Hotel Sole was a complete surprise. We booked budget friendly accommodations that were simple, but this place was super clean, well appointed with a surprising amount of space for a 4 person family room in Europe! The shower had good water pressure and stayed hot for 4 showers, the bathroom was small but had everything we needed. To top it off the location was incredible! Assisi is billing but this is one of the “flatter” areas great access to seeing all of the sites and close to the Bus A route, lots of cafes and restaurants near by.

This hotel is in the perfect location with reasonable access from the nearby parking garage and proximity to the Basilica of St Claire. It was clean with large comfortable beds. The bathroom was large compared to many other hotels and rentals. The central location enabled bathroom stops between our visits to the various churches and basilicas.

The room was small and nothing fancy, but was super comfortable with great air conditioning. The view was AMAZING! Our room had an outdoor patio area that was magical. Birds would fly by and chirp, church bells would ring- it was like living in a Disney movie. I would love to come back for a longer stay.

This little gem is in a perfect place for exploring Assisi! If you’re looking for high end luxury, this isn’t your place. But if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable and friendly spot— you’ll be happy! We had a balcony attached to our room and sat out there looking down on the town and valley below. Ringing church bells was a highlight!
