Coast Hinton Hotel

Was a basic hotel and ok for a quick stopover en route to Edmonton. No ev charger.

Friendly staff, clean, pet friendly

It was nice to find the hotel after a long-day's journey. The Front Desk staff were welcoming and helpful with answers to any questions. The room was clean and comfortable and the dinner at the attached Kimchi's restaurant was delicious.

Easy access off highway and pet friendly!

Friendly staff. Curre toy undergoing renovations. Clean rooms. We asked for an accessible room for my husband who has mobility issues and they gave us a room on the main floor and first room in the hall. Handicap spot right by entrance

Had tough time with washing clothes as washing machine and Dryer were not working properly.

Mice traps, elevator not working, breakfast served in thin cardboard plates, plastic utensil, limited restaurant menu.

Room was clean ,easy parking,friendly staff ,breakfast room was full of oilfield workers so didnt get to try breakfast couldnt wait for a seat that long

Clean room

It was a fantastic place. Cleanest shower I’ve ever seen. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend it

In general nice place but unfortunately toilet bowl was with poop from previous guests. It's mean that no one didn't clean it. Bed linens also was dirty and with hairs on the bad. Pillow cases smells bad and was dirty. This makes me really upset because price not chip - $206((((

Piss and blood on the sheets

We checked in late and went right to bed. The next morning we found a Tupperware container in the shower, with what looked like coffee grinds inside. There was also a razor stuck to the shower wall and hair all over. We found a cup behind the nightstand, that had something spilt out of it. It looked like it had moulded, as it was fuzzy and white. The microwave was disgusting inside and crumbs on the floor behind the stand. In the morning we let the guy at the front desk know. He said if we had come down the night before, maybe he could have done something. He said a manager would contact me. No one ever did. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Property has been renovated so rooms are updated and nice. Beds are comfy and clean. They have continental breakfast included with stay. I would definitely come back and stay here.

Much different experience staying here from a few months ago. Room was definitely not vacuumed. Friday and Saturday party in parking lot, and stomping around the halls could be heard until almost 3am. Messaged hotel staff about getting a room change and didn't receive any response.

First impressions are crucial! The room did not meet expectations. When we got into the room: 1) bathroom light didn’t work, frig was warm (and it was plugged in) and microwave did Not work.Management did correct all 3 of these issues but that meant coming into our room multiple times. Lack of privacy 1) Bathroom door does not close & lock fully and 2) being on the main floor no privacy sheer curtain. We heard loud noises that we associated to water hammer. More sound proofing between floors would have been nice. I’m sorry to say that it was not the most positive experience.

Air conditioning can’t keep up to the higher temperatures of summer. Very difficult to sleep.

This property is branded as a Coast Hotel, but it’s really an Inn experience. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and my request for a feather-free, pet-free, smoke-free room was honored, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the moment I entered my room, there was a strong smoky, musky smell. Opening the window didn’t help, and I suspect the portable window-style AC, which was also very loud, was the source. It was too late to request a move, so I stayed, but I couldn’t sleep well, even using vapor rub to cope. Noise was another issue you can hear footsteps and voices from other rooms. Request a 3rd-floor room if possible. The bathroom was clean with great water pressure, but the tub was dangerously slippery, especially for senior guests. Rubber mats are needed to prevent accidents. Breakfast was decent, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Overall, while the people were great, the property is outdated and far from Coast Hotel standards this is not a hotel, it’s an Inn.

Rooms were clean. The air-conditioner in the room was old and very loud alsonit was hard to get a happy medium with the temperature. It was either very cold or very hot.The room was very light. There was a spotlight out the back of the property which shined straight into our room.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. However, the breakfast selection could be improved.

Breakfast was decent. The tiny air conditioner could not keep the room cool at night. The mattress was much too hard. Rooms were very clean.

Definitely the least appealing Coast hotel I have stayed in. Staff was friendly, but the hotel was super dated and in a state of disorganized/half finished renovations. The bed was clean and comfortable, but the room itself and the furnishings needed a lot of updates.

I am a retired Construction Superintendent. I am convinced it is a wood frame building. As such, noise can be easily transmitted through the floor. Someone was walking around in the room above ours. It was kinda noisy.

The bad experience started on checkout. The front counter staff member was disrespectfully and appeared unfocused. Next was the challenge with the room. Entering our room on the second floor, we were hit with a wall of heat. The room thermostat was registering 80F. Even with the air conditioner set at its coldest setting and highest fan speed and leaving the window and drapes propped open (it was below 0C outside that night) the room never reached a comfortable temperature. We had to sleep above the covers and we both constantly awoke throughout the night. Very disappointing and restless night for both of us. Finally, the continental breakfast almost made me sick. The food selection was acceptable but I settled on an pre-wrapped egg on an English muffin. A quick heat in the microwave but when I opened up the wrapping paper I was greeted with a muffin that was completely covered in mold. Needless to say, I lost my appetite. I grabbed the muffin and took it to the front counter, wanting to alert the staff of the state of the breakfast. The gentlemen at the front counter looked at it, and just threw it in the garbage - no apology or effort to try to correct the issue. He did not even bother to get off his chair. He used the excuse that it probably was just a mistake in the way the food was rotated. Completely unprofessional client service top to bottom. I do not thing I will be staying at a Comfort Inn if this is what I can expect from my experience.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Very good complementary breakfast. Comfortable bed and pillows.

We were happy with our stay. Gentleman at the front desk went out of his way to find us a luggage trolly when we were checking out in the morning, it was greatly appreciated

Hotel was awesome. Service was amazing. Isabella the FD staff provided excellent service. 5 star rating. Room interior is modern and surroundings are clean. Beds are comfy. Windows are wide and allow natural light to radiate in the room. Lovely stay I must say.

We waited forever to check in. The desk was empty and by the time they came back there was a line up to check in

Friendly staff at front desk and dining area. Room is neat. Not a tourist area and its a long drive to Jasper.

Very convenient to access food and gas. Included breakfast was really good too. Very clean and nice. I would recommend this place for family and friends!

The breakfast in the morning was terrible..nothing like the pictures..no juice..no waffles..bread was soggy..2 pans of sausages..and a crock pot of baked beans.the only good thing that the front desk girl was very friendy..

No one at front desk. Didn't have my phone on me, so had to return to car to call someone. Reception was friendly and helpful. The room was cooking at 78°, so we had to turn on AC and open a window (Dec!) . Breakfast was toast, hot coffee and some warmed up precooked boiled eggs, sausage and hash (only toast was edible). It was good for an overnight stay, easy access, and super close to multiple restaurants and shopping.

Continental breakfast needs some improvements, with set-up, space and food choices and quality, otherwise very clean hotel and nice friendly staff

It’s a good hotel if you want to bring your dogs with you. Breakfast was included but honestly, is not worth it.

The only problems we had was in regard to when I asked for a conjoined room they said we were given it but in fact we weren’t it was just rooms beside one another. The breakfast was definitely not what it was said to be no fruit, no eggs, pastries hardly anything at all very dissatisfied with the breakfast.
