Best Western Plus Palo Alto Inn and Suites

Elevator out of order. Shower leaked causing high humidity in room. Sheets felt moist.

Found no working vending machines. Computers in business center were inoperative; manager said waiting for service. Painting of outside wall ongoing. Luckily one of the painting workers said where I parked was next and I should move if I didn't want aerosoled paint on the rental. Found the employees service and the room to be very good.

Hot tub wasn’t working but other than that great location, clean rooms, upgraded to suite free of charge, great full breakfast buffet.

The motel was infested with small black ants. My wife and I killed at 100 of them in the bathroom and on the desk in the room. And there was no less than a thousand of them in the pool area. The ants were not the only issue. The elevator was of of service, the jacuzzi was not working and had exposed electrical wires on the timer, and a car had its back window smashed in, in the parking lot. Would not recommend staying.

The hotel is easy in and out for San Antonio. They have a workout room that is small and all machine are not working. It would not take much to fix these machines.

Stayed with kids, room and restroom was clean, no issues at all , all the staff was super friendly, the breakfast was good , the area is safe & plenty of restaurants around , about 25 mins away from six flags so that wasn’t bad, they also have an indoor pool so that was a very convenient since it was raining 2 of the 3 days we stayed

It was good pillows n bed was comfy only complaint is big machines due to some maintenance outside n our second floor ice machine was out of service.

Elevator broken for the 3 nights, microwave broken the second day no repair, short of towels. had to walk the stairs. very bad experience.

AC was very good, it was clean, and they had good breakfast. Check in lady was polite. Things that we didn’t like but wouldn’t care much if they wouldn’t charge high, for the price we pay we would expect things to work. For instance, the elevator did not work, the sod machine and the orange juice dispenser was also out of order. Either fix it or don’t charge too much.

The front staff and breakfast crew was very helpful and friendly. There is NO BAR/LOUNGE like it says they have. There was an older lady and guy just roaming the hotel watching everyone and everything. It was kind of creepy to us. They were some how affiliated with the hotel because they would be behind the desk with the staff.

Breakfast was good, needs to be upgraded furniture, linen and towels very old. we found cockroach on the first day and sofa in our room seemed to be aunt infested.

The first room we were checked into had a broken toilet seat and the tv remote didn’t work (not battery related, the buttons were mostly inoperative). A few dead cockroaches around the room in areas that had not been vacuumed. The second room we were booked into had a constantly running hot water stream coming out of the tub tap (not dripping, running). Again, the floor cleanliness was questionable. The AC fan would only operate on low. It cooled the room but only marginally. The refrigerator started leaking sometime during the first night. We stayed there. It wasn’t the worst. The owner needs to do a top down renovation of all the floor coverings and fix all of the ongoing maintenance items. The staff was very friendly and professional as they probably have had to deal with the same complaints for years now (based on other reviews claiming the same conditions).

Clean and comfortable room. Complementary breakfast was excellent.

it was so clean and quiet

We were lost. Called the property for directions and were told to “google it”. After another hour of looking for it, we found it. The young lady at the front desk was more interested in her phone than waiting on us. After we got checked in and into the room, we found hair on the sheets and towels. The toilet was dirty on the seat and the floors were very sticky. We will not be back should we travel that way again

Clean, comfortable, spacious. The best breakfast offering of any hotel of our three week trip.

Breakfast was good, better than mlst places I've been. Room bathroom was not clean, saw several roaches. Staff was helpful, front desk agent was very polite.

I was in town for a concert, and it was my first time visiting. The location was convenient and the hotel was nice on the outside, it was also rated 8.7. It was not the cleanest hotel, the carpets were pretty shabby and the price was $140/night, so I wouldn’t say it was cheap hotel. The remote didn’t work, because of the batteries, the linens were worn, and the bathroom was not the cleanest. But I’ve always said I could stay just about anywhere if the bed was comfortable…and it was. If a comfortable bed will do, and not much else, then I would recommend it.

Lobby and other areas were nice, but rooms were outdated (especially bathroom).

Nice room with everything we need. But one of the bedside lamps doesn’t work. The deadbolt on the door would not work.

Nice comfortable large room. Best place if you need to be near the Southside or near Von Ormy. Nice staff. Good coffee. Met all my needs.

This place for us was good for the price and the convenience. There were a few things that couldve been better but im not sure they couldve been fixed. The walls and floors are super thin. We could hear everything around us. From the neighbor guest's tv and conversations, to the upstairs guest's children running around till 3am, to the hearing people outside from our window. Im sure if we go back for another visit, it'll be a better, more exciting stay. Breakfast was pretty great and staff were friendly. I just think it was a bad weekend with the rain, people, etc.

The tv picture was distorted and color was off. We tried adjusting the settings, but nothing worked. We were already settled in so didn’t want to ask for a new room. I also don’t like having to pay $50 up front for incidentals and wait for reimbursement. We will need to follow up on that on my credit card statement. Seems like they could just have the card on file in case payment is needed like other hotels do.

