This must have been a really lovely property at one time. The grounds are still very nice and taken care of. The rooms could use some updating but the beds were super comfortable and the bedding was nice. It’s a great location near the outlets and many antique markets. The pool is a bonus and the price was right.

We stayed in 2 pet friendly rooms In one specific room The fridge did not work, the carpet felt moist, there was a smell, there were multiple moths, the room felt muggy, and there was dirt around the floor linings and in the bathroom. A treadmill in the fitness center didn’t work. The pool did not have towels. We requested more to the pool and they went to our room instead. The breakfast included limited options.

The bathroom was gross the tub was painted with regular paint the sink holes were black mildew it was peeled paint on walls in room it was definitely not what the pictures show. Pool was green. Never again will I stay there

Everyone was very nice. They are located with a beautiful view of the Amish farms in a fairly quiet area. They have a great pool Outside picnic tables and a gazebo. The Inn needs a lot of work on the outside. The rooms are very comfortable. They have a coffee maker, microwave and fridge. They need better cleaning staff. They serve breakfast 7-10 am. Next door is the Fireside Tavern delicious food great bar. They have outside dining seasonal. The Inn is located near the outlets, restaurants, sight and sound theater (A must). There is so many things to do. We have been staying there twice a year for 16 years it’s not the Ritz but so relaxing.

Was early Spring and pool wasn’t open but uncovered. Looked like it needed attention. Otherwise lawn and gazebo were in great shape. Room was clean but could use fresh paint. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Only saw one staff member while there. Reception set up self serve breakfast while managing the front desk. Lobby provides coffee and great seating area with area brochures. Great deal for price.

We got a room, with breakfast, for $75/night through Expedia. The room was OK but needed a bit of cleaning and some TLC. There were water stains on the ceiling and a sheet was torn. The ice bucket is a cheap plastic. There is no daily housekeeping, only upon request. The pool is OK but the pool towels they said should have been out were not there. The sauna works! The best thing about the breakfast is the juice and waffles. The front desk person also does the breakfast so it was difficult for him to pay close attention to either job. When asked, however, he refilled the coffee and juice. We were happy with our experience at $75/night but don't expect the same experience you would get at a $200/night hotel.

First, there are no elevators...even though it is a two floor inn. For those unable to do steps this creates an uncomfortable experience. Our room had a broken floor lamp, the one chair is old and very uncomfortable. The bathroom are outdated. It has a tub rather than a walk in shower...making those who have an ambulatory health situation struggle to take a shower. The breakfast is so-so at best. Three days in a row the staff failed to refill the eggs, potato, and sausage bins...leaving the food to be cold and tasteless...even when asked to refill the bins. On the last say of our stay we went to a restaurant We have stayed aymt Choice Hotels a number of times...with wonderful experiences. Choice Hotels need to put mobey into this place to freshen up the interior. Also the wevsite needs to tmlet future customerd know that it is not accessible or those with physical disabilities of any kind, specially stairs.

I will never stay at this motel again. It was FILTHY! There was mold on the wall beside the bathtub and the shower curtain was dirty with soap scum on the bottom of it. The one bedspread had dirty marks all over it. When I pulled a key card (from a previous guest) out from under the bed, I also pulled out hair and trash that had been under the bed!! It's DISGUSTING!!!!!!

Property’s cleaning staff doesn’t clean well. Blood was on our sheets hair was on the floor mildew in bathroom, shower floor was stained with embedded dirt, food splats on the wall, stains on sheets. Carpet needs to be vacuumed. Property needs updates and renovations. We stayed one night and couldn’t wait to leave. Staff was very nice and continental breakfast wasn’t bad. Sorry I didn’t book Holiday Inn next door.

The staff was very nice and kind, but the rooms were terrible. The first room that they gave me had mold in the bathtub. I said I was not comfortable staying in that room. The second room they gave me had mold on the ceiling of the shower really bad black mold and I said I'm not showering in there that is a health hazard. The third room they gave me was pretty OK. There was no mold anywhere but when I woke up in the morning, there was no shampoo and there were bugs in the shower.

I have never had to leave a hotel because of the room condition until this room. We tried to tough it out but immediately upon entering the room it smelled damp and mildewy. There were stains on the sheets and towels. Stains on the walls. Black mold/mildew along the shower. The glass of the window did not reach the wood so the room was open to the outdoors. The carpet was damp. It was very unclean. We checked out and found another hotel.

