Aloft by Marriott Tallahassee Downtown

Didn’t know it was being renovated when we booked. Normally it’s great, but this particular stay was inconvenient and sometimes noisy. Water was shut off in hotel before going out for the evening and trying to get ready. Elevators were especially slow due to construction crews using them also. There was banging noise while trying to rest and nap. I’m sure it will be good again once it’s done.

Great location. Clean. Pet friendly. Friendly and super helpful staff. Shuttle to many restaurants nearby!

The hotel had all of the comfort I anticipated. I was traveling in a large group, and we all enjoyed the facility. I was disappointed that we could not use the pool.

This place exceeded my expectations. It was clean and modern. My only issue was an additional $15 per night for parking that wasn't mentioned in the description or prior to me booking. Other than parking. Id book bere again. It was clean safe beautidul and quiet. 😍

All in all it was a nice place to stay on downtown Tallahassee. Perfect location for us to get to FSU and be able to walk to nice restaurants. A very nice area. Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable and shower was nice. Only complaint was paying $20 per day to self park in their parking lot right at the hotel. And bar seemed very overpriced. One small glass of wine and 1 shot of Malibu rum was $30.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is great and offers a lounge setting in the lobby that made the perfect hang out. Plus the 24/7 mini Starbucks and grab and go snacks!

Very nice hotel. The only issue was the active renovation taking place, somewhat loud and messy near the elevator area. If it was not for the renovation work, I would have given 5 stars.

The downstairs was excellent. Bar, pool tables, polite staff. First we were told that they only had a room The room was not up to my standards. All we heard all night were loud engines for cars. Bathroom light. No lights above the bed. 1 light turned every light on. And 1 hub for charging was all the way across the room. I’d never stay here again. Maybe to visit. Not stay.

Loved the bar and pool table area for an after-dinner drink!

Clean room. Had safe for valuables. Hair drier in room. Hard floored instead of carpet. Just be aware that you get charged parking on your bill and should NOT “pay by phone” for parking using the ParkMobile app. The parking lot had a sign with instructions to pay through the parking app but the hotel also charged me for parking. Had to bring it to their attention.

Smelled very dingy in the lobby. Also didn’t love the location.

The room was not vacuumed well. Dirt and trash between furniture and on the floor. Not enough towels. Only two. No extra blanket. Only one thin coverlet on the bed. No shower shelves. No adjustment on the pressure. Only wide open. Toilet paper holder broken and just hanging. Staff had just propped it up. When you touched it the roll fell off. The Livy area smelled. I’ve stayed in this hotel numerous times since 2009. It has never been this bad. Definitely time for a facelift or new management. I will not be back until then!

The staff was friendly and polite. The hotel is kept pretty well. The room was clean except the toilet- it sure if they just forgot. Good thing I always bring Lysol wipes. The AC in room 413 was very loud and kept me up on the first night almost for 4 hours until the noise settled down some and I was able to get rest. I brought this to the attention of the staff and they said they would follow up with management in reference to the AC and cleanliness of toilet. I also filled the complaint with Marriott on line and they as well have not followed up.

Room was very clean

Very noisy-can hear outside traffic and neighbors easily. Smoke detector chirped twice during the night and continue flashing every 5 seconds for the next two nights. When I called the desk to report this, I was met with a short tempered response. Bathroom countertop was thoroughly cracked with sharp edges exposed. Overall, I was looking forward to staying at Aloft, but came away disappointed.

The hotel and staff are great, unfortunately almost impossible to sleep street facing room. The street is very, very noisy till around midnight and starting very early morning which provides very little quite time. We had no chance to compare room faces a parking lot, which we booked but from some reason we got assigned the room facing the street.

The hotel was nice, just would have been nice if they offered complimentary breakfast for the amount you pay a night. Also paying for parking is insane to me seeing as though we park ourselves it’s not valet. The room was clean but the beds are not very comfortable. Overall it was nice not sure I would go back though.

This hotel sits on the corner of a busy intersection and doesn’t have great sound proofing. The hotel is very basic and a bit overpriced for what it is. Even the DND door tag is made of paper not hard plastic. The bed feels like trying to sleep on a piece of plywood which meant no sleep for me. The TV is set up as a streaming TV so you need to come with your own logins or find a free app. But even then Netflix and Prime didn’t work and they said they were aware but don’t know how to fix it. You are a Hotel you should have cable! People above stomping. In hall slamming doors. No ice machines you have to go to the lobby to get a bag of ice. No microwave. Mini fridge doesn’t get cold. No central A/C, it’s a radiator with a thermostat on the wall that gets VERY loud when trying to sleep and either makes a banging noise or sounds like you are at a rave at night. NO RESTAURANT even though they misleadingly advertise that. It’s an over the counter bar food order to go. Carpet dingy. Lights didn’t work like intended.Lights by bed didn’t work. They charge $15/day to park. The Pool is small and looks like something a motel 6 would have. Book of Mormon in the room was offensive. The Bible is universal even the Mormons use it. Book of Mormon is a specific religion and putting one in the room is in poor taste. Only 2 positives. Some of the staff were wonderful and tried to help with what they could. Free shuttle to FSU. Overall I would not stay here again.

