Overall a very nice stay. The staff was great. I wouldn’t call this a 5 star luxury hotel. The rooms feel sterile and there is nothing special about them. The rooftop is nice but difficult to spend time at because there are no loungers, only chairs. They also allow the public up around 6 and close the pool. The breakfast was impressive, a lot of options and very good. The staff was very welcoming and kind. Overall a very good experience.

This property has been one of my favorite property thus far. From the staff at check in, to the room, everything was perfect. All of the amenities including the rooftop pool and the wellness center were kept super clean and up to date. The area is walkable and felt safe. Can’t wait to come back and visit to stay here!

We loved our stay at Ohla, had everything we needed for a comfortable and luxurious stay in a fantastic location that can't be beat! Pool is a little on the small side but the rooftop was nice and had a lovely view.

This property is modern and clean. The staff was so helpful throughout our stay and helped organize a private tour of Barcelona and provided recommendations for shopping and dining. The included hotel breakfast was excellent with great options. Hotel is centrally located with lots of shopping/dining around the hotel. The rooftop bar was amazing - especially to see the sunset over the city. Highly recommend this property.

This was a lovely hotel conveniently located in the Gothic Quarter. The building was very attractive and the staff were excellent. They went out of their way to assist us. Two minor complaints: the lights in our room were tricky to opperate and the toilet did not work well. It took several flushes to get a small amount of paper down. All in all, this was an excellent choice.

Liked the location. Very close to the local attractions and shopping. Not a 5 star hotel though- dark everywhere and rooms had lot of ants everywhere, even saw ants in the cereal provided.

This boutique hotel should not have 5 stars. Its junior suite was mediocre… the toilet wreaked and the shower doors don’t close properly so you end up with pools of water outside the shower… The overall service was poor… with the exception of a couple people with whom we interacted with, the staff were not really knowledgeable or pleasant. There were non stop disturbances throughout the night… roadworks, cleaning, people talking loudly… and if that was not enough we got a spam call to the room around 11pm! The breakfast was disappointing. If you expect service or quality of high a caliber this hotel is not for you!

The hotel is magnificent. We really enjoyed staying there. It's a modern facility with excellent service. The hotel is clean with modern amenities. The staff is beyond friendly, helpful, and professional. Free water, champaign, lemonade, and chocolates are at the front desk 24/7. Our stay could not have been better. Additionally, the hotel is centrally located and very close to many shops, restaurants, and other places. We highly recommend Ohla Barcelona Hotel.

Visited in October. Wonderful stay - clean, modern, walkable to many restaurants and close to sightseeing. We weren’t far from the cruise port - just a quick taxi. The rooftop bar is amazing! The breakfast buffet exceptional! Stayed out until 8-9pm and felt safe.The staff were very professional and had excellent customer service and were multilingual. Can also exchange money at front desk.There is a restaurant in the hotel, but we ate out. Will certainly be back.

The location is absolutely outstanding if you are there as a tourist. It is close to everything and easily accessible. The room and other common area facilities were immaculate and very nicely designed. We had booked a deluxe junior suite, which matched the description and pictures exactly. This was all excellent. The problems we experienced were all with the service-we had to call each day late in the afternoon to get housekeeping to come in. That was very curious. Our first morning, we greeted the housekeeping person on our way out and she was coming out of the room next door. Nine hours later, no one had come to clean the room and it was 5:30pm in the afternoon. When I called the front desk they informed me that cleaning hours were 9am to 5pm-well, they had that entire time period open to them but had elected not to come. Each day was like this for housekeeping. There is also an Experience Team, who reached out to us the day before we left home inquiring about preferences for our room set up. That was a nice touch, but we had made the booking months in advance. In any case, we turned the preference request right away, but because of the short lead time, they were unable to translate that into any of preferences we had elected. In the end, they spent more time writing apology notes than actually doing the work. The service at this hotel was extremely poor, which should be easy to remedy. Given the location and the excellent facilities, this could become a great place.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay. The hotel is well maintained and has a modern feel, the common areas, restaurants, room, pool, everything looks fairly new with high level finishes. The room was really nice, the bed was comfortable and we really liked the shower in middle of room (we thought it was a great layout). Most of the staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was better than most hotels we've stayed before. The location is excellent to see all the sights. The only thing that could be improved is some of the security staff were a little aggressive in questioning us upon our return to the hotel in the afternoon. Just because we were wearing shorts and t-shirts doesn't mean we can't be guests at your hotel. Maybe some additional training for that is all that's needed.

Fine franske altaner med udsigt ned til gågade og tagrygge. Sengen var så enormt hård, at jeg havde været lige så komfortabel på gulvet. Hvis jeg havde sagt noget i receptionen, så er jeg sikker på at de ville have forsøgt at fixe det. Service var helt i top. De stod på spring for at hjælpe i receptionen og ved indgangen. Beliggenheden er helt i top!

We were on the 7th floor and there was an issue with excessive noise coming from the rooftop bar. The guest experience staff was very responsive and handled it very well and the issue was quickly resolved.

By far, the excellent service from everyone really stood out! Also, very central location - close to just about everything. Bus stop right out front. Mattresses a little hard but once I mentioned it they added a mattress topper that made it perfect. Very quiet, even though it's on a busy street. Lovely rooftop bar/pool is a very hip scene.

