Hampton Inn & Suites Parsippany/North

There are repairs going on and there are lots of storage units stored where cars are supposed to park, making it difficult to park. The lock to our room kept getting jammed so that was a hassle we had to deal with, but the staff was understanding and accommodating.

Pool was nice.

Room was ok, it was a room with kingsize bed and workdesk. There are doing renovation outside the building and have plastic sheet on the windows. The problem with this is the night I was there it was very windy and these would make alot of noise. There is also a issue with the elevator that make it you need to call the front desk to go down.

Everything was great accept the parking due to renovations being made

It was a convenient location from the event we were attending. Easy in and out parking. One of the elevators wasn’t working at all and the other elevator had to have an attendant on it to make sure if anyone got stuck, they could get help. We had to walk up and down the stairs. Also, the call button on the 4th floor didn’t work so we would’ve had to call downstairs to get the elevator.

Most important: it was quiet. Halls, guests and housekeepers were quiet -- no yelling or banging of doors. Beds were comfortable. Large TVs, On the negative side, there was often not enough parking for all guests if you arrived back later in the evening. While there was a nice selection of teas in the lobby, along with decaf and regular coffee, the coffee and hot water in the lobby was always tepid, never hot. The urns were either defective or not turned up hot enough.

The room was filthy, dust, cobwebs, and a cockroach behind the pillow. We did not stay here and will be seeking a refund.

Great for overnight stays, room and bathroom were very clean

It was 10pm by the time we got to our room. My wife pulled back the covers and found hair on the pillows and sheets. We called and asked for new bedding. They brought up sheets for the bed and nothing else. We asked for new/clean bedding for everything. The guy brought the rest. We had to strip the dirty bedding ourselves and upon trying to put the new bedding on realized they brought us queen for a king size bed so we had to call them again to bring the right size bedding. The breakfast was ok but the sausage links looked like vegan.

Place was extremely clean. Staff was pleasant. Would definitely return.

Dirty room, never cleaned during 3 night stay. Towel bar broken off, leaky shower, dirty carpet, stained. Broken elevator, breakfast area was dirty, food was not fresh.

Elevators were dirty. Girl at desk for check in was sitting in the lobby drinking coffee with her back to the desk paying no attention to job. Mattresses were shot/worn out. Drain in shower and other areas were rusting, no bath tissue holder. TVs were not smart TVs and outdated. Breakfast was free and should have been free. Very limited choices, no oatmeal just grits. This is in NJ not Alabama. In need of major reno!!

This is one of the nicest properties we’ve stayed at lately. The room was very spacious and clean when we arrived. Also one of the most comfortable beds as well. This will be a place we will use every time we travel up north.

The room was well appointed however the ac/heating control was NOT user friendly. It was either too cold or when I tried to change the temperature of the ac it turned to heat. I ended up with a soar throat and now a cold.

The room was very spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. Breakfasr was better than at most hotels. We definitely would recommend this hotel.

Wifi was hardly working, as we had a room at the end of the floor. Apart from that it’s a nice hotel, pretty close to Newark

The double queen bed room was okay.. matresses were okay. A lil saggy...could definitely use an upgrade. And our room did not have a microwave or mini fridge. I feel like. For a $150.00 room it could at the very least have a microwave in room...granted there was one down stairs in lobby. But noone wants to stager down to the lobby to heat up leftovers at 2am.. In a pinch it was fine...

Excellent Executive King room with living area and small kitchenette. Spacious and easy to access. Great breakfast and comfortable facilities. Would definitely stay again. Was there for a golf trip with friends and we all stayed.

Overall Hampton Inn&Suites is a good hotel. The rooms are nice and clean, breakfast is good. I stayed in it on multiple occasions. However this time around I had terrible experience checking in. It always one person/employee who ruins companies reputation. Anyway I arrived on Sunday at 2 PM. (I was able to check in before 3 PM on previous occasions) The front desk employee told me that my room is not ready and I should come back after 3 PM. I said "OK no problem I will come back at 3, please make sure my room is ready. When I came back at 3:10, the same lady told me that she needs to check with the cleaning personnel and disappeared for the next 15 minutes. I was still standing there when she reappeared and with no apology she started paying with the computer. Another 10 minutes passed and I finally asked "What\'s going on is there a problem?" (these were my exact words) This simple question trigger such an anger from the "hostess". She started screaming at me, something about new system (which is never true) and how I need to be patient. Another front desk employee heard the screaming and came out from the adjacent room. She introduced herself as a trainee. She apologies for the inconvenience right away and started calling the manager (she told me later that evening when I saw her). The manager came in about 1/2 hour and graciously told me that my room is not available and that he is giving me an upgrade.

