I booked standard doubleroom on expedia but i was given a small double room and after complaining i was told that i booked small room and i even showed them my booking details but lady at reception called ‘Anna’ just shrugged her shoulders, they gave us bit better room after complaining but it was very hot day and room was boiling and I requested a fan and i was told that they do have fans available and they will send it to our room after few hours of waiting and sitting in hot room i went to reception just tofind out that they don’t have any fans left, i had to go out to buy 1 for myself, awful customer service and not helpful staff

The Best Western at Ilford was a great hub and so close to The Elizabeth Line. There were some great local amenities close by too. The Hotel itself is run down furniture wise in the bedroom we had but I could not fault the cleanliness of the room. It’s a shame no hairdryer was provided or low lighting by way of lamps as our room was described as an executive suite and it was a little cold and damp to start with but did get toasty warm in the end ☺️

Excellent place not far from the main public transport system, Ilford train station about 10minute walk away. The hotel is very clean, the location is quiet and fairly calm with shops around. The staffs were excellent, friendly, supportive and responsive. My room was small, the shower "cabin /cubicle " quite uncomfortable if you are a larger person you would struggle to bend to rub your feet, some disturbances from neighbours rooms with their alarms going off and easily audible... Tv has no Netflix (did not find one, i may be wrong on this). Room may need a small fridge in for short term preservation of fridge items if on longer stay. Overall, a great place to stay, and I highly recommend it.

Checked in, reception area dirty, my room was in seperate building across the road. When i found my room (At basement level) there was barely any natyral daylight, it was terribly dates, and my neighbours were smoking weed with their door open. I reported this to the hotel and told them.i wakted to check out, i had checked in 5 minutes earlier. They offered me another room but i dodnt feel.comfortable staying. The room wasnt used at all. They refused a refund! Stating as i had checked in they dodnt have to refund me. Shambolic, horrible area, dirty. Do not stay!!!

Room was small but expected it to be .. sliding door on bathroom means not private. Hair clip by bed and dust and fluff by bedside cabinet so appeared clean in main areas but missed areas Noise from other rooms loud Breakfast is a no no .. yogurts not kept chilled week out of date .. Not full English but a take on it not served very hot. Rock hard stale croissants and a flask of ready made tea stewed at 6am Did report .. staff seemed happy to try and help but these things should not happen in first place.

I stayed in room 27 for the first two days then moved to room 24. I told the reception staff that there was a insect infestation problem in the shower unit of room 27 on 5/10/22 before I left for the day. When I returned I was told the unit had been sprayed and the electrical socket which was not working had also been repaired. I again reported there were insects in the shower and a receptionist took a not very clear video of the creature. For my last night at the hotel I was in room 24 there was no issue with that room that I found.

Even though I had paid in full and all hotel details were on my phone, staff needed ID, which I didn't have. Humiliating and degrading. The single room was a walk away in a different building from the hotel. The room was so small it could only fit a very small wardrobe and single bed. There was no duvet/sheets/blankets, so I slept with the heating on full, in the clothes I'd worn all day. I was exhausted from my trip and the earlier incident, it was pouring with rain and I didn't have the energy to walk back to the hotel to get bedding. This was a cheap hotel but I can't even say 'you get what you pay for' because it was missing the basics. When booking, this was the only hotel with availability in the area, for the date needed. On the whole, the staff were friendly but unfortunately this didn't make up for the 'experience'

My flight had delayed many hours, my friend whom i was meeting me there got there before me. They would not let her in the room, she had to sit in the waiting area until i got there almost 5 pm in the evening.she got there before 11am. I know that there checking in time is 2pm. Even after that they refused to let her in. when i got there they demanded a debit card for payment of one hundred pounds deposit. I am totally disappointed with the service given in this place. Its the worst I have ever received. Paid over £110 arrived at 9pm for 1 night stay and was told if I don't pay a deposit I can't stay. Room was so small they told me that's all the have. I challenged it and said thats not what I paid for. The change it to another and I just got fed up can't be asked . Next day can u do my refund. It will come in 3 days. Till now my refund is not back. Its pending on my credit card as they won't claim it nor refund it. Its a total shamble never again. I want a refund back and my deposit back

The Best Western at Ilford was a great hub and so close to The Elizabeth Line. There were some great local amenities close by too. The Hotel itself is run down furniture wise in the bedroom we had but I could not fault the cleanliness of the room. It’s a shame no hairdryer was provided or low lighting by way of lamps as our room was described as an executive suite and it was a little cold and damp to start with but did get toasty warm in the end ☺️

Checked in, reception area dirty, my room was in seperate building across the road. When i found my room (At basement level) there was barely any natyral daylight, it was terribly dates, and my neighbours were smoking weed with their door open. I reported this to the hotel and told them.i wakted to check out, i had checked in 5 minutes earlier. They offered me another room but i dodnt feel.comfortable staying. The room wasnt used at all. They refused a refund! Stating as i had checked in they dodnt have to refund me. Shambolic, horrible area, dirty. Do not stay!!!

Excellent place not far from the main public transport system, Ilford train station about 10minute walk away. The hotel is very clean, the location is quiet and fairly calm with shops around. The staffs were excellent, friendly, supportive and responsive. My room was small, the shower "cabin /cubicle " quite uncomfortable if you are a larger person you would struggle to bend to rub your feet, some disturbances from neighbours rooms with their alarms going off and easily audible... Tv has no Netflix (did not find one, i may be wrong on this). Room may need a small fridge in for short term preservation of fridge items if on longer stay. Overall, a great place to stay, and I highly recommend it.

Incredibly rude staff. 4 payments taken for 2 nights. Ignored by staff at breakfast - not sure they understood us or other guests. All hot food cold including bacon which was fried thin deli ham! Smallest room I have ever stayed in. Parking used by staff, no room for residents. Decor needs more than a refresh. Not what expected from Best Western.

Room was small but expected it to be .. sliding door on bathroom means not private. Hair clip by bed and dust and fluff by bedside cabinet so appeared clean in main areas but missed areas Noise from other rooms loud Breakfast is a no no .. yogurts not kept chilled week out of date .. Not full English but a take on it not served very hot. Rock hard stale croissants and a flask of ready made tea stewed at 6am Did report .. staff seemed happy to try and help but these things should not happen in first place.

I’ll start by saying the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Great service from them. On check in, one staff member helped me with parking arrangements , which was a relief as there’s limited parking available. I was initially put in the annex across the road. As a lone female I said I wasn’t comfortable with this and the receptionist kindly changed my room to the main building. The hotel itself is ok but I’m pleased I was only there for one night. The walls are so thin I found it very noisy - have to realise not all hotel guests are considerate of others. This resulted in a poor nights sleep. Coupled with lumpy pillows and a room that was very warm, the comfort of my stay was poor. Breakfast was ok. Again the issue was other guests pushing in and being inconsiderate. Quality of cooked breakfast seemed ok but poor coffee and limited choice of bread or healthy options. But then again breakfast is cheap, so it is going to be basic. Area of he hotel is in is probably not everyone’s first choice of location but it’s near Ilford station. I didn’t really like the walk back from the station in the dark, but it’s only a couple of minutes walk. Just need to be sensible and I wouldn’t suggest walking with your phone on show, for example. The hotel did seem better than all other hotels nearby.