Beware rooms are dirty when you check in. Had to have them clean the room after checking in Bathroom floor was filthy and then there was garbage under the dressers. You should never be forced to have any place re clean a room after check in Then after checking out they wrongfully accuse you of smoking in the room to rip you off money when you do not smoke indoors. I would not recommend this location to any traveler. They are Filthy and liars to rip you off money.

Dirty and dated. Location of the property was good and there were clean sheets. Nothing else positive to say. The condition of the room was bad, especially the bathroom. There were holes in the wall from where a towel rack used to be, a gaping hole where a vent fan should’ve been, cracked and discolored drywall above the shower that looked like it could come down any minute, no one has ever bothered to actually scrub the toilet. Not sure they have ever cleaned the carpets either. It smelled like dirty dog. I kept my shoes on. We only stayed two nights, otherwise we would’ve looked for another place. Needless to say, we will not stay again.

It is out dated and in need of quality work done! Our sheets had stains and the room seemed fairly dirty. The property looks like it was amazing at one time. Rates were reasonable.

Building 1300 smelled of cigarettes, Like really old cigarettes. The bed felt like it was two mattresses of different thickness laid side to side. It was quite though and the room served its purpose. The tv didn’t work.

Check in was relatively easy. Bed was comfortable, hot water was immediately available, and the room (furniture, bed, bathrooms) appeared relatively clean. Thankfully not one roach in sight, and I was there for 4 nights. There was a fridge and microwave in the room for which I was grateful for. The carpet could use a steam clean though. That was quite evident after I took a shower after walking barefoot in the room. Exterior property was clean. There were no overflowing trash bins. There’s a fitness center but barely. It had two treadmills, two other cardio machines, two resistance machines, and no free weights. Surprisingly, there was a steam room. There was a water station but no towels and sanitizing wipes. The pool was in bad shape. The water looked murky. The chemicals were definitely not in balance. Continental breakfast was offered but I did not partake in the food, just coffee. Can’t remember what they had to offer but I’m not a breakfast guy anyway. The surrounding area is quite peaceful, I mean you are in Amish country. Other than the faint odor of horse manure, it’s quite nice just sitting out with a cup of coffee and a book. There is a restaurant next door but I did not eat there. Further out from the hotel there are lots of shops and restaurants. Downtown Lancaster has some nice record and book stores. That was a plus. Most likely I would stay again, that is if the convention I attended stays in place.

The bathtub was in terrible shape…the porcelain was chipping all over and it desperately needs to be re-glazed. There were also three pubic hairs in the tub so it obviously wasn’t cleaned.

The beds were clean as were the grounds. The room was very dated , with one missing closet door. Poor paint job in the bathroom, one headboard screwed to the wall, presumably to keep it from banging? Breakfast was minimal and cheap products.

The rug was dirty - my white six were black when I took them off. The property needs a complete upgrade. There is peeling paint, loose window putty, old lampshades, door which did not close tight. The beds were too soft and the window blinds didn't function. The electric outlets were too loose so the plugs kept falling out.

We had a lot of trouble connecting to WIFI/Internet. We had to call the technical support # and they were very little help. I finally got on to my laptop after 3 hours and my wife was never able to get on her IPad. That situation needs to CHANGE!

This was a bad experience. I had made a reservation for two rooms for two nights. My daughter and grandson checked in the first night. Due to travel issues, I arrived about noon the second day, assuming that the room would be available since both rooms were prepaid. The fellow at the front desk said there was no reservation and that the hotel was booked solid. I showed him the reservation, which included two rooms, with the prepayment. The guy told me that I would have to get a refund from Expedia, the third party booking agent. I contacted Expedia, who called the hotel. When the rep called me back, he said there would be no refund from the hotel or Expedia because of the hotel’s policy. Bottom line, the hotel profited twice on the one room and refused to accommodate in any way. Expedia did end up giving me a credit to use within 16 months. I appreciate Expedia for that. As for the accommodations that my daughter experienced, the hotel is somewhat dated and there is a noticeable gap between the bottom of the entry door to the room and the floor. Not sealed properly. Of the hotels that I have booked with Expedia, this one is a stinker. The weekend did work out for the good. I stayed at a VRBO in Quarryville that was quaint and comfortable, with very hospitable hosts—at half the price of the Clarion Inn.

Our building was not posted in visible sight. A couple that came with us were in the opposite side of the building and it was hard to get to and the stairways was like a sauna. Front desk was not very helpful with questions. Communication barrier.

I loved the beds especially the sheets. I slept like a baby. Room was bigger than I thought I was getting. I would most definitely stay here again if I'm in the area. Also maintenance helped us with our car when the key fell into the hole under our seats. Thanks so much for your help!

