KPH Guest Service Center Smile Concierge was a welcome surprise after exiting the Karuizawa Station exit. The persons at the GSCSC were extremely helpful and gave me all sorts of guidance for my stay which proved to be very useful Appreciated the shuttle which runs from KPH GSCSC Karuizawas Station to the Karuizawa Prince Hotel. The hotel was quiet, clean and has a coin laundry which was very convienient.

1. I experienced unhelpful behavior from bus drivers on two circular routes and felt discriminated against as a Chinese tourist. On several occasions, they required us to exit the bus and take the one in the opposite direction, even though both routes are circular and follow the same path. 2. The bus schedule is insufficient to meet the demand, resulting in buses that are always packed with people 3. The hot spring services close at 7pm. This early closure is quite unexpected and inconvenient, as it is common for guests to enjoy the hot springs after dinner, well beyond 7pm.

今回、家族3世代でコテージFを利用しました。建物は古いですが、4部屋全てにトイレ、バスルームが付いていて独立性もあり、とても快適でした。緑が綺麗で夜は満天の星を堪能。アクティビティには料金が掛かりますが、楽しく過ごせました。少しバスルームの下水の匂いが気になるかもしれませんが、コテージという形式上、我慢ができる程度だと思いました。また利用したいと思います。唯一、忘れ物が出て来なくて残念でした。分かりにくい小さな物でしたので仕方ないですが、注意深くお掃除をしていただければ出てきたかなあと少し残念です。

What i didn’t like is the their transportation staff,VERY RUDE and UNACCOMMODATING. The Country club is very nice, but our log cabin is not worth it. The toilent STINKS! and also the HOUSEKEEPING STAFF DIDNT TAKE OUT ALL THE TRASH. Your reputation is wasted. Your performance fell far below expectations.

We rented a cottage, but the room looked like it hadn’t been updated since the 1970s. There were also a lot of ants on our bed, along with some spiders. The A/C didn’t work in the morning, and it was quite cold. They offered to change our room, but it was too inconvenient to move at night, so we just put up with it. Additionally, they charge cottage guests for using the hot spring, which was disappointing. Overall, we were very disappointed with the experience.

Very clean hotel, excellent location just next to shopping outlet mall, you can walk to onzen in covered paths in the hotel building which is very clean and well maintained, also very convenient to go skiing with rental shop just at the hotel area. West Wing premier wing is newly renovated, very nice decor and new, highly recommended

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and arrived from Tokyo before 1 p.m.. The receptionist was kind enough to check us in at 1 p.m. though the check in time was 3 p.m.. The room was too warm however. We were told that the hotel aircon was still in the heating mode. So we turned the aircon off with the top windows opened. But it’s still too warm. We tolerated the warmth for the first night. It was warmer the next day at 22C throughout and just a bit cooler in the evening. The room was still stuffy with the top windows opened. We had to borrow a fan to circulate the still air in the room but it’s just too warm to sleep comfortably. I feel that the hotel should be more flexible to allow guests to switch the aircon to cold air according to their needs. After all, it’s important for hotel guests to have a good night’s sleep.

Amazing property!! Our room was so peaceful, very spacious, and very renovated. One of the best hotels in Japan that I have stayed in. Onsen was beautiful! Right next to a great outlet mall! Lots to do around the area. We were able to bus and uber around the property.

The property was not what we expected. The cabins are very far from the main town and front desk so we wasted alot of time waiting for buses in the rain. The pictures are a bit misleading as is the reception as the cabins are old and had no air-conditioning. I wouldn't recommend if you are expecting it to reflect the photos.

Room I stayed had beautiful view of ski resort, but it was very quiet, also how they arranged the bathroom and toilet and wash basins was very nice to shared by two persons and with privacy. Also hotel offered very nice public bath, which I would like to recommand very highly. However, choice of food could of been wider, but all and all this place was alot better located and offed better food than other hotels I stayed at Karuizawa before.

Unhelpful staff. No concierge desk and staff unwilling to help make phone calls for dining reservations. Amenities quality doesn’t match the room price. Shuttle jam packed with ppeople and luggages. It’s the nice hotel near the JR station. The Chinese restaurant we went served excellent dishes. You can enjoy the hot spring many times a day. We could see the Mt. Asama from the balcony. We also enjoyed the beautiful song of birds. Two common kingfishers flew over the garden in front of us.
