Centurion Hotel Residential Akasaka Station

The room was spotless with no bugs or any noticeable stains or dirty areas. The floor was not carpeted, so it was easy to see that it was very clean. The room was a bit cramped with the queen bed plus pull out in use. I am not sure but I felt that this was probably typical. There was very little walking room and only 1 chair in the room (and a desk, 1 nightstand, and 2 small side tables). The kitchen included a hot water kettle, a mini fridge, a sink and the washer. The washer might be typical in Japan, but for an American, it seemed to work very slowly, and the dryer function left all clothes damp. It would have been nice to have a clothesline available to hang the damp clothes on. We laid the damp clothes out (mostly socks and underwear, so small items) for a day and they could be considered dry. The shower had excellent temperature and pressure settings. Housekeeping was also excellent. Additionally, the lobby provides small items like tea bags, toothbrushes, and other similar items. The location was convenient to several subway lines, a grocery store, stores, restaurants, and convenience stores. The neighborhood was quiet until after work hours with advertisements for casinos (slot machines), girls (not sure exactly what was being advertised), and a lot of restaurants. However, even though it seemed like more of a nightlife kind of neighborhood, it was not loud in the room nor unsafe when walking around.

Good location, a lot of restaurants everywhere and close enough to 2 metro stations on different lines. We liked the neighbourhood, not dead quiet but also not chaotic. The stuff was really polite and helpful and communicating in english went smoothly. There was a washer/dryer machine in our room which was kinda useless. A full cycle took 6 hours(!), the clothes were not really dried at the end and they also smelled badly.

Room was small for three people. Did not use the balcony nor the washer/dryer; much prefer this space to be living space. The safe is very small and is just sitting free on the floor - anyone can lift the whole thing and carry it out. The elevator has no restricted access and anyone can go from the back and up the elevator without passing the front desk. It is in the bar district although I don’t feel unsafe there. The washroom is larger size. Staffs are friendly and helpful. I was told they allocate one luggage stand per room (even though we booked for three); later staff found us two more luggage stands. They gave one bottled water per person and I found out the day we leave that the water refill station is in one of the floor. There is a hotplate/stove top and you can ask for a pan or pot; if you want full kitchen utensils there is a fee. Located close to two subway stations

Good sized rooms in a great location. 1 minute walk from Akasaka station and right outside of tons of restaurants / bars. Only complaint would be the need for more washers/ dryers.

Staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions and concerns! Also, every day candy, dango, and other assortments were given as free items. For each room, there is the option of do not disturb, eco clean, and full service clean everyday, All were great! It’s also near so many restaurants, things to do, and generally Akasaka! It was a perfect location because the Akasaka station was a 2 minute walk away while Akasaka- Mitsuke station was about an 8 minute walk which were the 2 lines we used to get everywhere across the city Would definitely stay here again!

Great location, hotel is having some kind of renovations done so a bit loud and messy in front of the hotel. Room was on smaller side by American standards but comfy bed. We had a room with washer/dryer in it which was so convenient. Definitely would stay here again.

Great location to stay. Close to Subway so access to anywhere is easy. Lots of great restaurants around. And also, you get your own balcony, which is very rare for Japan.

No pots or pans

My wife and I stayed 5 nights Pros: -Close to subway (akasaka station and Akasaka-Mitsuke station) -located in center of city so it’s a short subway ride to anywhere in Tokyo -Friendly staff -Surrounded by great bars and restaurants -Great shower! -In room laundry washer/dryer combo (takes up to 5 hrs per load, so plan accordingly) -Comfortable bed -Good AC -Clean Cons -The room layout is awkward so it feels smaller than it is -WiFi was awful The hotel was fine but I probably wouldn’t stay there again because of the bad WiFi, and there are a lot of other options in the area.

Room was clean and nice. Was confusing for checking in as the front desk is in another building that faces the next street over. There is a back entrance but not clearly identified.

