I loved this hotel! Everything about it was clean and inviting! The things that stand out the most as different from other hotels is that it feels like a small apartment. It has a washer/dryer, a refrigerator with a freezer, microwave, and dishes. It was a short walk from the train station so it was very convenient. I would stay here again.

Overall excellent. First time experience to collect breakfast and use the room microwave to hear up food. Only sad is no proper housekeeping. Will do replace towers and collect rubbish. Also we love the washing machine. Helpful

The room we stayed at had a strong musty smell. I suspect that room has been vacant for a long while. We had to spray the air purifying spray. Mold came out when we used the kettle to boil water. We requested for room change but there wasn’t any available room for those 2 nights we stayed. Honestly, it wasn’t cheap but I expected it to be at least clean. Staff was okay but they couldn’t do anything about the dirtiness of the room.

Love the proximity to Ikebukuro station. The surrounding area had lots of eateries and interesting small shops to explore. The hotel's pretty new and it shows, and having a washer dryer and a kitchenette makes long stays enjoyable!

Lobby and resting area is new and lot space. Free filter drinkable water and coffee machine for guests. That’s so good. However, our room quite small for 2 adults even we booked a room with little kitchen. Hotel location is perfect in Ikebukuro. Overall also highly recommended:)

Room size was typical small size for Tokyo hotels but very clean, and came equipped with a functional microwave and washer dryer combi! I also really liked the smart TV that had Netflix and Youtube amongst others. While the hotel itself is quiet and secure, you have to walk about 1-2 dark streets to get to it and at night it was slightly noisy because I think there are some food establishments nearby. Nevertheless, enjoyed my stay and would come back!

After a few days in capsule hotels, Tokyo Stay Ikebukuro had great amenities with a convenient location to the station. Having my own laundry machine in unit with an actual fridge and microwave was amazing. The staff was always kind and helpful whenever I needed anything. Would definitely book again if whenever I’m in Tokyo.

Great being so close to a Yamamoto line stop so that the rest of Tokyo was easily accessible. However be warned that there does seem to be quite a few strippers on the block. Other than that the room was nice and clean but fairly small, and the staff were super helpful and lovely.

Front desk staff just not helpful. They refuse to even try to communicate in English, except for 1 lady. She wasnt there all the time. Extremely frustrating to deal with them. You ask them a question and they take 10 minutes to just understand exactly what you want. Then using translate tool, ask you the same question that you asked them. In the end, you have justcwasted your time. We ended up taking help from our hotel staff in Kyoto. They were kind enough to help us wirh things about Tokyo. Some nice things about this hotel. Convenient location and 1 minute walk to the JR/metro stations. Only drawback is thst its not on the main road and is licated on a side street. So on way to this hotel, you have to pass by some adult bars, adult entertainment cebters, sone drunk people. But as soon as you come on the main street, its a whole different thing. Amszing neighborhood. We will not stay at Tokyu Stay next time we visit Japan. It will be some other hotel even if we have to pay slightly more. We will still stay in Ikebukuro since its just amazing and convenient to go to places like Shinjuku (4 stops away), Ginza and Shibuya crossing.

リニューアルしたてだからなのかスタッフのホスピタリティは低く、対応も遅く。致命的だったのは仕事で時間がない朝ごはん時、ごはんは各自冷凍おにぎりもらうシステムだったのですが、解凍時間が書いておらずフロントのおじさんに尋ねたらしどろもどろで「このチラシ見てもらえれば…」と。もちろんそれは拝見済みで何もかかれておらず。適当に…とのこと。あとカトラリーが部屋にあるのも何も言われなかったので探し回った。めちゃくちゃ不便です。とりあえずインバウンド向けに日本の宿綺麗ニーズに向けてやってるんだなという印象でした。東急ステイさんはお世話になっていたのですが、ここまで酷いのは初めてです。値段は上がったのにサービスは落ちぶれましたね。

The front desk staff is very helpful. She looks like a foreigner and speaks perfect English. I asked about the location of airport limousine stop and she sent me a detail route map with handwritten explanations. Location of hotel is close to exit C6. Just walk backward from exit, cross 2 small alleys and then down the next street.

Tokyu Stay Ikebukuro has become my go-to when I do my yearly travel to Tokyo! The location is so convenient it’s a 3 min walk to the nearest train station exit C6 with escalators (many exits in Japan are stairs only). There are a lot of actions going on in the area but the hotel is located in a quiet street so you get the best of the two worlds. The staff is super friendly and helpful and my favorite hotel amenity here is def the washer/dryer in unit. I hate taking home dirty clothes so I’m loving doing laundry in the comfort of my own room before heading home. They also provide all sorts of toiletries free for grabs if you need extras (two pairs of slippers in room as well). For the price paid you def get a huge bang of your buck here. Ikebukuro is also a hub for going places in Tokyo on the variety of subway/train lines so I def recommend it!!!

It's a little out of the way of the busier main streets so can be harder to find at night, but it's quieter because of this and still not far from the station. Great place for pedestrians to stay, especially if you travel light. Friendly staff and many conveniences in the room, such as the washer/dryer combo and microwave with dishes provided.

The hotel and staff are excellent and I would stay again. Be warned that the immediant surronding area is targeted towards sketchier night life and you will be approached to go into these seedier establishments. I just pretended not to understand/hear them and wasnt harrassed.

This is my idea of a very basic needs hotel, but perfect for a short stay at a very reasonable cost. Free coffee/tea in the lobby from 7: to 23:00. Only a 5 minute walk to Ikebukuro Station West entrance. Would definitely stay here again.

Directions : Look for Exit C1b from Ikebukuro Station. Turn left & left again into small lane. In a min, u will arrive. Room : Equipped like a mini apartment. Table is rather wobbly in our room. Breakfast : Choice of western or Japanese. Don’t choose Japanese if you’re in a hurry. U need time to bring it to your own room to cook & consume. It’s a novel idea & the butter chicken curry meal was nice. Service : Great! Extras : Welcome pastry & seasonal gift box of simple snacks adds a delightful touch. This is a no frills hotel. Buy your own drinking water & ladies, bring your own skincare.

Everything was good except breakfast. Breakfast was the worst. Japanese breakfast was always sold out. All breakfast was frozen and had to be heated in the microwave. It takes a long time to defrost and the frozen bread in the microwave is soggy. There are only 2 western breakfasts and only the same 2 choices every day. I want my breakfast money back.

We picked this hotel for its proximity to Ikebukuro station. The limousine bus from Narita airport stops very near to the hotel. The hotel is new with very friendly staff. The lobby has an area with one large and a few small tables. The included breakfast could be taken as breakfast or supper. You pick up frozen items and a rice steamer and prepare the meals in your room. The room was so small that there was hardly room for two pieces of carry on luggage but it did have a table, two chairs, a kettle, a hot plate, pot, Sink, fridge with freezer, and washer/dryer combo. The staff provided English instructions on how to use the equipment. There was complementary and coffee in the lobby. There are many restaurants and shops in the area. I would stay here again.