Check in was wonderful, we had been traveling all night and half the day and we asked for an early check in and the guy at the desk was very friendly and helpful and got us all settled. The room was roomy and clean, the bed's were very comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend and we'll definitely stay again.

We had difficulty regulating the thermostat to the temperature we wanted.

This hotel was hundreds cheaper than other places in SA. It was only a 15 min drive from downtown and down the street from places to eat. The staff was amazing, especially Christian! The breakfast had a lot more food than expected and it was yummy! Room was big, beds comfy, quiet, all around a great hotel to stay at!

Very friendly, actually felt at home

The staff at the front desk were excellent. Very helpful. The other staff were very friendly and accommodating.

All in all the service and hotel were great! With that said, when we arrived we asked if we could check in 2 hours early, we were told only if we pay extra. Okay so it allowed more time for cleaning. Once we checked in we arrived in our room and it had an odor, found a cup in the window seal with mold in it. The sheets on the sofa sleeper were visibly soild. Only two towels in the bath room. We booked a double bed with sofa sleeper as we had 6 people. The front desk corrected everything and offered to change our rooms, even assisted us with extra linen **this was amazing** My experience would have been better and rating higher if our 1st impressions were better.

Kay was very friendly at the desk and made us feel comfortable checking in or requesting items. For a 3 night stay the hotel was very convenient and affordable. The double queen and sofa bed was perfect for 3 adults and 2 kids. Spacious as well.

Hotel Stay When we arrived our room was suppose to be on the 4th floor, however the elevator was out of service. Isaiah who was working the desk said there were no 1st floor rooms so we had to had to go to 2nd floor which would have been fine however I requested specifically a first floor room as my husband has MS and uses a mobility scooter to get around. We had no choice but the leave the scooter in the car and make the hike up to the 2nd floor. When we went down for breakfast the following morning the gentleman behind the counter asked what floor we were on, we told him. He said he was going to "block off" a first floor room for us when we got back later that day the room had been given away. Isaiah felt awful and had asked a guest who had just arrived a few minutes prior to move to the 2nd floor. The guest so graciously complied. Next thing we know we are in a different room on the 1st floor that had been used and not cleaned. The Ice machine on 2nd floor was out of order, soda machines were all out of order, and had to walk up to 3rd floor for ice Had to ask for clean towels, used towels on floor in bathroom, also needed to an ask for new pillowcases as the pillows had been slept on. 2nd floor room was nice and big and handicap accessible, this room was much smaller with no couch. Not one time did our room get cleaned even though we put the clean sign on the handle. We never saw a single room being cleaned. Very disappointed with this stay

Front desk workers are amazing. I had many interactions with several of them being that I stayed for a week. They were extremely helpful and where to go in the area restaurants that they recommended were wonderful they were just overall extremely helpful. The workers in the morning that took care of the breakfast were wonderful as well. Very personable. Everything tasted fantastic. Housekeeping was very thoughtful and our room was kept very nice. Showers were always extremely hot. It didn’t matter what time of day. I would stay again if I ever make it back to San Antonio.

At check in, I waited for 15 minutes because no one was at the front desk. The elevator broke during my stay so we had to take the stairs to the 3rd floor. And on three different occassions, our keys had to be reset because it stopped working. The staff was kind but the hotel itself needs some TLC.

Area around the property doesn’t look so safe

This is a very clean and well run hotel in a convenient location. We went to see the San Antonio Missions. The hotel is only a few minutes driving from the missions, and a short drive from the city center. Hotel is new and clean. Staffed 24/7. It's a little bit of a challenge to get going northbound on Palo Alto, but that's not really a problem.

This hotel was at a very convenient location for a quick visit with nearby family

The location was very convenient to a lot restaurants. The staff was friendly . The only bad thing the elevator was down .

The place was nice, the staff were very helpful, but my girlfriend was followed by a man and was barely able to escape him into our room. The area is a little rough and there is security on site, but I didn't expect this. Nice hotel, but I'm not sure if I'll go there again because of the area.

Room was clean; employees friendly; awesome breakfast. Area is a little sketchy, but overall we felt very safe. Lots of fast food options nearby as well as an Olive Garden.

A very good hotel on the corner of the hyway and freeway intersection within less than a minute walk to the gas station and 4 min to the restaurants

Wonderful hotel! Speedy check in plenty of well lit parking areas with security cameras. The entire place including the rooms were spotless looking like a brand new hotel. The staff were just so friendly and welcoming which was so refreshing. Plus the free breakfast was like a restaurant buffet. 5 stars!!

It has a humidity smell elevator was not working did not have apple or orange juice on breakfast they said machine was broke…😏!!

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had an issue with our reservation and the young man that was thete went above and beuond to solve the issue. Breakfast was delicious and a great variety. The lady setting up was there and very attentive and helpful to all guest.

The hotel staff was very stingy. We asked for a play pen and they were out of them. We asked for extra towels(only 2 towels per room): staff said they were out of towels. We went for breakfast at 830 am and I asked the staff for a banana and they responded that they only put out a certain number each morning. Even though i could see more bananas in their kitchen. Don’t plan to stay there ever again.