We stayed here around 6 years ago and it was very nice. This time it wasn't so nice. The shower room was moldy, washer smelled super moldy and smelly, couch was sticky, sliding bathroom door was not sliding and needed replacement or oiled, slippers provided looked very worn out, could not make room dark with blinds, front desk people didn't understand English 3 times when my husband was alone, hallways were not taken care of, and the place is overall very old and needs an update. Will not stay with them again.

I liked how it’s close to a lot of restaurants and a 10min walk from Akasaka subway. I didn’t like how they put us in a room that smelt like sewage. I read online about this but didn’t expect them to put us in a room that smelt. They however did change our rooms but they shouldn’t use that room if they know it’s a problem. Water would be charged 100yen if I needed more. I was in South Korea just before our trip to Japan and water was offered to us daily, not just a bottle per person. I mean it’s hotel policy but, it’s water.. it’s a necessity.

Loved how quiet the room was. The two separate rooms with doors were awesome. The front desk employees were excellent and friendly. Since our departure was in the evening, they kept our luggage in a secure place for us so we could enjoy our last day in Tokyo. The shower head had a lot of rust and tile grout on floor dirty.

The room was small, but very clean and comfortable for a short stay. The location is excellent very close to the metro and surrounded by restaurants and cafés. A great option for convenience in Tokyo. Staff were polite and the atmosphere was quiet.

Overall, wonderful stay! The balcony was absolutely perfect for breakfast and the view was so cool! Definitely smaller than the images made it seem, but this is just nitpicking. Water pressure in the shower though was EXQUISITE especially after a long day of walking in the heat. The only thing I definitely was put off by was the very pungent smell in the bathroom, particularly when you get below the sink. It definitely made me gag quite a few times and I couldn’t quite place what it was, but it was intensely strong and unpleasant. I’m assuming something with the P-Trap but I’m not a plumber. But considering that was the only big con I had, I’ll take that as a win!

Friendly staff, but issues with cleanliness in the lobbies and halls. We saw a rat run out of lobby and a found a cockroach in the elevator. The room quality was fine, other than the AC vent on the ceiling which had lots of dust and humidity buildup. Older furnishings was expected, however having booked the most expensive room one would definitely expect more. Checked out early, no refund policy.

Clean room and friendly staff

Spacious, room size is very generous in Tokyo standard. Room also includes a small kitchen and a washing-dryer combo which was very handy. Close three train stations and quite location.

Comfortable room and helpful staff. Lovely to have a balcony in central Tokyo.

The queen size room was somewhat small but equipped with Kitchenet and larger bathroom. Later I extended my stay yo the tower with large room, king, so the room was very nice but no kitchenette and very small bathroom

We had a great stay at the end of our ski trip. The rooms are small but very functional.

Room was tiny but usually what you get in Tokyo for an average price. Room cost $150CAD equivalent here. In other cities we got 3 times the size for half the price. This is all in the off season. Hate to see what it would cost during summer months.

The location is really good, super convenient, many really good restaurants and convenience stores, 2 min walk to green metro line and 7 mins walk to red/marunouchi and ginza metro. I will stay here again when I come back to Tokyo.

Great location. We were in the annex and the separate entry was nice and the room was very quiet but it was very small. There was no kitchenette or separate toilet/shower rooms.

I liked the availability of laundry facilities. The family room was also a decent sized room. The only thing we didn’t like was that the small windows were facing walls of adjacent buildings. The room didn’t have any views at all.

Staff were very friendly and helpful from our first day till the end where they even helped with getting the taxi to take us to the right place. Would stay again on our next visit

Our second time staying here and staff again are absolutely helpful and incredible☺️good location especially for transport for the Gina line, only four stops away from Shibuya which is handy. Plenty of places to eat near by! I recommend the steak place called Inkari I think.

