The hotel facilities were good, but the service at the bar was disappointing\. We were repeatedly ignored, even while standing directly in front of the waiter and trying to get his attention\. Although the bar was busy and he appeared to be working alone, he immediately noticed us when we decided to leave and asked us to sign the bill\. This made us feel that he had seen us all along but had simply chosen to ignore us\.

This property was clean and the bed was comfortable. My room faced the courtyard, which let in a lot of light and had the benefit of being quiet. The room was large, with a desk, safe, and small refrigerator. The only negative I had was that the lobby had a very strong smell of cleaning product. Thankfully the room had no smell at all, which was great. The breakfast is fantastic. And the location is wonderful - close enough to everything to easily walk to the sites, but just far enough removed to not be noisy. If I were to come to Dresden I would stay here again. And when I go elsewhere I'll check out the NH Collection if it's available.
