The shower and toilet was a raised plastic cubicle placed in one corner of the room no more than 12 from the bed. On the other side of the bed was the sink. I have stayed in a lot of motels, some being old buildings but very clean and at least has the facility of an ensuite type shower and toilet. No shower curtain was on the shower, hence the whole toilet floor which was a small triangle would be wet even if you turned the shower head facing the opposite wall and I am only 65 kgs. A person a little larger would not have been able to turn around much less wash in the shower. I was also charged $5 per night for parking. Do not recommend this motel to anybody whatsoever.

The sheets had yellow stains and small red spots. I felt itchy as soon as I laid in bed. After checking under the blankets i found a lot of crumbs and debris. There was also human excrimentbon the shower wall in the bathroom. The room smelled very bad and I couldn't wait to check out.

The rooms were yak and dirty, both side of the beds and the cloth hangers in toilet was so crystal clear dirty and no one was cleaning them for ages, the toiles were smelling so bad, the rooms were also smelling so wet and uncomfortable. For some one who has alergy like me is a mistake to leave there.

This place was never the Hilton, but it used to be clean and had a decent breakfast. Now, the bed in our room was dirty (stained doona) and there was a large chunk of hair in the bed. The front door was damaged. The breakfast was poor. Only one choice of cereal, they got rid of the cappuccino machine (replaced with the worst instant coffee and tepid water), got rid of the cold meats, only one jam (in a broken jar) etc. etc. Very bad. My family used to stay there regularly. No more, it's a dump now!

The staff were great, and room was super clean. But the bathroom was tiny. I have visited bigger toilets on a Qantas flight, and these guys have a shower in the same space. Again, whilst very clean, it is tiny. Just like the bed, many a double sized? Very clean and well made, but tiny. Hard floors through out with no carpet made the facility very loud. This gives a new definition to "budget" Accomodation .

The bed is comfortable enough and the property is located conveniently off the Federal Hwy on the way into Canberra traveling south from Sydney. A couple of things to be aware of though 1) The walls are not soundproof. Listening to someone drag the one plastic stool that the rooms provide around the floor after midnight is not fun. 2) I'm not even 163cm but even I found the shower rose to be very low. 3) If you are carrying an injury, or if you are elderly you might find the step up into the toilet/shower to be difficult.

Checkin was easy. Staff polite and helpful. Our room we were a bit surprised. The rooms look contemporary and smart in the photos but actually they’re not. The room was small ( cell/ dorm like) and neglected needs updating. The AC in our room didn’t work properly and it’s old. They were hazards too. Our window was broken and blind wouldn’t stay down. Noted: to fix problem sticky tape was applied to window frame and blind, not a good look and cheap. There was 2 old heaters placed under the window again hazards and not a good look. One basin to use for bathroom/ kitchen not hygienic. Get walk pass bed had to position yourself straight de would. The bathroom/ toilet module to get in and out slip/ trip hazard. Any steam from shower can set up off smoke alarm not good. Em Slaby

Very small room for 3 people and the staircase to the bunk bed was almost impossible . Very dangerous . The shower is extremely compact and poorly designed . Overall , for one night , it was manageable . Nice staff and friendly in nature .

Room was MUCH smaller than the pictures indicated. The shower/toilet was impossible to use without soaking everything. There was no closet or drawer to put anything. No chair or desk although would not have been enough floor space if there had been one.

Ibis budget is a budget hotel. The bathroom is very small. The room and bed is good sized. I stayed in a queen bedroom. I just wish the bathroom area is slightly bigger so i don't worry water will go outside the bathroom. Facilities are good. Staff when checking was friendly.

Apart from being a budget room from bed to the wall very narrow, the bed was soft but too much soft and sloppy on the bottom part, Hips and back was so soar after a night sleep, need a new bed I guess. Tea and coffee re filled after two days thank you. Easy access from coming and leaving Canberra.

This is a budget hotel and one needs to adjust expectations accordingly. But this is very seriously budget. However, the bed was small, soft but OK. The aircon was constantly noisy to maintain even a little heat in the Canberra winter. The shower, toilet, sink and desk space were all adequate. The floor was spartan. Lighting was incredibly basic. Very limited hanging space for clothes. No useful hooks. Nowhere to hang a damp towel. And it is a good distance from the centre so impractical if you need to return during the day. Also some distance from any eating places.

Staff left the room key in the letterbox and went home which is fine however they neglected to let me know which room I was allocated. So after a four hour drive I had to use my room key on each door. Very unimpressed!

Staff were excellent. Room was perfect for a solo traveler, or a couple with child. Plenty of teas and coffees, which was a bonus. I didn't care about a view as I had the blind closed anyway. Would stay again as also very convenient.

Hotel is conveniently located just off Northbourne Avenue, as you arrive in ACT. Ideal base for us to visit family & friends during our stay. The room was very compact, however neat & tidy. The bathroom is very small & didn't have a sink. My suggestion to improve the room would be to renovate the bathroom, to include a sink. Otherwise all good.

Walls aren't sound proofed so you can hear every single sound. The smoke alarm went off in the middle of night so poor sleep. Cheap but for a reason. The breakfast buffet was good and the staff were friendly

Just an overnight stay for a Canberra Museum visit. Ibis budget was very basic (as we knew) but staff nice, breakfast really good (cereal, fruit fresh and tinned) toast, pancake machine and coffee) . Bed comfortable, room warm and hot shower. All we needed. What's not to like

The bed was good quality, I had a good night's sleep on it. When the noise from people outside the room finally died down about 11pm. Mugs instead of cups for tea and coffee was appreciated. Now for the not so good. The TV in the room was tiny and must have been about 10 years old at least. There was very little room to move around in once I put my suitcase down and it was so bad I tripped over it when getting out of bed and fell over and hit my head on the corner of the bedside shelf. Plus the bathroom/toilet capsule was so tiny you could barely move around in it. Not to mention that the steel step out of it became slippery after a shower and a slip hazard. I was also woken at 5am by someone using the toilet in the next room due to bad sound insulation between the rooms. There was also a step you could trip over easily as you left the room. As I was on the ground floor I had to keep the blind down on the window the whole time because people could see straight into my room from the car park, which was also a noise problem as they got into and out of their cars at all hours. Finally, food was advertised in the room, pizza, which was unavailable when I asked for it. And the guy on the desk didn't even realise I was waiting to speak to him because he had his head in his phone.

Staff were lovely but hotel is desperate. Shower and toilet in a weird little pod. Parents had an ‘accessible’ room which was the weirdest set up ever. Breakfast was expensive when you take into account what was on offer. Sorry to say would never stay there again.
