Marina Inn & Suites Chalmette-New Orleans

The motel was good for what we needed for a night. Was pleasantly surprised to have a microwave and fridge in the room, as well as a coffee machine and shower supplies. The parking lot was well-lit and seemed to have a lot of cameras. Overall we had a good experience here.

We aren’t horribly picky about where we stay (clean and safe are the top priorities- outdated but still clean and safe doesn’t sway us). This place fit the bill. However, upon arrival we were given a back alley smoking room (in tow with little kids and not told the key was to a smoking toom). We then called from that room and had to lug our kids and everything else back to the main office with no offer of help… got a room on the more scenic marina side and non- smoking. Room still wasn’t tbat clean but was workable - we went to Walmart and grabbed Lysol wipes/cleaned it up ourselves. Covered the couch with 2 bed sheets. Really, not that big of a deal coulda looked passed it. Next day, my kids are begging to go to the pool (part of the reason we picked here) and the pool was FILTHY black and debris. I asked why that was… “to keep people out when the water is cold”. It was 70-75 and zero rain while there. NEXT DAY it was being cleaned and chemicals put in (and all of a sudden signs up to not use the pool instead of the filth give away “sign”). Yawn… started getting old… we left before the pool was ever available. PROS: Definitely a safe location, quiet nightsfor the kids but close to NOLA with a rental car. After we did our own initial cleaning, the housekeeping did come and vaccuum/ give us new items anytime we asked and were very kind ( to be fair to them they weren’t around when we arrived). The Marina is cute and quante. We went out each AM and nights when back early.

Staying at the locally owned motel in my hometown was a delightful experience. The organic soaps and shampoo were my favorite and the waterfront views were stunning. The presence of real slot machines next door and the availability of non-ethanol gas and Celsius energy drinks at the nearby gas station were unexpected bonuses. The motel's proximity to Chalmette Battlefield, Sidney Torres Park, 40 Arpent Wetlands Observatory was convenient, and spotting an alligator swimming behind the property was a memorable highlight. The area felt very private and safe, enhancing the overall stay. A restaurant on the property would be nice especially one that served organic and vegan food.

Loved the water front view and the general friendliness of the staff. I will probably be back if I visit the area again.

We visited New Orleans for ananniversary weekend getaway and stayed here. It's just outside the city and was absolutely perfect for us. The King executive suite was just like the picture. The room was very large. The bed was so comfortable. The mattress felt new. Mini fridge was clean, there was a coffee pot, hairdryer, Tv, couch, table for 2, and microwave as well. Our room faced the pool and parking lot. And the parking lot faced a marina. Gorgeous views of the water. It was super quiet all weekend. Very peaceful. We did not want to get out of the bed Sunday morning! There is a standing shower seprarate from a soaking spa tub with jets. I highly recommend this place. And a plus, there is a little cafe, Family Cajun Kitchen, attached to the hotel. It was delicious. There is also a gas station and small casino with slot machines in the adjacent parking lot, which we visited both of those as well. Staff was super friendly. This was a very pleasant stay. We will absolutely book here again when visiting the big easy.

Nice surroundings on the outskirts of New Orleans. Unfortunately the nearby restaurant was closed during the weekend.

This hotel was cute and privately owned. I appreciated that they kept their prices the same for the weekend Taylor Swift was in town for her tour instead of price gouging. They even made sure to keep an extra room open for fans in case someone was desperate and needed a room. Such genuine caring people running this hotel and they are doing a wonderful job. It was quiet and rooms were clean. I have no complaints for this stay.

There is s fishing dock and people were catching fish all day and night. It was quier and safe. Not much traffic. Pool was awesome too

Hotell is a bit worn down and needs an update and refreshing. Beds were comfortable. Pool area was usable but not very inviting. I believe the booking said breakfast included but there was a small muffin in a rapper. That was literally it! Shouldn't be allowed to sell accommodations with breakfast included and serv literally nothing.

There’s bugs and bedding are not cleaned

That staff was friendly, but as far as the stay was terrible they had bugs all in the room. Everywhere I looked there was a bug. Bug in the sink, the tub, on the tv, and on the chair. I would not recommend staying here again.

Dead roach in floor. Sheets stained. Mice droppings around the room. Parking was fine.

It sufficed for a short visit but there are definitely no frills. The beds were ok. The bathtubs need resurfacing, the carpets were filthy especially in the corridors, and there was a stale odor throughout the building. With a little love in the upgrade department this could be a much more pleasant experience. Overall the staff was friendly and courteous.

There was so many mosquitoes and bugs in the room on the ceiling in the window seals everywhere. And lots of booming music all hours of the night.

I have to start with customer service, the lady at the counter was great. The rooms are not as bad in the inside as they look in the outside when it comes to decor. For what I paid it was a decent bed and shower. Unfortunately the room was not clean to expectations. There was a lot of water and toothpaste marks on the mirror in the bathroom, the blankets had a few stains of burning as if someone smoked on them. The floors were disgusting. And the counters were sticky and questionable.

A place to simply rest your head & move on. Very outdated. Shower backed up & toilet didn’t flush so good. Not the nicest place but not the worst. There are definitely better places in the surrounding area but not many close to the refinery.

This place was perfect for us. We got the suite with the kitchenette. It was roomy and perfect for us. Kids did some fishing and enjoyed their stay as much as we did. Will absolutely book again.

Just a place to sleep till we fished the next morning the hotel was fine the beds were comfortable the refrigerator worked TV worked air conditioner / heater worked

The entrance door to the room wasnt sealed. It had a crack at the bottom of the door. Other than that my stay was ok.

It’s gets the job done at an affordable rate. Rooms are a little outdated, main door wouldn’t shut correctly, had to life in order to shut, few Cobb webs around the room, cleanliness was a little iffy. But if you want to rest at an affordable price, this is the place. Staff was polite and helpful.

The stay was good except we rented a suite and there was no pots to cook with. Other than that everything else was good
