった事と、大きいキャリーを持っていましたがベッドの下に置く事ができたので、ゆったりとはいかないが普通に３泊４日過ごせました。 またリピートしたいですね♪

I stayed in the renovated rooms and if I come back to Tokyo I'd stay here again. The extended review... Cleanliness: 5/5 - The linens and towels were clean which is all I can ask for. Comfort: 5/5 - A very comfortable room where I was able to get The rooms wasn't as small as I thought it would be and the bathroom was actually pretty big. The best part was the blackout curtains!!!! Excellent location and good amenities/services available within the hote or nearby, with very helpful staff. Unfortunately the feeling of cleanliness we had in all the other hotels we stayed in was let down a little here by a bin in the bathroom which was heavily stained around the outside with what looked like period blood. On the plus side, the hotel did manage to withstand a local earthquake very well during our stay, with reassuring messages passed by staff over the address system.

Hotel is dated, we got one of their older rooms not the new renovated ones. Room was stale smelling and you can see the dust caked on the vent. Shower room had visible signs of mold. Bed was somewhat comfy. All pillow options were horrible.

The hotel was in Korea town, there were lots of dining options and shopping to enjoy. It was a very lively area, very bust, people everywhere, lots happening. Even so, the hotel was very quiet. The staff were very friendly and kind. We had the luxury of our own sauna, it was great.

A really nice hotel with fun style rooms. We were a bit worried about the location being near the Tokyo red light district however we didn’t have any problems- we weren’t out later than 10pm however. The staff were friendly and checking in and out was easy as well as storing our luggage on our last day. The bath in our room was really deep which was lovely and the bathroom felt spacious. The room could’ve been bigger however, we upgraded to a slightly larger room however we still could only open our suitcase on the bed and not the floor.

Great location for exploring the area and for the train station. Very comfortable and quiet room, no noise at all. Small room, but big bed. Small toilet/sink area but big wet room shower/bath, with loads of hot water and very clean. Would definitely recommend.

Booked a superior queen which was a nicely sized room. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful. The pillows were super super flat which is a thing with APA hotels so had to double stack. Zero issues with the room otherwise and would definitely return again.

The front desk male staffer working on Aug 31st 4:45pm. I think he had glasses, i didn't get his name but I am writing this positive review because of him. He went above and beyond any normal standard and made this a 5 star experience. He offered suggestions for refreshments after seeing us carry 3 large shopping bags, sweating and catching our breath. Then he offered to order a taxi because we had 2 very heavy luggage. But when we said we were going to Haneda airport, he said it will be very expensive but you can also walk 5 mins to the bus stop 3 blocks from here and it will cost you 1/3 of the price and take you directly to the airport (1 stop). He was very friendly, kind and took a great deal of initiative (without being asked) to make our trip and transport better. I wish I got his name because I don't think many 5 star hotel staff will even do this. And this was hotel #5 after travelling to Osaka, Kyoto, Okinawa, Ishigaki and Hokkaido. I would highly recommend this hotel for the kind and helpful staff, convenience to Shinjuku, 10-15 min to Shinjuku station, larger bed size (Queen instead of double) and mostly very clean. Air conditioning was very strong and you can adjust the temperature to your liking. The dehumidifier worked went to get rid of the musty scent other guests mentioned. Rooms are small but it is designed for you to just sleep and have a small bite in the room. Go explore Tokyo!

We stayed for one night (which was great), however we had to cancel the 2nd night due to disrupted travel plans caused by the typhoon in Japan. The hotel receptionists were sympathetic of our situation and agreed to provide a full refund for the unused night. However, as we made a request for refund through Wotif, the hotel decided to reject our request based on the strict application of their cancellation policy. Considering how great the Japan culture/moral standard is, we were particularly disappointed by this broken promise in this instance...

Our first time to Tokyo and just a heads up.... the rooms are much smaller than the U.S. But, something that really set this place apart was the incredible staff. Jokura was incredible and Komura helped her complete some very complicated luggage transfer requests. They were both so helpful, friendly and patient. Jokura went out of her way to make sure everything went well. It is with employees like her and Komura that makes me recommend this hotel. I would absolutely stay here again with staff like this. The hotel was only several minutes walk from bus drop offs and train stations. There was tons of food choices and entertainment all within less than a ten minute walk. My whole family had a wonderful time in a cute, little, charming hotel that was incredibly convenient and gives you a great taste of Shinjuku.

