The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The restaurant / bar has an eclectic selection of international dishes and beers, as well as local options. If you don't fancy eating in, there are half a dozen restaurants less than a 2 minute walk away. There's a post office next door and a kombini / convenience store on the corner. They even have a currency exchange machine offering a competitive exchange rate. It's very well located only 2 stops from Shinjuku station, with trains every few minutes. The rooms are tiny, however that means they are nicely chilled after only a couple of minutes of switching on the air conditioning. The mattresses are very firm, and the toilet paper is so thin you can see through it.

One of my favorite stays in Tokyo. Affordable and is really close to a train station. Close to Shinjuku and Shibuya. Yoyogi Park is a nice walk away too. Most staff speak/understand English. Their cafe is 24/7. Will probably stay again next time. Thank you Sakura Hotel!

Nice size corner room with two windows. Compared with other business hotels it was rather spacious. Really nice breakfast with soup that changed daily and nice to get some toast as well. The 24 hour cafe on the ground floor with wi-fi helped make it a nice place to relax.

The best place to stay for convenience & affordability. One stop away from Shinjuku station and a few minutes walking distance to your satellite station from the hotel. So many stores & restaurants around the area that you can also just walk to. We stayed in the Japanese family room, which consisted of 4 Japanese futons. It was a bit uncomfortable for me so I had to stack one futon on top of the other but I expected it being that they were not actual beds. The room was small, but perfect for a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 children) considering you’re on vacation to be out of the room for most of the day. I always try to look for a room that has at the bare minimum a mini fridge, microwave & kitchenette - this room had it all. They give free light breakfast, they have a 24 hour cafe in the hotel, they have a laundry room, smoking booth outside, tables & chairs outside, and much more. This will definitely be our go to hotel every time we vacation in Japan!

Small hotel with everything that you need. Stayed April 3-5 with my 3 sisters. The bunk beds were comfy, clean sheets and towels. I love that they provide you with robes, slippers, in addition to all toiletries and you have a small fridge, coffee pot, microwave, etc. there’s a mini mart a few steps outside. The breakfast, although it’s just tea/coffee and bread with soup of the day, it’s sufficient to get you started. The staff though very little English are super nice and helpful. Everything was clean and proper. I would stay again.

Really nice hotel for the price, the manager is really nice man who made us feel very welcome & resolved a problem we had with our room instantly. The rooms are generally small but we didn’t spend much time there. There is the Hatagaya station literally round the corner from the hotel & easy links to the main parts of Tokyo. A lovely bakery on the main rd where we picked up bakery items for lunch, hotel has a laundry area which was handy. I would recommend this hotel.

Wow I really loved this hotel and I loved Hatagaya. It\'s a pretty quiet area away from the throng but the hotel is 3 minutes walk from the station which is two stops from Shinjuku. It\'s kinda perfectly located. Complementary breakfast is rudimentary but a great way to meet other guests. Oh, and there\'s a 24 hour bar downstairs that somehow doesn\'t get rowdy. All staff were excellent and helpful. Ig I had to pick a negative.. the list is pretty small? "Nicos Coffee" around the corner makes perfect espresso and "Nihao" up the street was divine gyoza etc.There\'s a great path for running, pretty little park, cute streets etc. I\'m definitely staying here again soon. I loved it.

The staff here have been courteous. I have ordered dinner at their cafe at a really late hour and it was super convenient that they were available to serve close to midnight. They also let me bring my food and tea to the room. There is a washer/ dryer room for 300 yen. That was helpful to be able to wash my clothes there and not go very far. It's also walking distance from Lawson, a convenience store so I was able to get snacks and water bottles. Room was decent and clean. I liked the air conditioning/ heater unit and the double bed was pretty comfortable. No complaints.

シングルルームに連泊しました。 バスルームの便器周辺床？に染み付いた尿臭がキツく気になりました。他は、 料金に見合った設備が整っていましたし、 スタッフの皆さん、とても親切でした。 ミネストローネスープと美味しいコーヒーの朝食、良かったです。

