I loved this hotel! It's beautiful, the people were very nice, and the rooms were lovely and clean. The bed was so comfortable! Breakfast was amazing and the view was even better. We also had dinner at the hotel since we couldn't find anywhere else to eat because there were no reservations available, which was fine with us because the food in the restaurant was great! my mom had the salad and the kraut salat tasted just how my oma made it so definitely has my seal of approval. The common room with the fireplace was so cozy. When I was there the embers were dying and I asked one of the ladies to put another log on. She said that the soapstone fireplace would get too hot so she said no which was fine but as I was sitting in front of the embers one of the men who worked there put in another log and the same lady walked in. I think she thought I asked the guy to put another log in after she told me no but I didn't! So if she reads this I swear I didn't pull a "mom said no so I'll ask dad." Nevertheless I can't wait to stay in Hotel Edelweiss again!

What a delightful surprise! The location was in the middle of town with a fabulous view from our balcony. Heated bathroom floors, spacious room, comfortable bedding and linens w real down comforters, excellent friendly service from hard-working staff and owners. Washer/dryer available for reasonable cost. Delicious varied breakfasts. A warm fire in the lobby. Everything clean and sparkling. Not fancy, but pleasant, fresh, and reasonably priced.

It’s an older property, but very well maintained and typical of a Swiss chalet in terms of rooms sizes and accommodations. The staff was very friendly as both the front desk and the restaurant. The breakfast buffet had an excellent selection. The restaurant also had many options for food, homemade, and amazing views on the patio!

Great location, clean and spacious room. Average included breakfast, but the restaurant was very good, as was the service. One disappointment was the self-service laundry, which consisted of a single, small washer and dryer which we had to pay 5 swiss francs each to use ($12.50 USD). We had to wait to use them and the clothes came out of the dryer still damp.

Ample and clean room. Average amenities. Towels were a bit tired. That said, the 5 star really goes to the view. Our room had a veranda with an unbelievable views. Breakfast had plenty of options. Would recommend and consider returning.

Hotel seems recently renovated and clean , we had 2 bathrooms one with a shower and one with a tub , front desk arranged our room key situation since we where checking in very late night also help with luggage transfer to nearest train station, dinner was very good also.

Location has great view in the back. Breakfast is nice also. Room is very small, no tissue beside toilet paper, no coffee maker or hot water boiler. Noisy at night as I can hear some kind of pump and boiler that goes on periodically whole night, and I can also hear people going up and down the stairs. I paid over 400 CHF for my 1 night, I don’t feel that’s of good value.

Owner was discourteous and downright rude when we requested to have our bags stored is a secure place. They had mixed up our reservation and made us change rooms midway through our stay. Also the food was poor quality for the price. The restaurant next door, the Alpina had much better food for lower prices. The view was outstanding but would try another hotel next time.

The room was perfect for 2 of us. Amazing view of the valley and mountains too!! The staff were amazing and very helpful, and the restaurant service wad top notch as well. I would definitely stay here again! SUPER minor thing but I would add a fan to the room (we closed the windows because it was raining quite hard and windy, so it got pretty warm at night)-- but that’s about it!

Great location, comfortable room, good restaurant. Wonderful view of mountains. However, one staff member (reception, woman, short dark hair) was rude and insulting every time we interacted with her. And unfortunately, that's the impression we'll take home with us. We won't recommend this hotel to anyone, because other Murren hotels offer good food and beautiful views of the mountains.

We had a nice room overlooking the alps. Gorgeous view! We didn’t have a balcony though. Lovely breakfast choices of all sorts with a nice view of the alps. Restaurant: Restaurant staff weren’t real friendly, but ok. Food ok. The room was very clean and nice; could have used a few more decorative touches. Overall, a nice place to stay!

The views from our room were spectacular. I mean, really amazing. It felt like we could just reach out and touch the other side of the valley. Breakfast was delicious. We booked this hotel with a few weeks to spare and were incredibly lucky to find it. The location is absolutely perfect in Mürren, perched right on the edge of the cliff with panoramic views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. The scenery is nothing short of breathtaking. The daily breakfast was phenomenal, with fresh breads, local cheeses, meats, eggs made to order, and great coffee, all enjoyed with an unforgettable view. You’re just steps away from trailheads for some of the best hiking in the Alps, including the North Face Trail and the route down to Gimmelwald and Trümmelbach Falls. The hotel is also a short walk from the Schilthornbahn cable car, making it very easy to explore Piz Gloria and the surrounding peaks. Mürren itself is car-free and peaceful, with charming shops and restaurants just around the corner. The staff was warm, helpful, and made traveling with a baby seamless. Truly a hidden gem. We would come back in a heartbeat.

We stayed for three days and this hotel was ideal for our purposes. The location is only a few minutes from the train station and a leisurely ten minute walk to the Schilthorn cable cars. The views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau were exceptional…you’ll never have a better view at breakfast. Furnishings and food were on the simpler side — we very much enjoyed our time.

Stayed at this property for 5 nights. The best thing about this hotel is the proximity to the Murren BLM which is just 5 min walk, also the gondola is 10 min walk and the Coop is 5 min walk as well. Hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. No AC. The rooms are good size and equipped with TV and coffee. Bathroom and shower was excellent. Daily house keeping. Breakfast is below average for US standards. The owners are nice people and say hello or goodbyes but don’t expect them to be friendly like most Americans would expect them to be! I would give this hotel a 3.5 star and definitely recommend it if need a place close to train, gondola and coop!

Getting into Murren requires you to take a series of trains and a gondola to get there, but so worth it. The town is quaint and lovely and the hotel is within 5 min walk from train station. We had a panorama view of the mountains, and it was amazing. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious.
