Hot tub was out of service, no wifi available, everything nearby closed at 8pm so not much for food options. Breakfast was pretty non existent just toast and cereal. Rude hotel staff. Bed was comfortable though

The property and grounds were in good condition. Not many residents overnight which may have attracted more if it weren’t for the indoor swimming pool has been shut down.

The hot tub does not work... Hasn't worked in years, yet they still advertise having one. The shower head had one only 1 of the three options worked and the counter in the bathroom was falling apart. The bed was clean and comfy. AC worked great!

There are definitely repairs/updates that need to be done. The pool was nice because it was heated, however, the room the pool is in does not look anything like the picture. It is in bad shape and needs repairs, paint, new fire sprinklers. Stuff from the ceiling was floating in the pool. The hot tub was closed so we were unable to use that. The mechanical room door was open which is a safety hazard. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. The bathroom sink would not drain. The batteries died on the door card reader and we could not use our card to get in. The TV would not work so we got someone to help us and they got it to work, but the next day it wouldn't work again. Breakfast was ok, but no protein options (not even yogurt); it was all carbs and apples. The most important thing is that we had a bed to sleep in and it was clean.

Room was gross, walls were dripping with something. Beds were stained and stunk, found a zynn pouch under the mattress. Bathroom was far from clean. The hotel also refused to give us a refund. Had spent another 200 bucks to move across the street.

I had an ESA dog with documentation and I was still charged $20 for her. We got to our room and found stains on the bedding and the carpet was wet. I asked her if the carpet was just cleaned and she didn’t know. Our bathroom shower rod was loose on one side and the shower curtain kept sliding open and the water kept coming out of the tub and going onto the floor. As a person who has mobility issues if you have trouble with tubs, it’s probably not a good idea to stay there. I personally made the mistake of renting the room and not a handicapped one, but she did show me a handicapped room but it still had a tub ( not a walk in shower ). I told her that there were stains on the comforter and She said that I could change my room but since I had paid through a 3rd party I would have to pay for the new one. I seriously thought about going somewhere else but we were so tired from traveling. When we woke up and I opened the curtain and I really saw how bad the chair was stained. I thought to myself and they have signs up on the front desk asking for a 5* review? The breakfast ( biscuits and gravy) had absolutely no flavor and was cold. I hardly ever complain but my husband and I both agree that we will not be staying there again. I never leave reviews but I had to leave this one.

There was no digital thermostat, just dials to control it, so it was hit/miss getting the temperature correct. The window curtain overhangs the unit so the fan blows up the curtain instead directly into the room Need to hold it back with a shoe or other weight. The curtain itself is old and worn thin in several spots. There is no lightweight curtain in-between it and the window, so you can't have privacy without the room being darkened. There is only 1 small trash can so had to share that between the main room and bathroom. The outlets do not securely hold plugs, do my charging cords were not always charging. The towels were "clean", but were dark with old stains and there were thin spots from probably hundreds of washings. This place needs new linens in a bad way. Wall paper is separating at the seems and is not clean. All-in-all, this is a tired old hotel. The rate for 2 nights (Fri/Sat) was the best I could find in Luverne and I had stayed here before, so I knew what to expect. However, this place needs a complete updating.

The bathroom was not very clean. Hair on the counter and on the floor (behind the door). Bathtub was not very clean. Shower curtain was hung on backwards. Floor towel had black stains all over it. Kleenex box was empty. Refrigerator was wobbly and difficult to open as it was too high for the cabinet it was in. Beds were very comfortable! Breakfast was good with a good variety of choices. For the price of the room, it was okay.

Absolutely gross smell was unbearable mold so health risk. It was absolutely disgusting front Desk tried to put me in six different rooms and every single one of them the sheets/bedding were dirty. Staff said she wouldn’t even stay in there herself we left waiting on the refund

Property is very outdated. My room had a very bad odor. Somebody had puked in the back stairwell and nobody cleaned it up while I was there. I only had three hand towels in my bathroom. When I went to the desk to get them, instead of handing me a couple of regular towels which were right there, the gentlemen said he’d bring them to my room. He followed me to my room and then handed them to me at my door. It was really weird… Breakfast was included but the fridge was empty (no milk or yogurt) so no cereal unless you eat it dry. The juice dispenser didn’t work either. I had my water bottle with me which was good because there was NOTHING to drink. On top of it, it was $98/night! I’d drive the extra 30 minutes and stay in Sioux Falls in a Marriott.

