Motel 6-Front Royal, VA

Came here because it’s affordable, easy access to the National Park, and dog friendly. My dogs loved staying there and they even have a doggy area in the back with poo bags, etc. Walking distance of gas and food place. Very nice lobby and staff, along with free coffee in the morning. Staff were welcoming. It is VERY basic, but it does the trick and felt comfortable there. Will return.

Things started out ok but when we were getting ready to shower there were cockroaches in the sink, tub, refrigerator and desk. Parking is a nightmare and no large vehicles would fit. We had a Dodge Challenger and it now has front end damage from the wall to get out of the motel. The alleyway that you are forced to go through is maybe meant for a Mini Cooper. When we asked for money back, night audit was rude and started yelling at us like it was our fault. Luckily we did get a full refund. Never going to stay here again.

The property was clean and well lit.

The lobby had a very weird smell to it and the place was dirty and was desperate for a vacuum. My room was ok, but there was a stain on the sheet and the room was very musty. Parking was excellent though and there was a very good Chinese place across the street. Check out was no-touch and very easy.

The hotel was fine, nothing fancy. Clean and quiet. It did have a large yard for grilling and pets. And it is indeed pet friendly.

Beds were horrible and hard. Used towels left in room. Sent us around the back with a trailer. NO ROOM. Too tired to care

Rooms have microwaves, refrigerators. Property has laundry on sitd. Rooms renovated. They need to provide iron and board for customers as well.

There was mold on the ceiling of my bathroom and I had a sinus reaction. I just completed a treatment to remove mold exposure before this stat and I’m very disappointed to have been misled about the condo on of this space which resulted exposure to visible mold. I am requesting a refund.

The bath tub was not scrubbed. It still had soap scum that I could scrape with my nail. Other then that it was ok

We just needed a place to sleep as we drove through. It was clean, hot showers, and quiet. The staff was very nice checking in and out. The beds could use and upgrade they are not very comfortable. But we slept good. It was quiet until the morning, but we were getting up anyway. Our room was right by the steps to go upstairs and the door to the lobby so we heard kids just being kids. We would stay again.

The price is good and the hotel is quiet. The problem is they have roaches.

The staff was friendly and the area was quiet. We were there on Easter weekend and there seemed to be very few guests. The one major issue was the floors. I don’t think anyone has mopped anywhere within the motel in a long while. That includes the floor of the bathtub, which suddenly appeared clean in one spot after the bar of soap fell and was retrieved. I explored the motel and decided that the dirty floors in our room were consistent with the floors in the common areas — especially the room with the ice machines. The walls and doors were equally filthy. It did seem as if other cleaning WAS happening though. Only the floors seem to be constantly skipped. Also, the bedding was thin and the pillows left a lot to be desired. All in all though, I’ve stayed in worse places for more money, so I’m generally happy with my visit.

Checked in. 5 min later they refunded our money. Walked into bathroom and turned light on. 4-6 roaches scattered. Had to drive 45 min in wrong direction for another hotel. No idea about anything else. ROACHES

For the low price, I can't complain to much. However, I experienced two air conditioners (I believe they swapped it during my stay). The first was loud enough to wake me up when it kicked on. The other lowered the temp to around 80-deg. One morning the water from the shower was cold.

The beds were very uncomfortable. The lady at the front desk was rude and unfriendly. The neighbor was very loud all night . You can hear everything thing through the walls . 2 stair cases were unavailable to use . The pipes scratched and made noises randomly the whole 8 nights we were there. The toilet ran constantly. They took the dirty towels then did not put the same amount back then try to say you took them upon check out so they can keep your deposit . I reserved to rooms the door knob in the one room was broke and the floor was literally coming up . We will not be returning there . I do not recommend this hotel.

Overall decent priced motel with some nicer amenities/updates. Area seemed quiet. Beds were a bit hard and uncomfortable, but alright place if you need a place to crash.

Really good place to stay for Shenandoah and close to Winchester. Room was recently renovated with new tv, mattress, furniture etc. staff very friendly and helpful.

Hotel had no hair dryer, no shampoo and only a small bar of soap. The air-conditioner made a loud noise, we asked for another room and the TV didn't work.

That was a bad decision since the check in was everything a nightmare they weren't able to find my reservation finally the front desk staff got it they assigned a room for me #139 and the cigarette smell was disgusting they change my room the bath tub was burned with cigar and the bathroom had old soap left from other customers, the next day I left the room to do something and when I got back my card was blocked to open the room and I when to the front desk and there was the owner and He never try to help also charge me again to open my room for me, And he refuse to give me my receipt after I payed he told me I'll give you your receipt after your checkout I'll never recommend this place. (Large of weird people around all the time)

The room was clean yes. But they are not a hotel to stay at if you have small children, my kids were just playing and the front desk kept calling and then came to my door to complain about it and they were not even that loud. Also if you want to have visitors to come see you forget about that, they won’t allow that either unless you pay extra. Due to them complaining about my 4 small children I had to leave 2 hours after checking in. Waste of time.

I was required to place a $50 deposit on the room and then leave before it was refunded based upon the evaluation of the staff so I insisted that someone come and evaluate the room before I left and refund the deposit. That was not disclosed in your ad and I don't appreciate it at all.

This place has really gone down hill. it was never that nice of a place but at least the lady there at night was nice previously. When we went to check in she gave me an attitude because I requested the same room on the corner that makes it easier on my girlfriend to walk up. she has issues walking. we were put in a room in the middle of the motel even though I had previously requested in writing when booking the stay. Then the toilet backed up I asked for a plunger for the toilet, and was never checked on to see if the problem was fixed! The toilet would take forever to go down. we booked 2 nights, and were out the following day, upon returning the 2nd night we needed towels because of needing to use some from the toilet and went to the desk and no one was there! I went back over 4 times within an hour and no answer! I called 4 or 5 times from the room and no answer there either! the following morning I went back needing towels so we could both take showers before leaving and the man at the desk hands me 2 towels! also with an attitude. This place is unreal! For several years we would stay here for our getaway to the area. It will NEVER happen again! Avoid this place!

You get what you pay for, the manager was nice, place was conveniently located and love the fact we could have our dog. Good place, good location.

This is a great location!

Sweet little motel, it was very quiet. Shower head in one room wasn’t the best but we survived. We had two rooms and was happy with both. Close to McDonald and Walmart and walkable to Sheetz gas station. AC nice and cold. We would stay here again.

Good owners. No tables in the rooms which hurt me for interviewing on Teams etc., but price of rooms make it a great place. Location is great. Walking distance to the pizza restaurant of the Melting Pot restaurant is great. The Melting Pot not only has the greatest pizza in the state, but also the number one privately owned pizza restaurant on the entire East Coast! The crispy pizza is so great that people from California have it shipped to them! Great motel, great bargain and great owners make this one of the best Motel 6's in the country

The building is unexpectedly new and large, no breakfast, but it in walking distance to a Chinese restaurant, a convenience store,Popeyes.....very convenient

I was quite pleased, in the past hotels in Front Royal have been pretty hit or miss. Clean, quiet, neat, decent bed. I stayed 2 nights, was up to work on a property we own outside of town. Note that there is no breakfast and just powdered creamer for coffee, but a Sheetz is within easy walking distance.
