The rooms are in desperate need of a deep clean. Otherwise, the kids had a fun time in the pool, and playing games on the computer in the business center. We stayed in a King suite. It was a bit small for a family of 4, but we brought a cot for the 2nd kid and made the best of it. The breakfast was also very good.

Hotel was clean with friendly staff we asked for linens for pullout bed and they checked three floors to supply them for us, hot breakfast for free wish they had bacon, there was no meat option. Elevators were fast and easy to food options. Is some construction outside for convention center but was fine. Pool towels available, water could be a lil warmer but not bad, unfortunately there was a kids party that came in shortltvaftervwe started swimming and we couldn't enjoy. O really we would stay again, hickory was nice to visit and this was close for the volleyball tournament.

Our stay was amazing! The staff was so kind and friendly! Our room was perfect, too. It had plenty of room and was very comfortable. Breakfast was great! We stayed for a week and breakfast never got boring. There was something different almost everyday. The pool was indoors and heated which was a huge bonus for our boys. Everything was exactly what we wanted and needed for our stay!

Found out once we got in the room that we would have no water from 9am to 4 pm for 2 days, unacceptable. Construction noise was terrible starting at 8am. Heavy highway noise from interstate in front of hotel. Shower head had heavy leak had to shut bathroom door to not hear the constant dripping. Cleaning staff was extremely courteous.

I stayed here for 3 nights in January and it was a great stay. The room was nice, the halls were wide and well-lit, the staff (especially the man at breakfast) was friendly, and we enjoyed the exercise room and pool. All around a great stay and we will consider staying here again if we're in the area.

Check in staff was wonderful. Disappointed with cleanliness of bathroom. Toilet seat had dried pee on it. Everything else seemed clean. Hopefully it was the only overlook while cleaning.

Liked the property generally clean and orderly . Nice as that’s what we expect from Hampton inn. Bathroom shower had some mold/mildew around the escutcheon plate for the grab bar bit other than that it was pretty good. Would stay again.

The bed was like sleeping on a brick. The very idea of going to bed and sleeping involves lying down on a "soft" comfortable mattress so you\'ll be comfortable so you can go to sleep. These mattresses made for a very unpleasant stay for all of our group( 3 rooms). We all talked about the rock hard mattresses the next morning. Guess how many of us have sworn off Hampton Inn--6.

Convenient location. The hotel was very clean. Our room was facing the major highway so it was very loud with traffic. Also renovations were being made to the unit above us and the contractors were hammering and banging around at about 8 AM. We notified the front desk on departure. They said the construction was not supposed to begin until 9:30, he offered to pass on our dissatisfaction to management and he was very sympathetic to our experience.

Most of the staff we encountered were nice and helpful, but not all. The breakfast items were very good and plentiful and different each morning. The room was clean but dated and had old, mismatching furniture. The bathroom was similarly dated and worn. The housekeeping and related service was nonexistent. First, we were informed that room cleaning happened every other day. On our third day there, while leaving our room at 0900, we were asked by housekeeping staff if we needed new towels and replied Yes, please. When we returned in the late afternoon, the room had not been touched and no towels had been left. I went to the front desk to discuss and the male employee asked if we left the do not disturb sign on the door. Not, "I'm m sorry, let me get someone to take care of that," just "I can give you some towels." Another example of poor service ocurred when I requested more toilet paper (since the room hadn't been cleaned or restocked) and was told to come down to the front desk and pick them up. Wow, thanks! Customer service in general has gone to crap, and this hotel exemplified that.

Room was old, and depressing. It had the smallest TV of any room in the last 15 years. It looked like they hadn't updated the bathroom in about 20 years, the shower door fell off when I slid it. Don't count on free breakfast, it was the worst I've had. Watery eggs, gray water they called gravy, and some gray mystery meat. I had a banana that held me over until I could find some real food.

Our new favorite. We’ve stayed at numerous hotels the past 3 yrs of traveling to Hickory, NC to see our son at Lenoir Rhyne University and this one is going to be our new “usual”. They’re consistent; check-in is smooth, quick and friendly. When we get in, the last thing we want to do is deal with a check-in wait or issue and having a clean & SUPER comfy room at a very reasonable price, is one last thing to worry about. In a great location to the Univ, Moretz stadium, restaurants, grocery stores & gas stations, on top of a complimentary full breakfast is worth every penny and more.

Check in staff person was great and allowed us to check in early, that was great. Breakfast staff was very friendly. There was some type of construction occurring on the floor above us, noise, drilling, squeaking sounds & hammering before 7 am. I told the checkout guy they should have let us know, he did not seem interested and while walking away said he would tell the manager. Won’t stay there again.

The staff was the highlight of the trip. The breakfast buffet folks did a great job and were very friendly. I was at the property for a tennis tournament and developed a fairly painful blister. I asked the front desk if they had a band-aid, and Sara and Sam went out of their way to get me a few band-aids and also a wrap to keep me on my feet. Outstanding service!!! The remodeled rooms were also fantastic, featuring numerous power outlets and USB ports, as well as a massive television. Well done!

The young woman that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. We needed certain accommodations for our mother in law we were traveling with. The staff was great. Chef Williams who took care of the breakfast was top notch. He came out of the kitchen and tried to put a smile on everyone’s face. On would constantly walk around the dining area and try to help everyone and clean the tables off so the customers wouldn’t have to get up. Midnight staff was friendly and made sure the coffee was fresh. Hotel was clean and comfortable.

It was clean, staff was professional, and overall great. My only complaint was breakfast not a lot of hot breakfast options. Not saying the quality was bad but would have liked more then 3 options. Other then that great and the breakfast staff was amazing too!
