Stayed 1 night

The hotel is located at an ideal location if you want to experience serenity, clean and fresh air, mild weather, and a clean, comfortable room. It is located 5 minutes away from Santa Cruz and Capitola. The staff was very professional and kind. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. We were won over at this Hilton and have decided we're going to stay here whenever we visit the coast.

Stayed 1 night

We checked in and found that our room had a strong mildew odor. I addressed this with the assistant manager and he moved us to another room. That room had a different strong, musty odor. Both rooms smelled terrible. I addressed the second room with the same person. He moved us to a third room, labeled a pure wellness room. The room smelled strongly of bleach. Thankfully we had to leave for a bit after check in because we were able to leave the window open and the AC running to air out the room. I thought that was the end of the issues until I discovered what appeared to be poop or something that looked like poop smeared on the wall in the bathroom and on one hand towel that was folded and was supposed to be clean. I discovered the hand towel right before we were set to check out. I took photos and showed the assistant manager at checkout. He was apologetic and reduced the cost of our room for the night. All we expected was a clean room to rest while away from home, but the experience left me feeling disgusted.
