There was a spot in the hall that looked like someone had thrown up and it wasn’t cleaned well. And the pool was green. And it sounded like people were street racing around 10:30 until about midnight. Other than that the hotel was nice, breakfast was decent, and the staff was friendly.

1st Room: TV broken; 2nd Room: AC broken; 3rd Room: No soap to wash hands, no shower gel, no conditioner, shower door slides completely open during shower, spider webs & bugs behind door. Notified manager Heidi next morning. Heidi assured me that head of hospitality would take care of issues & Heidi says she would comp points. After room was cleaned, the spider web & bugs remained, as did the overflowing trash, and there was still no soap at the sink. The trash was emptied the next day & soap was placed at sink. A large roach was near the AC & remained there even after the room was cleaned. At check out, the spider web, bugs, & roach were still there. The night clerk was clueless, nice but clueless. Ice machine was broken on 4th floor. The maintenance guy had quit. All questions answered by night clerk was "I don't know". I have not received any points as promised by Heidi.

Check in was good. Staff was nice. Having elevator issues but not all things are avoidable but can definitely tell this hotel is pet friendly because my room smells like a wet dog. My room was nasty.

The property is in close proximity to restaurants and Walmart. Staff did not ask for an ID off the front desk and decided to wake us up which was no problem for me. But being that my wife has a heart problem and they demanded to see her with her ID I thought it was a little ridiculous not to mention. their boyfriends hanging out on the back patio and trying to get my niece to come over and talk to them she’s 13 they are grown man. And oh it was the desk clerk birthday tomorrow at 4/20/24 she is very excited I am going to be are,lol. and when she asked. bug in the shower. Back door left open for their boyfriends to go in and out of.

Room was clean and tidy my favorite part about my stay was the cat outside the hotel lab lobby! I asked the receptionist about the cat and she told me his name is Max and that the hotel had paid to have him neutered so that they wouldn’t have a bunch of cats around the hotel. It was really nice hearing that the hotel cares about the cat so much.

Hair in our bedding the main bathroom downstairs was getting neglected by cleaning staff. The staircase was neglected with bugs on the floors. Unfinished construction in stairs & paint droppings in carpet. In their defense they have been slammed by Hurricane.

First impression is a musty odor that is very noticeable in the elevator and in the room. This by itself is not a deal breaker, but we had to kill several bugs in our room during our 1 night stay. Have never had to do that at a Hampton Inn, anywhere else. The beds seemed fine (wouldn't have stayed if they weren't) but cleanliness in the room was obviously lacking, especially the bathroom. The lobby and main areas were cleaner than the room, including the lobby restroom. We were appreciative though, when a young front desk staff member went out of his way during check in to to help us find a roll away bed. We won't be staying here again because of the creepy crawlers but that young man unknowingly saved the brand.

The hotel was full of mold and mildew got sick from being there. We asked the lady at check in about the mold smell she lied and said no mold. We had to move to another hotel because the other 2 rooms smelted like mold that they tried putting us in. The guy told us when we left they were renovating because of the mold!

Family of 5 adults booked a room for 5 adults (mom and dad with three young male adults all 6’3” or taller and over 200 lbs). Got a room with two queen beds. Not what we booked. We expected a room with a pullout couch which did not exist on the property even though that was what was on our reservation. Extremely uncomfortable.

It was ok. It had a weird smell. The room was small and the lighting in the room was really bad. Beds were not comfortable nor big enough for a family of 5. Warning you must leave the bathroom door shut while showering otherwise the fire alarm will go off. The steam in the bathroom set off the alarm in our room. The staff was really helpful though.

The staff was very nice very courteous they asked me if my water was hot enough because they've been having issues with that but it was fine. I was getting ready to get in my car I was a little rushed because we were going to go down to matagorda Bay by the ocean or the golf anyway I got a rush I thought I got everything as I was getting in my car the maid ran out of the side door and gave me my phone charger which I very much appreciate it because it's a special phone charger that charges my phone faster than a normal one so she ran all the way out there to give it to me she must have seen me out there and ran down to give it to me so and I was on the third floor so I was very grateful for that

Pleasantly surprised! They were voted the best hotel in Bay City last year and I can see that. The breakfast is very good— eggs, sausage, potatoes, even hard cooked eggs.

I was not aware that breakfast was not part of my stay, had to pay to eat. Also housekeeping did not clean out room all weekend and was not offered clean towels, had to reuse the ones in the room.
