The room was great; the bed was SO comfy; the outdoor space was incredible! If you like to watch birds -- especially hummingbirds, stay here while in Hermann. It is close to everything (I did not have a car, since I took the train), and the garden area is a completely shaded respite. I watched squirrels play, saw rabbits eating the lush grass, and spotted and heard birds I have never seen before!

Located about 5 blocks from the Amtrak station within historic Hermann. The inn consists of several dwellings in relatively close proximity, each having been renovated into multiple single room units. We arrived early of check in time and our room was not yet available. The innkeeper was welcoming and said he would call us when the room was ready, which he forgot to do, causing us to have to kill time wandering the town unnecessarily. When we eventually got to our room, it was found to be on the second floor of one of the old renovated houses. It was small in size and adequately furnished. The only criticism of the room was that it had a glass transom over the door, and the light from the hallway prevented the room from getting dark.

At the moment of arrival the Sr at front desk told us if we knew our room was an attic obviously we didn’t know when we booked it said the was in a tower that’s it what didn’t make any sense to us. When the guy took us to the room we realize what he meant. It was the second floor of something look like a little house and the second floor was the attic that is very dangerous for seniors if you are not aware you can hit your head and be seriously hurt. I don’t really think they had al the permit to be called a hotel room. If you have heavy luggage like our case you will need help to put them up in the room and the same case to put them down. It seems like nice little one, clean and cozy but very very dangerous. Also they told us if we want to have breakfast included and free internet we have to reserve direct with them so I don’t think help you guys with your platform and it was expensive comparing what we got. Very disappointed

The host was welcoming and friendly. The location had charm and the amenities in the room were great, including a full size Keurig coffee pot with plenty of coffee and flavored creamers.

The room was nice but the location to the backyard is misleading. The owner has several properties and the one we were in was about a block away from the backyard pictures that are shown.
