Motel 6-Madras, OR

This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a hotel. First, we were given the wrong room — and when we walked in, there were people being intimate inside. The staff switched us to another room, but it wasn’t much better. The second room did not feel clean at all. There was hair on the bed that wasn’t ours, the bathroom outlets didn’t work, and the faucets and lighting were in poor condition. They also advertise pool use, but the pool was unusable. It had green moss, dirty leaves, and even rotten debris floating on top. It looked completely neglected and unsafe. Overall, this location is poorly maintained and does not live up to even basic standards of cleanliness or hospitality. Definitely would not recommend staying here until major improvements are made.

Room was just what we needed for a one night stay! Clean, nice pool, good price and walking distance to where we needed to go for an event!

Basic hotel. Door trim was broken and fixed quickly when I brought it to the attention of the front desk person. Hot tub wasn’t working. Bed was ok. Had fridge and microwave.

The motel has spacious rooms but desperately needs an update. The dresser was missing its handles. The owner came and installed odd knobs so that we could open the drawers. It was still tricky opening the drawers. The bed was uncomfortable. The cheapest or oldest of mattresses—very uncomfortable. The room floor was dirty—I washed it down the second day but one pair of my husbands white socks were already black on soles. The dog walk area had random garbage and building materials strewn about. I cleaned it stacking the mess in one spot so that there was a safe place for the dogs to relieve themselves. The hot tub is not functioning and is cordoned off with yellow tape. The place needs an infusion of cash to bring it back to life.

It was clean and quiet, comfortable. Good TV. The pool wasn't the prettiest, but it was functional and refreshing. We also like that it was the filming location of "Management".

Clean staff very friendly , very well lit for dog walking at 2am. They need to redo and clean the pet are.

We enjoyed the welcoming check-in, the warm swimming pool and the easy access to our pizza dinner and the neighborhood park.

You definitely get what you pay for but beds were not very comfortable, sheets had random blood stains, walls had messes and scuffs all over them. The pool was the highlight however the hot tub was a bit of a hazard since it was almost empty and filled with green stagnant water, socks, garbage and a snorkel. There were also quite a bit of odd characters hanging around.

Nice enough for the price, but no sound barriers between rooms. Room was spacious, mostly clean, and beds were comfortable. No breakfast which was expected. Nice warm outdoor pool.

Room was overly bleached or not aired out properly! Had to leave windows open all night to breathe!!

We didn’t stay! We walked in the room and walked out and canceled and we were still charged. It is filthy. Flies and mold. And smelled like sewer.

BED BUGS!!!! Steer clear! Woke up with blood spots on the pillow moved it to take a closer look and that guy was running away.

I recieved bed bugs from this hotel.

Was the noisiest motel I have ever stayed in. People’s footsteps upstairs, people’s voices in next door rooms, seems like horrible detail on sound control during construction and any remodeling that has been done. Cleaning staff did excellent work, room cleaned per perfection every day of my multiple day stay

Great hotel for the price. Big room, big bathroom. Highway noice was a bit loud but not horrible. I'm sure the rooms further away from road might be a bit quieter.

Overall it was fine, I spilled some water on the floor and when I wiped it up with a white cloth, the cloth was "black!" So the floor was definitely Not truly clean. It looked clean but was Not. The beds, towels and bath were clean... Recommend an upper level room, the people above us kept us up our 2nd night, (stomping/scraping chairs etc.) Very noisy - so rooms aren't very sound proof.

Large clean and comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel sits on the highway and you can hear the cars at night. We had a room on the ground floor in front by the stairs and we had a lot of noise from the upper room and stairs. Maybe an upper room in the back would be not be so loud, or just pack ear plugs. It was ok for a stop over as we traveled.

Gentleman who checked us in was friendly and informative. The rooms have been renovated and were spacious and clean. Excellent stay for the price, will stay here again.

The door knob into bathroom was loose & about to fall off. Was afraid to shut bathroom door, would get locked in. Window in bathroom would not close or lock shut. Room Was an affordable price, clean. Walls were very thin & neighbors were very noisy!

Very nice accommodations. Great value. Quiet, spacious room with good WiFi. Very friendly staff that gave helpful information on restaurants and shopping locations.

The beds were just awesome! I slept so well and the room was relatively quiet and enjoyable.

Clean room. Soap available only, no shampoo or conditioner. No coffee. Comfortable bed. Very noisy AC throughout the night. But the price was right!

I first arrived and was being charged $97 which I found out only because I received a message from my bank. I later asked why I was being charged to much or why there were additional fees if I was quoted $87 online. The manager said well then order it online. After booking 2 queens online since the king was no longer being offered since it showed as booked I asked for a refund on the original booking that I was being charged $97 for. I was told that they have requested the refund but they wouldn’t be able to give me a receipt until maybe tomorrow. I tried entering the office for my receipt but they weren’t open/ available so I didn’t ever receive anything. This property was filthy. The sheets had so much hair on them. I called front office and asked if I could please have the sheets changed. 10 minutes later the co-manager came with sheets and told me to do it myself and to place the dirty sheets on the floor somewhere. The sheets that I was given had a quarter sized yellow stain and the pillow case has foundation on it. I loved my stay 2 years ago but this time I was up charged, charged twice, and got the dirtiest room and sheets.

We liked that it was one of the least expensive options in the Madras area. Despite the Motel 6 reputation as a "dive", the rooms were clean and up-to-date, the staff were professional and friendly; it was overall a good visit.

Staff was friendly & quick check-in, which was important to us since we had a long driving day. Our room was clean & spacious. I also felt more comfortable because they had security cameras in the parking lot. Kudos to Madras, OR, staff!

I called around 7pm confirming my reservation and let them know I would be in after 1am. I just got here 1:30am and there was no reservation the manager was grouchy and told me there was no rooms as I showed him my reservation through hotels.com he still wouldn’t acknowledge it. These people are very rude. I normally stay at the Cross Keys, which is way better service. Just thought I would give it a try and now my kids and are sleeping outside in the car across the street.

Stuff is great, my tv did not work ok and I call, and they send somebody to take care of it!! I like it

Room was as advertised . Though sparsely furnished it was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty of room for a dog bed. Location is on Hwy 26 so there are not a whole lot of restaurants within walking distance.

Surprisingly clean for the price! The beds were super soft and comfortable, as well as the pillows. Sleeping felt like at home. There is a Tesla EV charger nearby which was super convenient. We went to Portland Mariott downtown hotel after this motel and that one ended up being dirtier! Highly recommend.

We were close to the road so it was a little noisy but not that bad, we were treated very well by the staff who were very friendly. Coffee, but no donuts. LMAO

Location is older, but room was clean and comfortable. They offer no breakfast items, only coffee. Handsoap is only personal item supplied. Wifi supplied. TV, but no premium channels.

The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the water in the shower was hot. No coffee in the lobby until 7am. No shampoo in the bathroom. I would aim to stay there again because of the clean and quiet aspects.

Our room was huge compared to other chain hotels! Very clean and well maintained room and property. Convenient location. Only downside...no coffee maker!

The staff was great. the cover on the electrical outlet was missing, There was only 1 bar of soap. No other toiletry was provided in room No pictures on the wall to help with sound, broken furniture. Coffee was provided at 7AM long after the time for early travelers on the road.

The place was clean the only downfall is the hot water on the shower changes cold to hot. Their breakfast they only had cearl and 1 percent milk. But cant complain at least its something. Well go nack.

Very basic and simple. Inexpensive. Nothing fancy. No breakfast. Clean. Arrived late and left early, just needed a place to sleep for the night while traveling.
