Great for business trip with free shuttle ride to locations in Sandton and wonderful deck on 6th floor of Sun side for breakfast, restaurant and bar. Also, it is directly connected to the Sandton City Mall on 6th floor, which provides for convenient and safe dining and shopping options. Strongly recommend !

It is in a very safe and convenient location. A major shopping center is right next door. The staff are incredible and the facilities are good and well maintained. Meals are great too and they have a nice lounge and bar near the pool side that gets quite busy

First time staying at the hotel (although have been to the bar and restaurant many times before), and definitely the most convenient location in Sandton. The renovations have been fantastic, and have really modernized the hotel. The breakfast spread is amazing, and generally it is everything one expects from a hotel of this nature.

the property is good and staff are great but there is this silliness of booking three adults becomes 2 adults with 1 kid as a result you get this family room on the 10th floor right above their deck restaurant and each night there is booming music ... we did not sleep at all for the entire stay .. Beds are tooo small and two people cannot share easily, pillows are old and tired and soooooo uncomfortable All in all the place is nice if you dont want to sleep

1. Our room door lock bolt was broken - door had multiple holes for the latch- indicating that somebody had tried to fix it before. After a couple of tries, the latch broke. 2. The hotel does not offer complimentary snacks with drinks. 3. Ordered a tea pot and English breakfast teabags since the teabags were missing in the collection period. I usually drink in which breakfast tea in the morning and even though I requested teapot and teabag to be delivered around 11 PM, the night before they were not. 4. Rooms felt smaller ! Good parts: Great gum and great location next to shopping center.

I have never stayed in a hotel that every box was checked excellent. The ladies in the restaurant were amazing to see every time I visited, housecleaning was first class, the desk people at reception from the time I arrived to the hotel until the time I checked out were first class. I have traveled to more than 100 countries and have never encountered this level of excellence. Our company will use this hotel for all of our teams traveling to this area. The last comment is the manager was engaged. He was making sure his customers were satisfied and was very pleasant to work with.

The housekeeping was all done by the daytime, but every night there always another one came to knock door and asked for housekeeping, disturbed me a lot! There was one nihgt she knocked while I was showring, I said "no need housekeeping" but she just open the door and that I had to put on towel and asked her to get out!

This hotel is aspiring to be upscale, and does so with it's service, but the actual facility is practically falling apart. The hotel room door would not lock, the drain in the shower was clogged, we only intermittently got hot water. The bed was very comfortable and the place was clean.

Hotel was rather busy when we arrived and the entrance was chaotic but all the staff were very charming, efficient, welcoming and warm. Our room was spacious and clean. Service was great from all staff members at breakfast and in the bar in the evening. We had a great stay and would certainly return.

Excellent hotel with super helpful staff attached to a high end shopping mall. I would highly recommend this hotel. Just be aware that there are two separate hotels connected with an overhead walk way. Our cab dropped us off at the Sun and we were staying at the Towers. The staffs at both hotels took car3e of moving our luggage and guiding us to the correct hotel.

Sandton Sun staff were friendly and helpful - this is big improvement from previous visits. They didn't make it look like it was a chore to be of service. Well done to management. What I didn't like: I ordered sole for dinner under room service and it was not hot or well cooked. Even the mash was cold... Other than that, it is a great hotel.

The room was amazing. However the responsiveness of front desk was not professional. I requested for a technician to fix an issue with the TV, no one came until I called again the next day. I also requested a shuttle or transport to the airport and the gentleman at the front desk was not so pleasant and so wasn’t surprised the next morning when in fact there was no booking made. Not sure if he judged me as someone not fit for the hotel or not but definitely I am not amused . That being said , the gentleman who welcomed me on my arrival was very pleasant and professional.

This is what a 5 star hotel should be. Nothing is too much trouble, assistance and service on hand at every turn. We have stayed at other supposedly 5 star establishments but the Sandton Sun eclipses them all. Friendly knowledgable staff and superb facilities throughout. Some of the fittings are clearly quite old, hence my 4 star for that section but it has no impact on the functionality. What makes this hotel so special is the quality of the staff. They are clearly paid well and have a grace and genuine will to help.

Great experience all round. Very well run establishment. Great hosts and excellent value for money. room well equipped with everything form a proper coffee machine to lindt chocolates. breakfast was perfectly prepped and served by an extremely well trained waitron team. front desk gents were helpful and tended to every need from parking requests to extended stay. will definately return.