Das Sakura Hotel Hatagaya überzeugt im Punkt Anbindung, da die Hatagaya Station und eine Bushaltestelle nur 3 Minuten Fußweg vom Eingang entfernt sind. In unmittelbarer Nähe befinden sich ebenfalls Family Mart und Lawson. Das Frühstück geht von frühmorgens bis 11 Uhr und kann daher je nach Tagesplanung auch von Langschläfern in Anspruch genommen werden. Einzig die Auswahl der Speisen könnte vielfältiger sein, hier hat man nur den klassischen Toast mit Belägen und eine Vielzahl an Getränken. Ein gekochtes Ei gibt es gegen Aufpreis dazu und es besteht die Mölichkeit ein traditionelles Japanisches Frühstück zu erwerben. Das Zimmer war recht klein für zwei Personen, was bei japanischen Hotels allerdings normal ist. Den Koffer musste man somit immer auf dem Bett öffnen. Störend war ein Balken, der aus nicht nachvollziehbaren architektonischen Gründen direkt vor dem verschiebbaren Teil des Fensters in den Rahmen eingearbeitet wurde was das öffnen des Fensters erschwert hat. Die Dusche war etwas klein, aber nutzbar. Leider gab es am Duschvorhang ein wenig Schimmel und es lief keine Lüftung, sodass es sich rät, nach dem Duschen direkt die Tür aufzumachen und das Fenster weit zu öffnen. Alles in allem für den Preis ein okayes Hotel.

Our stay at this hotel was okay however we found it to be very dirty, the carpet was stained, the curtains were stained and it looked like it had not been cleaned. The bed was really hard when asking the night staff for an extra pillow they refused; the guy who was working on March/23/2025 was rude and not welcoming, he had little to no customer service skills. As well, it's on a separate line that you have to pay extra to get into the central part of the city. Not worth it- book a different hotel.

The hotel is situated in a nice and quiet area only 2 train stops from Shinjuku station. The staff is very friendly. There is a free breakfast and they provide shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the room. We found a very nice walk near by , it has a lot of cherry blossoms. The room was very small , it was tricky with 2 large suitcases and ceilings are very low. It is a bit old but very clean and only 2 plugs in the room. There is a warning when showering as the steam can trigger fire alarm.

This rating is for the 2 star hotel classification (non-western hotels). Room size: 3/5. Mattress: 2/5 not comfortable. The entry way is very narrow and the door is short. Can feel claustrophobic at times. Bathroom size: 3/5 (comparable to several 2 and 3 star hotels). No bidet (1/5). Very nice faucet and shower head. Staff friendliness and customer service: 5/5 Amenities: 5/5. Mini fridge, coin laundry, ability to call taxis, the free breakfast for guests, and safe luggage storage. Microwave available in the cafe as well. Elevator! So many 3 star hotels don’t have elevators which is difficult when traveling with heavier luggage. Many free of charge rent items for use, just ask. Can you find another affordable hotel option that can give you a decent 1bed 1bath space for their rate? It’s tough to beat on such short notice in my opinion.

Staff was very friendly, room size is about what you except but you won’t be staying in your room for that long anyways. I recommend if you’re planning to explore Shinjuku/Shibuya area, there’s a train station just around the corner and it’s only 2 stops from Shinjuku station.

My favorite stay thought my trip. The beds were uncomfortable but I figured they would be as I booked a traditional style room with mats on the floor. Otherwise, the staff was just wonderful, there was laundry by the office and everything you needed in that room! Everything is so close by including the station, and if you book here, be sure to try the bakery with the black label on the corner and the soy ramen across the main road hiding up the stairs (also sells tacos). I do not remember their names but I can guarantee they are the best! The ramen was the best ramen I had throughout my whole trip. I cannot rave enough about the staff and stay at this hotel! Book it, you will not be disappointed!

良かった点: 幡ヶ谷駅から近い。ホテル周辺にコンビニや薬局などたくさんのお店があり便利。 残念だった点: 部屋の中で電車の音がけっこう聞こえ気になって眠れなかった。朝食にたんぱく質食品が無く残念。

Excellent hotel. It is small, but so is every hotel in Japan, but at least this has a excellent AC and a nice bathroom. The only issue I had was there\'s a young guy who works in the night shift, he\'s quite rude. I asked him for weight scale for luggages and he made a face, acted rude, and handed it to me like I don\'t deserve it. Excellent hotel. It is small, but so is every hotel in Japan, but at least this has a excellent AC and a nice bathroom. The only issue I had was there\'s a young guy who works in the night shift, he\'s quite rude. I asked him for weight scale for luggages and he made a face, acted rude, and handed it to me like I don\'t deserve it. Loved the area, and more importantly the staff were just wonderful. They helped us communicate with local businesses for reservations due to language barriers and also provided us with some great dining recommendations. The area was so quiet and chill. A perfect place to stay to escape a little bit of the noise in Tokyo and feel embraced by a local, authentic energy.

My favorite stay thought my trip. The beds were uncomfortable but I figured they would be as I booked a traditional style room with mats on the floor. Otherwise, the staff was just wonderful, there was laundry by the office and everything you needed in that room! Everything is so close by including the station, and if you book here, be sure to try the bakery with the black label on the corner and the soy ramen across the main road hiding up the stairs (also sells tacos). I do not remember their names but I can guarantee they are the best! The ramen was the best ramen I had throughout my whole trip. I cannot rave enough about the staff and stay at this hotel! Book it, you will not be disappointed!

