It’s a nice hotel with good service. It lacks modern day amenities like a swimming pool / gym but does have included wifi, breakfast and evening reception. Parking (also no charge) is a bit tight, especially if you have a larger vehicle.

Great location. Easy walk to everything in the main tourist area. Restaurants, shopping. Clean, nice staff. Underground Parking is a little tight . If you have a big truck, could be a tight squeeze

Bathroom caulking around tub nasty and needs replaced. Look as if an 8 year old did it. Floor tiles also need replacing. The room and the rest of hotel very nice.

Nice place but...just bit pricey for what you get, and don't get a room street side if you can as it's kind of noisy. But the worst thing by far is the parking situation. Their parking garage is small and spaces very narrow and close together. Have fun parking if you have a larger SUV or truck. I can see several scrapes on cement pillars where people have scratched their cars trying to squeeze into a parking space. For the parking situation alone I doubt if I would stay there again.

This place is very convenient and within walking distance to everything. We were upgraded since to a river room since it was a slow night, which was a nice gesture not that we used it in winter. The reason for the 3 stars is because it was one of the worst noise ( for a slow night too) I’ve ever had in a hotel. My husband and i barely slept because of the noise at night. It sounds like someone was stomping their feet in the halls and above us. The doors would slam every time someone would leave their room making it very difficult to sleep. The room next to us sounded like they would hit the walls which would wake up us from any sleep we actually got. I’ve never had this type of experience in a hotel. I cannot imagine what it would be like on a busy night. Love the people who worked here and the location. But if you need your sleep, I wouldn’t t recommend.

We paid for an upgrade fee to get a river view. Walked into the room to find no windows. One door with secured blinds so you couldn't open them beyond 1/4". Only way to see the river was to crank the heat to 80 and have your door open

Bed was comfy. Breakfast was decent, although average. No exhaust fan in bathroom. Location to area attractions was superb! Liked the room with balcony facing the Cass river. Nightly happy hour 5-7pm. Each guest gets 2 free drinks (beer or wine) and charcuterie snacks. We went 1 of 3 days. So much to see and do.

Had such a pleasant one-night stay at the Marv Herzog Hotel! Two details I'd like to applaud.... The breakfast attendant checked the breakfast hot trays for temperature correctness, appreciate that they care about standards! Also, when I lost my room key, the front desk attendant followed respectable safety protocol to make sure my ID was checked! Such wonderful staff. The simple but wonderful "happy hour" with crackers, cheese, fresh veg, etc and drink options of Pilsner or wine is such a nice touch. And the breakfast selection is 10/10, too! GREAT coffee! Biscuits and gravy, waffles, yogurt, eggs, potatoes.... Would absolutely recommend this hotel! Room was comfortable and clean.

Just returned from girls trip to the Marv Herzog in Frankenmuth. Couldn't have been happier with the Marv. Staff was great especially Missy at the front desk and Jenny is the breakfast room. Breakfast was delicious and the evening reception was just the thing before dinner. Highly recommend

The only complaint was checking in - and not just with us but I noticed others having the same issue. When we walked up to the counter but there was no one at the front desk. My wife and I were talking as we waited and after about 4-5 minutes I tried to call out to a man who was folding sheets in the laundry area in the back. Only then did a young woman come around from behind the wall to check us in. As we were leaving the hotel this afternoon a man was standing there in the same situation. He looked at me and I told him to call out for assistance and immediately they came around the corner. I believe a simple bell to ring would fix everything. The young woman was very friendly - just needs to stay out front or have a bell. Wonderful staff - clean place - and loved the history of the hotel!!

Very nice staff! Room was very nice. So quaint and relaxing. Very nice location and walkable to so many shops, sites and restaurants. Breakfast is lacking though and the only thing I could find any fault with.
