Wonderful. My only complaint was that the metal gates at the lazy river entrances are rusted out at the bottom and super sharp. It is a hazard for bare feet. Seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

So many pools. The adult infinity pool was just wonderful overlooking the golf course and nature. The lazy river was so much fun as well as the various slides. I like the fact that there were activates you would do. Live band was good as well.

I stay here every year and it is always an amazing experience. No one does hospitality like Marriott, and the JW Resort is just top notch. I enjoy the spa, the ladies there are amazing. Me and my family of about 80 spend every Thanksgiving here and always love it.

The resort is amazing! There’s a lot of pools and slides and fun activities for kids. My only complaint is the parking. They charge a parking fee but it’s so hard to find parking.

The idea of the place is wonderful. I took my 3 granddaughters, 5, 3, and 1 here on a mini vacation. The good: the children’s pool and slides were wonderful for all 3. We spent a whole day there. There was plenty of seating around all the pools. There were several options for food including 3 eateries, and room service - all priced as expected. The room was comfortable and accessible. Room service and housekeeping staff were pleasant and kind. The staff on checkout were great! The not so good - the two different women I dealt with at check in were flat out rude and have no business being in customer facing jobs. The self parking just sucks. Parking in sections 2 and 3 force you to walk up and down hill - with a family with wagons and strollers this not NOT convenient, not to mention that getting on the sidewalk while crossing the street was a challenge as there was no ramp access - meaning I had to literally lift the wagon with kids in it up onto the sidewalk while headed uphill - fun times. The family pool was constantly dirty. While I understand trees and such, have someone skim the pool. While we had a pleasant time, there is definitely room for improvement especially given the cost.

Enjoyed my stay for the most part, but I did not enjoy the ants in my bed. Got bitten a few times. Had to sleep on top of the covers to avoid being bitten any further. Brought it to the staff's attention after the first night, but the problem was not solved. At checkout there was an employee with bug killer on my floor. The person at check out said they had similar complaints from other guests that weekend. I realize with it being Labor Day weekend that there probably wasn't another room they could move me too. I basically tried to avoid my room as much as possible by staying by the pool. Would have been an awesome experience, but ants in the bed is a big problem.

Everything was great. We swam at the facility and were taken care of perfectly. The only thing is that maybe some different kind of cleaning supplies should be used. The room we were in smelled a bit musty.

We went on a very busy day. However, there was absolutely no parking. We were forced to use valet. Upon arrival we checked our bags so we could use the pool. When we got our room, the bellhop brought up our bags and we immediately noticed that a cell phone was missing from our bags. We called security, we filed a report online for their suggestion, we also called the bell service, and spoke with the front desk. Since I felt like there was nothing further I could do from my room I went down myself. We just arrived and I was trekking all over the hotel. I finally went downstairs and talked to the valet, just in case the phone fell out in the car, and as I was talking to the bell service, one of the bellhops that brought us the luggage remembered that he heard something fall in the closet. He said it sounded like a cell phone! So he and another gentleman went to go look in the closet for the cell phone. They came back and said they couldn’t find it. I went to the front desk to discuss it with them and they had the phone there. The place was incredibly expensive, that’s to be expected. However, paying $11 for a tiny dipping dots cup. That was also eight dollars from a vending machine inside seemed astronomical. Furthermore, we felt the lazy river could be much cleaner. At the end of the evening, I was surprised that they weren’t using nets to collect the incredible amount of leaves and debris that were floating in the lazy river both Friday and Saturday when we used it.

The food is pricy but worth it. The pizza is a must to get. Bring your own pillow. Be prepared for noise and kids everywhere. Very family friendly hotel but still some good areas for adults to mingle. The water slides/pool areas are very nice and clean. All of the staff is super friendly. Go early if you don’t want to fight over a tube for rides.

The pool area is large, fun and the views from room are great. 18 Oaks food excellent. Each person we encountered was nice, but would have liked better communication ability. Maybe the system is antiquated. It took a lot of menu choices and time to get someone on the phone to help you once on property. It’s a large property and you feel it. The phone in the room didn’t work. The beds were not very comfortable and the pillows are BAD. Bring your own! This was a major downfall, when I book a high end room I expect the sleep experience to be great and it was not just “ok”, it was kinda bad.

