When I checked in the lobby was under construction with a sign that indicated the elevators were not working. I asked the clerk what floor I was on and he said the second. I told him we had a dog and things that needed to be carried up the flight of stairs and asked for a first floor room. He indicated that there were not rooms available on the first floor and said something to the effect that unless we are disabled etc. I let him know I was disappointed that I was not notified when I made the reservation that the place was torn apart and the elevators not working. I asked for a refund and he said no can do as I booked thru a third part. In addition, I had to go thru three sets of keys before one would work on the room and the side door. Lots of running back and forth to the front desk. The clerk kept saying the keys work and it must be the key reader, which it wasn't. Third try with brand new keys and it worked. I noticed the first keys were old and scratched on the magnetic bar on the back. Clerk was rude and not customer friendly. Did not offer much assistance with the keys. We have stayed here for years on our way back from Arizona. Never again! Bye, bye Tucumcari La Quinta! Room was refreshed and new but the whole experience sucked!

The hot tub was not working, they had no information for guests like food or times for pool, and no ice machine on first floor. We also kept finding bugs everywhere, thankfully not in our bed.

Very nice staff. Dog yard for dogs. Decent breakfast. Very clean. Slow elevator though.

We were on the 3rd floor and the elevator stopped working 30 minutes after we arrived and was still out of order when we left. Some of the towels very worn and shabby. The breakfast was terrible, very weak coffee, juice dispenser out of order, gravy but no biscuits, no muffins or pastries. Very few restaurants in the town, only hamburger places and a couple of mexican restaurants. The town was very shabby and run down, and didn't feel very safe. We won't be stopping in Tucumcari again.

Was really looking forward to the hot tub after a 30 hour drive... but "out of order". Not pleased!

Great location. Had a great steak restaurant with walking distance. Great pool heated and hut tub with towels!

The elevator wasn't working and had been out for two weeks. We had a 2nd floor room. No adjustments were made to the prepaid bill. No help was given to move our bags to the 2nd floor. We have stayed there before. It is not a bad hotel, but no elevator for such a lengthy amount of time is ridiculous. You should have known and warned us.

This place is GOD AWFUL! The only good thing was the noce front drsk receptionist and clean sheets. The biggest catfish stop I have ever made for $200. Internet couldn't connect to my laptop, room looks nothing like photos posted and looks so much worst, it smells like dog urine in both the halls and the room! NOT WORTH THE PRICE.

There was an overwhelming chemical cleaner smell. It seems as though they use one full bottle of fabreeze per room each day. The bed was comfortable but the smell was so bad it was very difficult to sleep. I felt very unrested due to horrible chemical cleaner they use. The breakfast was subpar, powdered eggs, low grade sausage and biscuits and gravy. Bed was comfortable room was nice besides the smell.

Shower had mold in corners & floors.

Filthy. Floors were disgusting. The tub still had old bath water in it, not drained. The bathroom door has black mold on it. I didn’t even want my toddler playing on the floor!

The room was very clean and the staff was helpful and courteous!

Pretty dingy and breakfast was terrible. Dog potty yard was disgusting and stairwells smelled of urine.

We arrived later and the staff was friendly. Room was spotless. Lady in breakfast service area was so polite. Would definitely stay here again.

A great night’s sleep. Cool, clean and comfortable.

Paper thin walls. Lots of noise in the hall. Not the most stylish rooms, but terrific water pressure and a playland for pets.

Air conditioning was very loud.

Don't plan on taking a hot shower when staying here. We could not get hot water in our room no matter how long we waited. We were on the third floor, but that should not have any bearing on the issue. For the price I expected hot showers.

I would give the room a B-. The bed was nice and so was the bathroom. But there was nowhere to hang my clothes and there was a blank spot on the wall (unpainted) that used to have a picture or something on it. Plus I just don’t like floors with no carpeting or rugs. They put me on the floor that allows pets. Breakfast was pretty good.

Beautiful hotel. All the amenities I needed. Good breakfast with lots of options. Instead of curtains, our room had amazing room darkening shades. The a/c ran all night quietly and smoothly. None of the loud starts and stops some a/c units have. Quiet room. Everything was updated.

We loved the king suite we stayed in. It was very spacious and clean.

Rooms were clean and very roomy, we had an executive room, shower worked great and nice bed. Decent little breakfast, had a waffle and sausage.

Hotel was decent and the beds were nice. It’s clear that it’s a little dated, but it was comfortable enough for one overnight on a road trip. However, the hotel does allow pets and a neighboring room had a dog that barked often and loudly. Much of that was overnight and before checkout. Understand you have a pet policy (which I didn’t know beforehand and might have chosen elsewhere), but putting dogs next to rooms where there are no pets seems rude and unnecessary for guests. The stay was decent overall, but nothing to go crazy about. And the pet policy was disappointing.

The staff at the hotel was great. Was greeted by a couple behind the desk at check in that was extremely friendly and extremely helpful with dining choices etc.

Jonathon at the front desk was so cordial and welcoming. I stayed on the way to AZ and the way back because of him and how great our stay was. Clean room, comfy bed, and great area to walk dogs. Breakfast was very tasty as well.

We will stay here every time we travel through. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and easy! 10/10

Hotel is just off the highway. McDonald’s is in front of the hotel. Similar chains down the road. Route 66 is about a mile away. I ate at a local sit down restaurant by the name of Dell’s. Great selection of food. The spaghetti was excellent. You can spot it by the cow on the roof. I would recommend the hotel. Nice staff and room was very nice.

Nice and clean place to stay on the 40 Away from the highway noise

Convent location right off the interstate. Friendly and attentive staff. Rooms clean and comfortable.

Good location

I liked that a text was sent beforehand so we had little to do when we arrived. We checked out at about 5 a.m., but no one was at the desk. We got a text message at about 8 a.m. and marked that we had already left. Lots of eating options close by, and easy access to the highway.

Easy off and on the freeway. Not much for restaurants or places to get a drink in this town. Hotel was nice, people were great but doe to the lack of things to do we won't stay in this town again.

You had no real restaurants close. Only fast food.

The hotel was good for our one night stay. Just passing through the city.

The hotel building was okay, but breakfast was terrible and literally had no hot items stocked. All the pans were empty at 7:50, and they never restocked during the 30 minutes we were eating. We also had an episode of a couple dogs barking at 6:00 in the morning for over 30 minutes. Sounded like someone left their big dog alone and it was howling, causing the other yapper to bark in the hallway.

The overall stay was good. The motel was very clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was not very good. They were out of scrambled eggs and coffee. Had to wait about fifteen minutes to get both eggs and coffee. The elevator for the rooms was slow with lots of traffic from people using it to go up to the rooms.

Desk attendent refused to provide a paper receipt upon check out . Breakfast was poor quality, watery eggs with other guests complaining. Elevator is dirty and scuffed up. Won’t stay here again.

Probably the nicest hotel in the area but pretty old and not renovated. The coffee was also not good.

Checkin was fine. Room was fine. Breakfast was the deal breaker. The attendant smelled like she hadn’t bathed for a week including hair. She pushed down the garbage with both hands then proceeded to stir up the (cold) eggs and the ( cold) gravy without washing her hands. There was oatmeal packets offered but no way to prepare it. No hot water or microwave. This was our third and last stay here

All was great except the luggage carriers were not easy to use or stack items on. Also, it would have been nice to have juice available for breakfast.

The room was very spacious & clean the beds are comfortable the breakfast was good alot to choose from.

Excellent room, very comfortable bed, newer hotel. Breakfast was good. We had a nice view of the tall mesa by the interstate. Found a very good restaurant in the old downtown. Would definitely stay here again!