The staff was friendly. It was an older hotel, but it seemed like a clean hotel. The on site washer and dryer were handy, as we unexpectedly needed to use them. I didn't care for the pillows, as they were quite small. No one in our party liked the breakfast.

I knew going in that this was a budget hotel, you certainly get what you pay for. The staff was excellent, but the building was very old. If you don’t mind putting your head on a pillow and listening to an archaic air conditioner at night, then this is the place for you.

This is a very dated hotel with worn furnishings. The wifi was not working and the person on duty did not know where the router was in order to try to reset it. The bed sheets had stains and breakfast was minimal. I would not stay again.

There was no manager on site. The front desk refused to work with us for a better room or let us speak to the manager, pool was dirty, the front desk came to the room at midnight pounding on our door, doors did not lock. There was no shower curtain in the room and was told to hang one ourselves. Wifi dropped every 2 minutes and tv didn't always stay on. Checked out early after all these issues and requested a refund but they aren't accomodating.

Close to a couple of locations that we wanted to check out in the Luverne, MN area. One good restaurant on Main Street in Luverne. Three or four more places to eat just north of I 90 on MN Hwy 75. Incredibly large collection of nutcrackers in the history center on Main Street.

Good hotel with a lot of options in the area. Right next to a Kwik Trip and some small eateries. The pool was small but was right for my children. Hot tub was out of order but otherwise, the room was comfortable and the breakfast wasn't bad at all.

This is an old, tired hotel. Window coverings have (moth?) holes. White towels are "clean" but grayish in color and some with stains. No stopper in the sink so risk of losing a contact or other down the drain. Shower head is rusty. Carpet is dirty. TV reception is generally poor. Free breakfast is a nice offering but I've never seen eggs that look so artificial. Was afraid to eat them.

The bathroom was not very clean. Hair on the counter and on the floor (behind the door). Bathtub was not very clean. Shower curtain was hung on backwards. Floor towel had black stains all over it. Kleenex box was empty. Refrigerator was wobbly and difficult to open as it was too high for the cabinet it was in. Beds were very comfortable! Breakfast was good with a good variety of choices. For the price of the room, it was okay.

The staff was friendly. It was an older hotel, but it seemed like a clean hotel. The on site washer and dryer were handy, as we unexpectedly needed to use them. I didn't care for the pillows, as they were quite small. No one in our party liked the breakfast.

Facility was nice, older but kept well. Staff was very friendly. The breakfast was a bit sparse. Some yogurt, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages etc would have been nice. Overall a very good place to stay.

Our toilet ran all night and the shower head needs replaced. Water was pouring out of it instead of spraying. Room smelled of smoke. But a cheap convenient hotel option for a quick nights stay. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was modest, but better than nothing. Pool area was nice but hot tun was out of order. Check in was quick and easy. Again, acceptable for the cheap price.

Property is very outdated. My room had a very bad odor. Somebody had puked in the back stairwell and nobody cleaned it up while I was there. I only had three hand towels in my bathroom. When I went to the desk to get them, instead of handing me a couple of regular towels which were right there, the gentlemen said he’d bring them to my room. He followed me to my room and then handed them to me at my door. It was really weird… Breakfast was included but the fridge was empty (no milk or yogurt) so no cereal unless you eat it dry. The juice dispenser didn’t work either. I had my water bottle with me which was good because there was NOTHING to drink. On top of it, it was $98/night! I’d drive the extra 30 minutes and stay in Sioux Falls in a Marriott.

The was clean but the carpet felt wet. Food was ok but had no eggs just waffles gravy and bisects. I will make sure the next time I book that I can get the room I wanted. I paid for a king bed and asked for it on the first floor. When I got there I had a queen size bed because all of there king were on the second floor.

Positives: friendly and responsive staff, convenient location. Negatives: terrible smell in room, very musty and damp, almost couldn't believe how bad the smell was. The other real negative is that they have cut back on what's included in breakfast. No eggs, no sausage, no yogurt, not even any peanut butter packets for the toast.