とにかくスタッフの皆さんが親切で丁寧で、とてもありがたかったです。2週間近くの滞在でしたが、毎日の清掃も入ってくださり、時間も都合に合わせて下さったので大変助かりました。またタクシーを呼んで頂いた際には、わざわざ外まで見送りに出てくださり、雨の日は傘を、スーツケースを運んだ際には荷物のお手伝いをして下さりました。御手頃な価格だった為、こう言ったサービスまでは期待しておらずでしたので、とても感動しました。 エリアとしても交通の便が最高で、食事をする場所にも困りません。中々ここまで色んな線のメトロが使えるエリアは珍しいのではと思います。 また帰国の際には是非利用したいです。

American review: I got to the hotel around 1pm and checkin wasn’t until 3pm. They gladly let me leave my bags there until it was time to check in. I was able to explore the area nearby and even walk partially through the imperial palace grounds. Upon returning to the hotel for checkin they had already moved my bags to my room so I didn’t have to! Room was clean and a perfect size for just myself. The hotel was a great location for me. I stayed for 7 days to explore Tokyo and with multiple train stops nearby it was easy to get around by just walking a few minutes to one of them. While staying at the hotel the staff would always welcome you anytime you passed by. I kept my “do not disturb” sign up on the door the entire time and they adhered to it but would leave you fresh towels in a bag at your door each day. Upon leaving I had them request a taxi to HND airport for me since I had 4 bars and was not going to attempt a train with them. They not only called for a taxi but also took my bags from me and loaded them into the taxi and made sure the driver knew I was headed to HND. The hotel was a great extension of my wonderful trip to Japan. 10/10

Staff were extremely helpful and when we had a problem they acted immediately and rectified it. The late checkout for $20 was also a great option.

Perfect location, nice room.

We stayed in the Executive Twin Room, it was clean and spacious for our small group. The hotel is located in a great spot, a lot dining and bar options nearby. Plus it is close to the Akasaka metro station, where we could easily catch a train to various areas in Tokyo. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed for 9 nights and was very happy with the hotel and area. So close to 3 main subway lines and tons of dining options. Check-in and out was super easy and staff very friendly. King bed and sleeper sofa were firm and pillows were ok. Loved the washer/dryer and used it often with free detergent from front desk. Too hot and humid to use the patio, which was a shame but can’t help that. Overall, hotel was clean but could use a bit of updating. Our room (501) was very quiet with the exception of someone on our floor extremely angry and screaming at the top of his lungs at someone at 7 am. Did not hear outside noise from bars/restaurants.

The Centurion Resident Akasaka is a great stay! Highly recommend if you will be staying in the Tokyo area. It’s centrally located to all of the popular attractions and just a short walk to the train station. Better yet though, it has a ton of restaurants, bars and convenient stores right next to it. The staff is very accommodating and speak English if that is a concern. Room was great! Secluded balcony, spacious living area and great bathtub for soaking. I will definitely return for my next Japan trip!

For the price and location, this is a must-book! The breakfast is good too. However, the room was very small for 3 people. Our suitcases took the entire free space. The bathroom is very small too, and kind of smells like humidity.

Stayed here for 6 nights for Tokyo Marathon. Decent hotel in an excellent location. Walkable to both Asakasa and Asakasa-Mitse stations. Plenty of dining options all around. A pretty busy area that felt safe to walk around even at midnight. Hotel is a bit on the older side. There is an onsite restaurant which always seemed empty and we never tried it. Room is smaller than what you see in pictures, but it’s Tokyo and most rooms are usually much smaller that what you get in US. Room service was pretty good. There is a stove, a mini fridge and a washer inside the room and this was very handy. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I would gladly stay here again.

No breakfast available but when questioned yes it had a kitchen. Turned out that it had a kitchen but no Disnes or pots an pans, when questioned told that pots and dishes could be rented piece by piece. Two people but one chair. More problems but let me just say that I have traveled for 71 of my 90 years and this was the worst.

Hot spring was great! Also, enjoyed breakfast. Loved the location.