Stayed here for two weeks. Fantastic location only a few minutes walk from the heart of Shinjuku nightlife. About an 8 minute walk from Shinjuku station which takes you everywhere you could want to go in Tokyo and beyond. Staff were fantastic with excellent English. Very friendly and helpful, and willing to hold onto our luggage after checkout until our flight. The room was clean and cosy, with a deep bath and wide shower head. Toilet has a bidet, tap water is cold and drinkable. They provide towels, toiletries, drinking water, a kettle, a fridge, and AC all for free. The TV was also big and easy to use. I personally enjoyed the bed quite a lot but my Fiancé had some difficulties with the Japanese-style pillow of having a soft top and a beanbag-style bottom. Luckily the hotel is a 2 minute walk from Don Quijote, which sells just about everything you can imagine to make your stay comfy. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants, convenience stores, a batting cage, and bars just down the road. Really a perfect location. It is located just behind the wildest and most colorful part of Shinjuku, so you are right in the thick of things. Whether you like that or not depends on your personal preferences. Nice hotel, good bathroom facilities with a deep bath, perfect as some who is 6’2”, I was able to soak up to my neck comfortably. Room size was on the snug size with two full size suitcases and carryon taking up a fair amount of the floor space, but not unusual for the location. The beds were a bit on the firmer side, a little too firm to allow for solid sleep, but that might work for others. Amenities included were the usual affair, and with a good sized 7/11 and FamilyMart on either end of the block, supplies were easily accessible. Far enough out of the main hustle of Shinjuku, but close enough that walking to the station is a 7-10min stroll. Rooms are very clean, but small. Nice size bathroom. Comfortable bed and bed linens. There is a kettle in the room so we picked up tea bags in the lobby. Lots of personal items available in the lobby at no charge. Staff spoke some English, so we were able to communicate okay. Front counter staff as well as cleaning staff were very friendly and courteous. Good location with shopping within walking distance at the Shinjuku train station. Lots of restaurants in the area.

The hotel was in Korea town, there were lots of dining options and shopping to enjoy. It was a very lively area, very bust, people everywhere, lots happening. Even so, the hotel was very quiet. The staff were very friendly and kind. We had the luxury of our own sauna, it was great.

Our stay was OK. The location of this hotel is close to a Tokyo Metro station, but a further shoot from the JR stations which is often what you need as a tourist. It's close to a lot food which is nice. The room was super small (as expected) and I found the beds to be really hard and the pillows were small and uncomfortable. I've stayed in better hotels for sure but for the price, this was a fine option.

Very clean hotel with a huge bathroom with shower and tub. Lots of toiletries like body sponges, hairbrush, lotions, toothbrush, razors. Pyjamas and slippers provided. Water bottles given daily. Conveniently located near stores and restaurants. 7-11 on same street. Near Korean area and Shinjuku main shopping and restaurants.

It is what it is. Tokyo is expensive for what you get in terms of product. The area is a little seedy but manageable. Its main redeeming quality is that it is central. The staff were helpful. Don’t opt in for the breakfast collab with the coffee shop. You actually save money purchasing your brunch through the restaurant directly. My advice, invest some more into your vacation upgrade to a better stay.

Although the room was a bit small for 3 people, it was clean and nice. We didn't use the sauna (plenty hot weather in July) but imagine during a winter visit it would have been really nice! Staff was helpful and every afternoon when we got back to the room, they had additional water and other drinks waiting for us. Location was great, close to lots of hustle and bustle of Shinjuku but still a quiet room to unwind and relax.

Staff was accommodating and very helpful. Rooms and bathroom was clean. Cleaning staff did an excellent job. I realize most rooms in Japan are small so don't expect closet space and it is difficult maneuvering more than one large suitcase. There is more space in the room with a sauna. Also don't forget to try Edy's bar across the street. Unique and fun place to go is a must.