For the price, we expected a luxurious experience and our stay really missed the mark. It was so terribly loud everywhere in the hotel. Kids running up and down halls constantly. We couldn’t find a vending machine that worked. There was only one sit down breakfast restaurant so the wait in the morning wasn’t worth it. I think this hotel is a good option for families but wouldn’t recommend if you don’t have kids or want a restful weekend.

A/C was not working properly in our room. Really loud conversations out in the hall woke us up really early. Self parking was a very long walk. The resort had a golf cart out in the parking lot area and they did not offer to take me to my vehicle. Instead, they just let me walk in the hot sun. The starbucks inside the resort was closed by 3:30PM. Other guest were smoking in public space areas.

This is no doubt a fun spot for a family getaway, but I was disappointed with two things. The first problem was parking. You can pay $45 for valet or drive in circles around the parking lot for 45 minutes looking for a spot and maybe find something a 10-minute walk away. Really annoying when there's an empty parking garage right there and only a handful of public parking spaces. Secondly, this room was advertised to sleep 5 people but really only slept 3. There was a queen (great for two) and a full-size sofa pull-out bed (maybe fits two). The pull-out bed was so uncomfortable (you could feel every spring in the mattress and bar on the bed) my son ended up sleeping on the floor. That was rather infuriating (and ruined my ability to sleep) considering how much we paid for the room. Come on Marriott, you can do better than that.

Great hotel and atmosphere. Service fees, resort fees, fees fees fees are added to your bill the minute you arrive so be prepared. The beds are the absolute hardest beds I’ve ever slept in, they were so hard we couldn’t sleep. We were all glad to get home ti get some rest.

Great stay and great customer service from check in to check out. My family and I will definitely be back! We had a room right off the elevators and it was very noisy. I wish I would have requested to change rooms but we had already settled in. I won’t make this mistake next time.

This was such a nice stay! Daisy at the front desk was so welcoming and kind!! We walked to our room after check in talking about how that was the most welcoming hotel check in we’ve ever experienced. To our delight and shock, we came back to our room later in the afternoon to a kind note and goodies wishing me a happy birthday! Never had such a personalized and kind gesture. Thank you Daisy!!

Navigating the check-in process was a bit rocky. Initially, the first receptionist didn't request identification and promptly handed over our key after I stated my name. There was also a slight discrepancy regarding the length of our stay, which was quickly corrected. However, upon reaching our assigned room, we were surprised to find it already occupied. We returned to the front desk and spoke with a different receptionist who apologized for the error, explaining that another guest shared my name. She reconfirmed our one-night reservation and provided new keys. Unfortunately, these keys failed to grant us access to the second room. Finally, we approached the platinum/gold reception desk versus the regular receptionist line and Ken was incredibly apologetic. She acknowledged the inconvenience, generously upgraded our room, and thankfully, these keys worked. This series of issues was particularly frustrating considering our early 2 am wake-up, a 5-hour drive to the airport, and our arrival at the hotel around 3 pm, with a wedding to attend at 6 pm.

The internal phone system needs to be better. Communication- for anything mildly complicated - was problematic. For example, I left a hat in the golf pro shop after my round. That afternoon I tried to call the shop and couldn’t get thru, “out of order”, then “voicemail full”. Called the front desk to get thru and nothing successful. The next day, plans re. breakfast were changed immediately after we ordered room service. I clicked on the linked phone number to cancel my order and got “out of order” then tried 4 times to various property #’s. Had to go thru the front desk. Ultimately both situations were resolved, but I had to work extremely hard to communicate with different staff.

