Great location. For Canadians, two Tim Hortons within a 5 minute walk. ☺️ For those able to walk a mile no problem, most sites within walking distance. The immediate neighbourhood is safe, great for walking, and loaded with places to eat, drink or grab groceries. Take advantage of the free Prado and Reina Sofia (Guernica) hours in an otherwise expensive and busy capital. Hotel was good, staff friendly/helpful; beautiful patio for chilling and planning. As a quibble, I simply don't understand shower stalls without grab bars; I don't know whether this was just my room or all of them, but it makes me nervous.

Accueil 24/24 parlent anglais et français. Très bon accueil proche du métro Grand Via et des magasins et restaurants à pris raisonnables. Une cour à disposition pour se relaxer. Les chambres sont très correctes et propres. Ménage fait tous les jours. Pour le prix je recommande fortement pour un séjour à Madrid.

This is entered through a doorway then take the lift to 5th floor for the hotel rooms, reception and terrace. Small and basic with no frills but a good option for a budget hotel situated in the heart of the city just a gentle stroll down to Grand Via and on to Sol.

Excellent (for its price), clean, essential petit hotel in a very conveniently located area in central Madrid. Walking distance to transportation and major attractions. Hundreds of bars/restaurants in the area. Truly kind, pleasant, and helpful staff and management. Highly recommended--a bargain for its cleanness and location. If I can suggest a further improvement, management may want to direct cleaning staff and guests to limit the noise in the early morning (specially on weekends). Overall, thank you, Hostal America!

Bathroom sink is extra low and tiny. Staff is responsive. LOVELY, spacious outdoor patio for guests to use. Excellent Italian restaurant right across the street + Carrefour is close + nearby Crete coffee is the best with delicious croissants actually prepped in France and more. Our rm was nice size but it was a triple.

Bra läge i spännande kvarter och nära tunnelbana. Rummen ganska små men rent och fräscht. Städning varje dag, vilket börjar bli ovanligt. Ingen frukost men massor av trevliga ställen alldeles i närheten. perfekt för en långhelg i magnifika madrid!

329 euros para una noche en este sitio. La bañera se anega (tengo fotos y vídeo), lo mismo ocurre con el inodoro. 2 de 4 toallas, sucias, al igual que el suelo (foto), la persiana tiene un apaño extraño anudado, está oxidada y no se puede cerrar del todo. Para colmo, hay una terraza justo al otro lado de mi ventana, y hay extranjeros montando un lío monumental, a pie de mi habitación, insisto, de 329 euros, en plena noche. Lástima no poder poner menos de una estrella. Y se venden como de dos... Además, en el acceso al aseo hay un escalón considerable NO marcado. Como entres con la luz apagada, te dejas los dientes. Además de que la accesibilidad es nula. Menudo robo. Una reclamación como un mundo que les va a caer, y las peores reseñas en todos los lugares cuantos pueda. Insisto, todo con fotos y vídeos.

Absolutely horrible, the room has strong smell of cigarettes like people having a huge smoking party in it. I stayed 3 nights with windows open and sprayed air fresh lots of times, still can’t get rid of the smell. Even I hang my washed underwear in the bathroom and my underwear smells like cigarettes. The soap stand was dirty also. Full of dust. Location is perfect tho, and the receptionist was nice. But the room, NAH!!

The Hostal has a great location. It is close to everything but was inconvenient to get taxi or ride share in and out. The staff are really nice. There is always someone in reception. Room and bathroom was big enough and clean. Beds were comfortable. Towels were provided and change everyday. They clean the room everyday. A price is quite high for the hostel.

Demasiado caro para que lo que ofrecen, sobre todo para la habitación tan pequeña de 6mts2!!! Hubo detalles de suciedad en sabanas y toallas!! los enchufes no funcionaban correctamente!!! el baño no tiene extractor!!! no me volvería a quedar por ningún motivo y no lo recomiendo a nadie aunque sea su ultima opción. Lo único bueno es su ubicación pero hasta eso queda empañado. Si al menos cobraran el precio justo por tan malas instalaciones, pero sobre todo eso que abusaron en exagerar el precio!!!

The room was very small. In fact the wardrobe door didn’t open completely because it banged into the television. Also, there was no control for the heat/ac unit. Given those conditions, it certainly wasn’t worth the price I paid.

Pros: 24-hour front desk service with great, friendly staff. Cons: the room was incredibly small and I could feel all the springs on my mattress bed. (Room 507). Extremely uncomfortable and hard to get a good night sleep. Also the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything.

Estaba muy fuerte la calefacción, contaba con aire acondicionado sin embargo no me quisieron dar el control del aire, fue complicado dormir. Las paredes son muy delgadas, así que si te molesta que alguien esté hablando fuerte cuando quieres dormir no es buena opción.

Receptionen var vänlig och öppen 24/7. Vi läste andra recensioner att det skulle vara lyhört. Och det var det - både mellan rummen och från gatan. Receptionen kunde kanske påminna gästerna att man bör visa hänsyn till andra när man kommer in. Många kom mitt i natten och var väldigt högljudda och vissa hade högtalararsamtal tidigt på morgonen i loungen. Men location var fantastisk - allt var nära! Men man bör vara förberedd och ha öronproppar med sig, annars blir det inte mycket sömn.

The Hostal has a great location. It is close to everything but was inconvenient to get taxi or ride share in and out. The staff are really nice. There is always someone in reception. Room and bathroom was big enough and clean. Beds were comfortable. Towels were provided and change everyday. They clean the room everyday. A price is quite high for the hostel.

This is entered through a doorway then take the lift to 5th floor for the hotel rooms, reception and terrace. Small and basic with no frills but a good option for a budget hotel situated in the heart of the city just a gentle stroll down to Grand Via and on to Sol.

Accueil 24/24 parlent anglais et français. Très bon accueil proche du métro Grand Via et des magasins et restaurants à pris raisonnables. Une cour à disposition pour se relaxer. Les chambres sont très correctes et propres. Ménage fait tous les jours. Pour le prix je recommande fortement pour un séjour à Madrid.

Excellent (for its price), clean, essential petit hotel in a very conveniently located area in central Madrid. Walking distance to transportation and major attractions. Hundreds of bars/restaurants in the area. Truly kind, pleasant, and helpful staff and management. Highly recommended--a bargain for its cleanness and location. If I can suggest a further improvement, management may want to direct cleaning staff and guests to limit the noise in the early morning (specially on weekends). Overall, thank you, Hostal America!

Bathroom sink is extra low and tiny. Staff is responsive. LOVELY, spacious outdoor patio for guests to use. Excellent Italian restaurant right across the street + Carrefour is close + nearby Crete coffee is the best with delicious croissants actually prepped in France and more. Our rm was nice size but it was a triple.

Good value for central Madrid. Great location. A bit tricky to find, as it is just a door at street level. Look up for the green hotel sign. Reception on 5th floor.