Room was dirty. Breakfast was false advertisement- included only cereal and coffee. Called front desk on our cell phone since room phone did not work. Asked for additional toilet tissue and said we have to pick it up at the front desk the next day. Our room card was turned off 3 hours before checkout and we had to find housekeeping to get back in. Never stay here again

It was a disgrace. We were harassed daily because the key to the room did not work. We were threatened by the boy at the front desk. I spoke to the female manager who assured us this would not happen again, and it did...every day. We had a sink and tub that did not drain, and we were told they could not fix it. We were asked for money from the cleaning couple on the day we were leaving. If I could have slept in my car I would have. We are hoping the PA dept can help us get a refund and the property and Expedia will not. It is sad as we are seniors, and this is how you treat people. Expedia suggest these properties, so they need to be accountable.

It was terrible we arrived to check in waited over 20 minutes for someone to get to front desk then we got into our room which was in another building cut my finger trying to open the door as the door stick. We were in room 242 in building 1300 then the room was dated with a damaged toilet seat bath tub need repair. Water was brown from shower base board in room pealing. Hair dryer is a fire hazard as it did not blow just got hot. Stay away from this property

The property was in a great location. Our only issue was when we went to check in the lady at the front desk was arguing back and forth with another worker behind the desk instead of taking care of the customers checking in and we were starting to back up a bit. Our room was clean and comfortable. Did have a slight musty odor but we had a diffuser with us and it was fine.

it was very convenient to Sight and Sound theatre shows and other nice Amish activities (e.g. Choo Choo Barn train display), Fireside restaurant there was a good choice as well as nice breakfast. Nice country views all around!

We always stay at this hotel when we come down. You have a restaurant next door, a gas station and convenience store across the street which has amazing options. Lancaster city is less than a 20 minute drive. If you are looking for a hotel that has amenities but is in a country and quiet setting, I’d book this hotel.

We had a hotel booked about an hour North and that hotel was no where near family friendly when we finally arrived there to stop driving for the night at 11:00PM. Clarion Inn was the only location showing availability on the Hotels app for that same night and the next night and also allowed pets so we rolled the dice and drove the extra hour even though we were already exhausted and to our pleasant surprise this place was a God Send! The check in employee was so kind and the room was clean and safe! Even better it was only 2 minutes away from Sight and Sound which was our destination for the weekend anyway so I would give this place 100 stars if I could!

I enjoyed the beautiful court yard right outside my room. Was too chilly to use pool but it looked nice. Inn was close to the Sights and Sound Theater, Strausburg Train rides,Restaurants, Tanger Outlet

While being an older inn it has a lot of charm and character that newer hotels can't match. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. The grounds are very picturesque and are well groomed. The Clarion Inn is far enough away from all the noise of Rt. 30 to provide a very quiet stay and still close enough to be only a short drive to all the major attractions. Sight and Sound Theater and the Strasburg Railroad and Train Museum are only 2 miles away. I will stay again when we return to the area.

The gardens, rear courtyard and rooms were very nice. Parking was somewhat problematic due to the vicinity of the Fireside Tavern next door. Their patrons used many of the car parks. Although breakfast was fine it could be substantially improved if the cooked items, sausages, potatoes and "egg" were not served every day. Can it be that difficult to provide other offerings like bacon, scrambled egg, and potatoes cooked differently than wedges. Also, the hotel should invest in a dishwasher. The landfill would be reduced if glasses, cups, cutlery and plates were provided. It would also enhance the dining experience. Surely we can move beyond plastic cups and knifes and forks.

The property was decent for a cheap stay. Our room and beds were comfortable. The bathroom was okay, tho the towel rack in the bathroom was broken. The rooms were not easy to locate and they werent at all convenient for hauling luggage to. The Fireside Tavern was a great option for dinner. Breakfast at the hotel was saved with waffles. It was not appealing and the area it was served in was stark. These were the only areas we used. My friend stayed in another room and brought his small dog, so that was convenient for him. I would probably go back if on a budget.

The building is old, but in working order and definitely was completely fine for a night stay close to our son’s baseball tournament. The restaurant was exceptionally good it felt like a hidden gem. There were many locals eating there. We’d go back for the location and restaurant.

Staff all very professional, helpful and welcoming. Did not us the gym Parking was safe in front of hotel reception. Room, the decor style was older clean and our bathroom refurbished very clean. The hotel has recently been taken over by new proprietors and they are making upgrades. Breakfast was an excellent plenty of choices.