Nice hotel with comfortable rooms. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately my room was very noisy. From the loud road racing right outside my window late at night, police and emergency vehicles, and later my neighbors who shared the adjacent door and kept their TV on until late into the night I found it incredibly difficult to sleep. Even a comfortable bed can't help when the room is too noisy :(. This location is also going through construction so parking is limited an the lobby is a bit of a mess. That being said, I'm sure it will be beautiful once the work is done.

Best location in Tallahassee in my opinion--close to FSU, Capitol, Downtown--walkable to many restaurants. If I had to reach for a complaint, there was a bit of street noise but it didn't prevent me from sleep. Thanks for a nice stay!

Everyone at the hotel is very friendly and helpful. However, this is the noisiest place I have ever stayed. The walls seem to be made of paper. I could hear the people on one side of my room talking all night. The people in the room on the other side could be heard opening/closing their blinds.

Our room was facing Monroe street & we were surprised that it was terribly noisy.

It has an odd sliding door for the toilet and shower area that won't stay shut and the AC is very loud. It had sort of a dorm room vibe - nothing was wrong with it exactly but it wasn't a very comfortable place to stay. The staff was lovely and friendly and helpful. The location was great.

Beatiful room. Traffic was noisy.

The hotel was good with nice room design & decor. The only thing that slightly spoiled it was the AC unit in the room. It was so noisy, hot or cold, I had to turn it off.

Not only was my stay wonderful, but the staff was amazing! After I left I realized I left my earrings in the room and Emily and Rodrigo helped me file a lost item report, found the earrings and shipped them out to my home in Miami in less than 24 hours. I am forever grateful for their kindness and assistance. Would highly recommend staying here!

Excellent staff! We enjoyed a friendly, professional, lively atmosphere at the Tallahassee Aloft. We would absolutely stay there again.

The lady at the front desk when we arrived went above and beyond to make our stay perfect after a 16 hour drive.

With the exception of the morning coffee team, I got the feeling i was bothering them, especially the front desk ! Facility was well designed but was showing its age .

I've stayed here many times and always have a positive experience. Mikayla at the front desk was super helpful and cheerful, but not to the point where it was too much after a long day of travel. The hotel is trendy, comfortable, and clean. Parking is easy. They allow pets, which I love to see when I am away from mine at home. Overall, I'd drive a little further to stay here over some other options in the area. Perfectly situated if you have business at the courthouse.

The hotel is nice with a trendy vibe. But it is located downtown and is extremely noisy all night long. We didn't get any sleep. Also has a big lounge area that was busy all night.

Best location in Tallahassee in my opinion--close to FSU, Capitol, Downtown--walkable to many restaurants. If I had to reach for a complaint, there was a bit of street noise but it didn't prevent me from sleep. Thanks for a nice stay!

Very convenient hotel in Talahassee

Great location!

This is probably one of the only and best hotels downtown in Tallahassee near where we needed to stay. It was fine but very basic. The room was tiny and arranged a little bit strangely. Bar was great and a nice surprise

We loved that it was so close to everything and that it was pet friendly, The staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast restaurant was wonderful

The aloft team were very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable, warmly greeted and felt at home. Little cafe does a nice job with breakfast and coffee. Bar and lounge area are fun.

I bought I prepaid for breakfast, but then got charged again. There is a limited breakfast menu, and it wasn't really great.

This was a pretty good hotel. Being really close to the main road, it was a bit noisy. The shower was hot, but the water pressure was meh. Bed was super comfortable. TV was great. Food options were just so so. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I think it’s good for one person or a couple, but I wouldn’t say it was a good fit for a family.

A very nice, modern Aloft. The eatery staff was amazing, the food selection, though an additional cost was worth the fair prices. Completely out of the hotels control, you should expect sirens and loud cars throughout the college town. Everything else was great and made that a small detail.

We stayed on the 3rd floor street side, very noisy, last time was given an option for city side not this time. Stopped by the bar for a lite snack, took 30 minutes to get chicken fingers and fries, that's a little excessive but i still like the place and will probably stay again it is very convenient to that are of Tallahassee.