I knew that guaranteed check-in was 3:00 PM but I arrived earlier than expected (10:30 AM) and asked if any rooms were available. The front desk clerk said rather briskly that I wouldn't be able to check in until 3:00 PM. "Check-out isn't until noon, and then the rooms have to be cleaned." I said "I understand that but some guests check out early. If, as you say, Housekeeping personnel start at 900 AM, aren't they already cleaning rooms that have been vacated by guests who left early? Since I'm already here, couldn't I get into one of those rooms? She said - "You don't qualify for those rooms. You booked through an outside firm (Expedia). All of the people who booked directly with Hilton are ahead of you." I said - "But I'm Hilton Honors." She said that doesn't matter. You booked through Expedia." Without going thru the rest of the conversation, she made it clear that people who book through outside firms are "less than" her other guests. It wasn't just what she said. It was the way she said it. I've only booked a few hotel stays thru Expedia, and have been satisfied...until now. I didn't realize that booking thru an outside firm put me in a different class of guest. End of Story - I left the Hampton & checked into a nearby Best Western Plus...a beautiful hotel with professional, friendly front desk staff. And yes, I ate the double cost. It was worth it.

Our visit started with a quick and easy check-in. The following morning, we were told our 16 lb dog is not allowed in the breakfast area (never had this problem with other hotels). We were also admonished for not declaring our dog at check-in (Our dog was present, on a leash, as we checked in). For the most part, the hotel staff was curt and cold. The cleaning staff, on the other hand, was very good. The free breakfast was not as varied as we have experienced at other hotels, but there were some choices and it was clean.

There was only one person on duty when we arrived. There was a bug in our room on the ceiling that we could not reach. He was so busy with check ins that it was hard for him to help us. He did the best he could but there needs to be 2 people on duty at all time. Also, our toilet was making noise but they fixed it the next day.

We could not check in since they couldn't find our confirmation. After a long conversation with Expedia who contacted the hotel, they eventually arranged a room for us. Quite stressful experience after a long drive from Canada.

The stff were extremely hospitable and customer service focused. From the front desk assistance to the maintenance staff who helped jumpstart our car, everyone was a pleasure to speak to and gave excellent service!

Hampton Inn & Suites, Parsippany provided an exceptional experience. The hotel's location in relation to the event we were attending made it an ideal choice for our needs. We highly recommend this hotel to any traveler in the vicinity. This accommodation offers an exceptional overnight stay experience.

The room was clean and quiet, the staff were very friendly and responsive and the free breakfast was ample. Very nice not to have to leave the property for a morning meal. Getting an Uber to go to daily destinations was always easy. Sometimes there was not enough hot water for a shower, especially in the evening, and getting around on foot near the property wasn't really possible due to lack of sidewalks and crosswalks.

Great location off I-287 and I-80. Pool is nice, beds are comfortable and location is quiet. Breakfast also better than expected. Ideal for access to Parsippany, Mtn Lakes or Denville.

Hotel is clean and safe. They were doing some remodeling so our windows were covered. It was a bit far from the "action". Elevator was having issues.

I was excited for the breakfast. We came early and the main part of it , which is the waffle area was closed just cause “ they run out of the mix “ . It’s embarrasing. Everyone was trying to make some since it’s the most interesting thing they can offer. Coffee was empty . No white bread. Disappointed at it.

Hampton Inn has been consistently satisfactory in the past. The coffee maker in the lobby didn't work, thus no coffee. Coffeemaker in room did not work. Breakfast choices dismal. Fruit was far from fresh. Only one serving spoon to be shared for eggs and homefries

Very clean hotel and one of the best morning breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. Staff was very helpful! The indoor pool it a nice touch.
