I can't believe it – the smart TV isn't smart at all. It can't connect to the internet, and it doesn't have any apps like YouTube. When I tried to connect the smart TV with my phone via screen mirroring, it did not work. I called the custom service and they told me that you can only connect the smart TV with Android, not iOS. Is this a smart TV? Come on! Is this a five-star hotel?

Really great. Hotel building and room were pretty much perfect. Next door to the MTR station, with trains every few mins and lifts to ensure it’s all accessible. Also connected to a huge mall. Harbour view room was excellent and the views were incredible. Worth paying for. Pool really nice too, and quiet despite being surrounded by other buildings. Frustrating that we were once told the pool needed to close for a couple of hours due to storm warning when there wasn’t a cloud in the sky, but think that’s more of an HK-wide thing rather than this hotel. A few small issues that the hotel could improve: check-in desks need one queue line. Having 3 separate ones meant that we were stuck behind someone who took a while, and others who arrived long after us were seen first. One bigger issue was the service at Sugar bar, where we ordered a Cosmopolitan and were served a drink that included orange juice. We explained to the waiter and another colleague (possibly manager) that it should be cranberry, and were told it’s their twist, including cranberry and orange. It didn’t taste good so we asked if they could make a normal one just with cranberry. They said yes, that of course they had cranberry juice, but what was produced and delivered by a different member of staff was even worse, including grapefruit juice. He also revealed they didn’t in fact have any cranberry juice. Not great to lie to your guests, and I suggest you learn the cocktails on the menu.

Fantastic modern hotel in Tai Koo Shing, with friendly and helpful staff, great amenities, including a pool, gym and rooftop bar. Also ajacent to City Plaza which is handy. The room is spacious for Hong Kong. We stayed in a corner room, which was actually smaller than the urban double we stayed in previously.

I picked East hotel mainly because of its convenient location, it's right next to the MTR station, and it's connected to CityPlaza. The room was kept clean, attentive services by courteous staff. However, I found their mattress too soft for my comfort. Also, their semi-open bathroom/toilet setting means you wouldn't be able to share a room with a friend. But overall, I am happy with my stay at EAST hotel.

Shower room was moldy, frequent cleaning is required and cleanser for mold removal is essential. Air conditioner was not cool enough ....once technician disassemble filters, they were full of dust and this affected ventilation, once they changed a set of new filters my partner and I felt a bit better ......but it was still hot in room so we ended up asking for a fan.....and thanks god we slept well with the fully function fan. Hotel room was generally good despite of above problems....the room was bright, clean, furnished with high quality furniture and electrical appliances. We will love to stay again....if the air con problem is solved. Public areas like corridor, lift lobby, swimming pool and gym are extremely tidy with good customer services. Last but not least I highly appreciated all East Hotel Staffs made my wedding anniversary staycation great.

We really enjoyed our stay at the East Hotel. Our high elevation corner was excellent in terms of functionality, aesthetics and its marvellous mountain and harbour view. The maintenance of the room (daily cleaning etc) was outstanding.

Near MTR easy access to transportation. Next to the mall, convenient to shopping, foods, gifts etc etc. The design of the bathroom/ restroom is made of glass, if you have a friend visiting you, able to see what you are doing!!!

The hotel had poor soundproofness. I could hear guests talking and walking outside the room. I lost a lot of sleep and that caused me to oversleep. The staff gave me an ultimatum rudely to check out at 1pm or pay up for an extension of for $2000. Won’t stay there again.

I highly recommend East! We had a beautiful room in a beautiful hotel. Love the plentiful hot water, hand held and rain shower heads, very comfortable beds and pillows. All room controls built into the nightstands. All staff members were polite and very helpful. All our needs were met with an easy elegance and we enjoyed our stay. The woman providing housekeeping on our floor was sunny and efficient, detailed oriented. The breakfast buffet at FEAST has many offerings and while pricy, the foods was fresh and tasty. We particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit and BBQ bun. The view from the Sugar bar/lounge is wonderful and worth seeing. The weather was chilly during our visit so we did not visit the pool area. The hotel is very conveniently attached to CityPlaza Mall and we accessed the Island Line train from the station located there.
