Cap Rocat, a Small Luxury Hotel of the World

The property itself is absolutely stunning, but the overall experience didn’t quite match the level of hotel or the price. For a hotel in this category, I found it very strange to be charged separately for extra water in the room and even nuts. When you’re already paying around €2,500 a night, I would much rather the hotel simply charge €100 more for the room than nickel-and-dime guests over small things like water. It takes away from the feeling of luxury. The staff also didn’t seem as polished or well trained as I would expect at this level. The cocktails were disappointing, and the food quality was not what I would expect from a hotel of this calibre. It’s a beautiful property with enormous potential, but the service, food and attention to detail need to catch up with the setting and the level they are trying to aim for..

The definition of luxury. Friendly, attentive and professional staff, incredible food, amazing breakfast. And then there is the property itself. Utterly unique blend of rugged and refined with amazing design touches, incredible views and authentic buildings. Perfect.

We had a wonderful stay at this very unique fortress hotel. Staff could not have been more pleasant & helpful. Food & service great. The owners must be very proud of what they have created . I am sure that we will return . Tony & France