The staff was very kind and the hotel had an adorable tradition of gathering recipes from their guests. The location is close enough to all of Tokyo without being too close! The rooms are small by western standards, but if your getting a hotel in Tokyo hopefully you already knew that.

My stay at Sakura was great! Pamdey was a very friendly and helpful front desk staff who spoke English. The area was safe and only one-block walk away from the nearest subway station. Sakura Hotel Hatagaya was a convenient place, close to many stores, restaurants, and transport links. On top of exploring the nice local area, I could walk to major areas like Shibuya. The staff was very friendly and helpful (such as with my luggage transportation) and the property had everything I needed. I can confidently give Sakura Hotel 5 stars, and would stay again.

Staff was very friendly, room size is about what you except but you won’t be staying in your room for that long anyways. I recommend if you’re planning to explore Shinjuku/Shibuya area, there’s a train station just around the corner and it’s only 2 stops from Shinjuku station.

We got what we wantted. Location wise, it’s near Shibuya, and just 2 station away. The train station is less than 5 mins walk. It has a family mart nearby, so does a great Noodle Store.A quiet place and has a small park nearby as well

Wow I really loved this hotel and I loved Hatagaya. It\'s a pretty quiet area away from the throng but the hotel is 3 minutes walk from the station which is two stops from Shinjuku. It\'s kinda perfectly located. Complementary breakfast is rudimentary but a great way to meet other guests. Oh, and there\'s a 24 hour bar downstairs that somehow doesn\'t get rowdy. All staff were excellent and helpful. Ig I had to pick a negative.. the list is pretty small? "Nicos Coffee" around the corner makes perfect espresso and "Nihao" up the street was divine gyoza etc.There\'s a great path for running, pretty little park, cute streets etc. I\'m definitely staying here again soon. I loved it.

The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The restaurant / bar has an eclectic selection of international dishes and beers, as well as local options. If you don't fancy eating in, there are half a dozen restaurants less than a 2 minute walk away. There's a post office next door and a kombini / convenience store on the corner. They even have a currency exchange machine offering a competitive exchange rate. It's very well located only 2 stops from Shinjuku station, with trains every few minutes. The rooms are tiny, however that means they are nicely chilled after only a couple of minutes of switching on the air conditioning. The mattresses are very firm, and the toilet paper is so thin you can see through it.

Nice size corner room with two windows. Compared with other business hotels it was rather spacious. Really nice breakfast with soup that changed daily and nice to get some toast as well. The 24 hour cafe on the ground floor with wi-fi helped make it a nice place to relax.

Small hotel with everything that you need. Stayed April 3-5 with my 3 sisters. The bunk beds were comfy, clean sheets and towels. I love that they provide you with robes, slippers, in addition to all toiletries and you have a small fridge, coffee pot, microwave, etc. there’s a mini mart a few steps outside. The breakfast, although it’s just tea/coffee and bread with soup of the day, it’s sufficient to get you started. The staff though very little English are super nice and helpful. Everything was clean and proper. I would stay again.

Only two stops from Shinjuku Station which is handy. Nice staff, good they offered toast and tea for breakfast. Was clean and modern. Close to family mart and seven eleven. Great for exploring Tokyo would recommend.

The staff was very helpful and nice. The rooms were spotless and the air conditioning worked fantastic. The shower was small but manageable. It was a quiet area, we slept great. The breakfast at least for us was not great, we needed more food. Overall, we would stay there again.

Hotel is nicely located just a five minute walk from Hatagaya Station, giving you good access to the rest of the city. The surrounding neighborhood is cozy with a couple convenience store just steps out the front door. A shot walk also to Yoyogi Park and a couple of lovely shrines. The front desk staff was ever present and courteous. The free breakfast mostly consists of coffee, tea, juice, and some toast with butter and jam. Enough to get you started on your day. We stayed in the “Japanese style” room. It’s comfortable and utilitarian with a small kitchenette. You are susceptible to outside noise from trucks and other passerby’s from behind the building but otherwise, a good base for active sights. All in all, a good value proposition.

This hotel is absolutely delightful! Location wise you are one street away from the train, and the surrounding area has supermarket, convenience stores and eateries. From the moment you enter the staff greet you with lovely smiles. The rooms are spotlessly clean and have all you need (yes small but we are in Japan) and the breakfast is plentiful with toast, drinks and miso. The cafe is delicious! (we ate there three times during our stay and every dish was so good) I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough; it’s perfect!