The mandatory bell service is very annoying. Both arriving and leaving, we were in a rush (arriving because we were only staying one night and wanted the kids to experience the pool) and leaving because I had just found out my dad was close to passing and I needed to get to the airport asap. Both times, we had to wait on the darn bellman with the dolly, which really upset me. Guests should have the option to take up their own luggage. It’s really offensive that this is not an option. The hotel was fabulous except for this one thing

We had a nice stay with some things you wouldn’t expect from an upscale hotel. First there was the checkin line which took 20 minutes. Then we were double booked into someone else’s room. When we went back to the desk, they seemed put off and treated us like it was our fault. No apology. No drink voucher or anything. Checkout also had a line. Food was mediocre and overpriced. Waterpark was great. Hotel was beautiful. All the common areas are loud and crowded.

The only problem we had was the walk from your car to the facility. When we checked in on Friday they had all kinds of golf carts taking up to the property but that was the only time . We left on Sat. Evening and had to park along ways from the facility and had to walk in the heat all up hill . Same problem when we checked out . Had to walk a long ways just to get the car .

I don't like was, the Hotel was not responsibility, the item I forgot , which I leaf the Hotel 10.30 am and I get home 2.30 pm , I called to said I forgot an blue shirt ( Blue shirt was there) and one hour later , I called back again and I said I forgot an Polo White shirt , and told me is nothing there ,(only was there the blue shirt short sleeve) I know 100 % I leaf there in the Closet . and for me was weird because the room was clean yet I understand is my responsibility, is my foul, for not make sure, I have all my Items . But overall was a great place , me and my son we got an wonderful time,, for sure we come back again. Thank you

I have wanted to visit this resort for a few years I finally decided to just book the trip. I am so glad I did. I had a wonderful weekend. The waterpark is especially my favorite. The room was cozy and clean. The service was wonderful, Ricky, the waiter at Cibolo Recommended that we go visit the farmers market at the Pearl and he was on point. The area is away from the city yet close enough to get to if needed. We got to see a Doe and her baby. There is lots of wildlife in the area, which is really nice as well as walking trails. I highly recommend this resort!

The resort and service were amazing. The food at River Top was amazing. The food at Cibolo moon restaurant was not very good, way over priced for the quality of food. We had dinner and lunch at the Cibolo moon, both times the food was not good and cold.

We enjoyed delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, from the brick oven pizza to the incredible omelet station at Cibolo Moon. No matter the time or how busy the hotel was, we never waited longer than 15 minutes for a table and every single staff member we interacted with was personable, professional, and seemed genuinely happy we were there. Our room was comfortable and incredibly clean. Whether we spent time relaxing in the room or out on the beautiful grounds, we were never disappointed. In fact, what luck - we visited during their Backyard BBQ, when several inflatable toys spread out on the lawn for the kids, great live music artists played toe-tappers that got everyone singing along, and served delicious BBQ as yet another dining option at a hotel swimming in them. Speaking of swimming, those cabanas are worth the price and emotional spiraling. We took our time getting out to the pool on Saturday and learned our lesson, miraculously finding a single pool chair for our family of 4’s things. Not that we spent any real time at the chair… the lazy river held our attention for several hours, with a little help from the delicious Pina coladas served river-side. Funnily enough, we live 15 minutes away from the hotel and came for a little family staycation, but this was the best experience we’ve had in a plethora of travels. We’ll keep an eye out for the calendar and be back for some incredible lemon scones & fun! Thank you, JW Marriot Hill Country and staff!!

Had a great little spring break road trip to the Hill Country! Resort was everything I expected. And yes - I expected the food and drinks to be ridiculously overpriced. When you're a captive audience, I guess you have to pay what they charge, right??? I think Marriott can do better.

Everything was amazing! The food was great and the people were amazing. Kudos to the4 Pizza guys making pizza. They were slammed Saturday. They were so calm and polite to each other getting all the orders out! They were really fast! All the waiters out by the pools were so friendly and the food came out quick.

The toddler pools were great for under 6 year olds. The sand pool was a big hit with very shallow water. The kids loved playing in the sand. The lazy river is only 3 feet deep so easy/safe to manage little kids. Another kid pool with small slides and shallow water was a big hit. Good family vacation for those with little ones. On site food options very expensive.