The shower sits in the open which is strange. The lighting was also poor over the sink as the walls are black and provides little lighting when shaving or putting on makeup. Also if someone wants to use the bathroom when another is sleeping, it does not work

The location for this hotel is fantastic - close to the old town but easy walking to everywhere else. Also the metro is just across the road. The room is very basic and not for the modest. Their is no bathroom privacy - the shower is in plain sight of the bedroom with clear glass and absolutely no privacy. It is very confronting and I feel should be made clear on the room description, as I would not have chosen this room or hotel based on this fact. It's very uncomfortable.

Cool hotel. We loved the area in the Gothic Quarter. Safe walking and some restaurants close by. A metro station is across the street. Nice views from the rooftop pool. Great food, service, and ambiance up there. The rooms are chic. Shower is complete glass. So make sure you’re comfortable with whom you’re traveling with.

Hotel is well located with maybe too much emphasis on being ultra-modern. The shower in our room was a glass cage in the middle of the room. Room was spacious. All the lights were recessed for fancy design, but not enough illumination. Breakfast was below average for a hotel at this level - melon wasn't ripe, not many pastry options, no skim milk. Apparently you could order special items, but we weren't told about this. Service was friendly and top notch.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay. The hotel is well maintained and has a modern feel, the common areas, restaurants, room, pool, everything looks fairly new with high level finishes. The room was really nice, the bed was comfortable and we really liked the shower in middle of room (we thought it was a great layout). Most of the staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was better than most hotels we've stayed before. The location is excellent to see all the sights. The only thing that could be improved is some of the security staff were a little aggressive in questioning us upon our return to the hotel in the afternoon. Just because we were wearing shorts and t-shirts doesn't mean we can't be guests at your hotel. Maybe some additional training for that is all that's needed.

I wasn’t really happy with the room we were given. It was not a cleanliness issue but more an incompatibility thing. The next morning I mentioned it at the desk after breakfast. I was assured the manager would call me as soon as she arrived as ultimately they wanted us to be happy. Alba was wonderful! She understood our concern and showed us another room which worked for us so much better. We were much happier! Besides Alba, we’d like to thank Zak, Manuel and Javi for all they did to help us during our stay and to the young lady who walked outside with us to point us in the direction of the restaurant we couldn’t find, Thank You again. Ohla Barcelona was the best hotel I have ever stayed at in all of my travels. From the minute we walked through the door, we were greeted warmly and handed a glass of sparking wine! We arrived hours prior to check-in and the friendly staff offered several recommendations of places to visit and to eat while waiting for our room. We were also celebrating a milestone birthday and once we got to our room, a bottle of chilled sparking wine was awaiting us as a birthday surprise!! Each time we left the hotel for another adventure, Rafael asked us if we needed any directions or other advice! No matter when we left or arrived, there he was assisting us and enhancing our stay at the hotel and in Barcelona! On the day of check-out, before boarding our ship, we were surprised with birthday balloons for the birthday celebration. I can't say enough about the hotel and the incredible staff!! I am really surprised at all the glowing reviews. This was a very average hotel. For the price we paid, this hotel was not worth it. I felt this property is overhyped. Rooms are small, lobby is very small. And this property gives preference to those that book direct on their website discriminating against those that use travel websites. They upgraded my friend who booked direct but did not upgrade us.

Very nice hotel with a lovely rooftop bar and pool. What really shines through is the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. Javi was a huge help changing our train tickets which is no small feat with Renfe! He also had a lot of great recommendations for dining. Thanks Javi!

The location is absolutely outstanding if you are there as a tourist. It is close to everything and easily accessible. The room and other common area facilities were immaculate and very nicely designed. We had booked a deluxe junior suite, which matched the description and pictures exactly. This was all excellent. The problems we experienced were all with the service-we had to call each day late in the afternoon to get housekeeping to come in. That was very curious. Our first morning, we greeted the housekeeping person on our way out and she was coming out of the room next door. Nine hours later, no one had come to clean the room and it was 5:30pm in the afternoon. When I called the front desk they informed me that cleaning hours were 9am to 5pm-well, they had that entire time period open to them but had elected not to come. Each day was like this for housekeeping. There is also an Experience Team, who reached out to us the day before we left home inquiring about preferences for our room set up. That was a nice touch, but we had made the booking months in advance. In any case, we turned the preference request right away, but because of the short lead time, they were unable to translate that into any of preferences we had elected. In the end, they spent more time writing apology notes than actually doing the work. The service at this hotel was extremely poor, which should be easy to remedy. Given the location and the excellent facilities, this could become a great place.

Cool hotel. We loved the area in the Gothic Quarter. Safe walking and some restaurants close by. A metro station is across the street. Nice views from the rooftop pool. Great food, service, and ambiance up there. The rooms are chic. Shower is complete glass. So make sure you’re comfortable with whom you’re traveling with.

I loved that certain staff members such as their experience department and the bellhop went above and beyond to make my stay special, enjoyable and memorable. Their service in particular was excellent. What I didn’t like was the limited seating for breakfast buffet in the morning, where we had to wait for a table to open up. It felt like I was going to dinner at a restaurant. Other hotels have bigger dining areas for breakfast buffet, which makes it easy to come in the morning to sit anywhere and eat breakfast without feeling rushed due to time limitation.

We enjoyed one of the tasting menu dinners in their Michelin star restaurant which was not only delicious, presented beautifully with the staff service being second to none - something to always remember! The location of the hotel was perfect, right next to the Gothic quarter and adjacent to Born where there were some lovely restaurants. Also very close the the cathedral with it's bustling square.
